just tried this on my 2005 Zafira Design 1.9 cdti (150) i have the car with spanner light on and got code ECN 038008 just done a little research turns out its my glow plugs, cheers for the vid :)
I have always this code, I have changed the glow plugs and checked all the cables and controllers, and still this error keeps on. Do you solve this issue?
hi it looks like the related codes are P0136 and P0141.....suggests O2 sensor malfunction...there are two on the Zafira...one at the front near engine and one at the back at the exhaust/catalytic converter bit......hope this helps
Sophie Ireson the lambda sensor on the catalyst will need you to go under the car...so I would suggest it's best to play safe and get a garage to do it for you...the front o2 sensor can be accessed easily from engine bay.. there's an electronic connection that's easy to unplug, but unless you have the right socket set to unscrew the other connecting end...best to get garage to sort it. hope this helps.
that's not the engine Light that's flashing, it's the emissions Light. Usually when it is constantly flashing it's warning that the catalytic convertor is running too hot and the engine needs to be shut down. this is usually down to unburned fuel exiting the cylinder via the exhaust. The codes usually describe symptoms rather than causes, ie misfire cylinder 4, so be prepared to think it through, the codes are just one part of the puzzle. As a rule when encountering emission faults in a petrol engine check the spark plugs first. The condition and colour will tell you a lot. If they have done more than 10k miles or are over 3 yo change them. Have fun ✌
Either the mechanic has taken you for a ride or that engine is too far gone. Best thing to do is just pay the extra to get proper diagnosis at the main dealer then get local garage to do the fixing.
Hi, I have 4 codes that have come up. ECN017152, ECN057101, ECN111261 and ECN 121700. Any ideas what these are and if they are easy/cheap to fix. Trying to working out if it's worth fixing or scrapping. Thanks in advance for any help.
Your first code would suggest the egr valve is blocked or dirty, as a cheap fix could perhaps just be cleaned and that does the trick. The others suggest you may need cam sensor or worst case a new inlet manifold. The last is around the lack of pressure to the radiator...maybe an air lock somewhere or slight leak. With these codes it's also prudent to double check the O2 sensors. It all depends how old your car is and its value. These repairs can pretty quickly add up. If car is only worth Few hundred then cut your losses I'd personally say. But of course up to you. Hope this helps
@@sutsi thank you for your help. The car is 12 years old and has only done 86k miles. We bought it second hand 15 months ago and have already spent nearly £500 on it. If it was going to be relatively cheap then we would fix it, but for part exchange the cars only going to be worth around £500 so probably not worth wasting the money to fix it.
hi there my car won't start so I've done the pedal test it's give me 13604 13607 & 14100 I've looked on Google but can't find these anywhere do you know what they are pls x
You can reset by disconnecting the battery for 10 mins...but I found best and quickest way is to put one of those cheap £5 Bluetooth fault readers from eBay to clear using the free torque lite fault code reader app. These readers won't give you the codes you get using peddle test, they just come up with generic stuff but are useful for resetting eml light sign. Hope this helps
It was just for a bit of humour, I'm double jointed so the kids usually like it when I do the dinosaur thing.. unusual I know, it seemed a good idea at the time, but got a reaction anyway (albeit not always positive lol)
P0520 = Engine oil pressure switch/sensor malfunction. Possible causes are wiring, pressure sensor/switch or ECU. But bear in mind things like a bad connection on alternator/weak battery can also set off an array of error codes, so this will depend on your particular symptoms
this is only for the Zafira B... I'm afraid I haven't tried with keyless....for yours try using one of the £5 obd2 readers to get codes...download torque lite app on android for free..which links via Bluetooth with the obd2 reader. hope this helps.

I have a 2003 holden astra and got a diagnostic test done and said it was the ecu thing acting up

Does your engine light come on from cold start then goes off after a minute or so. If not then it's not a glow plug fault.
Hi friend can help me about the dashboard in a car Opel Astra h 2007 suddenly does not work, no light and no power like cattle drive

Hi, please could you advise where the crank shaft sensor would be located on a Zafira B 1.8 petrol 62 plate? Thanks
How do you clear the engine light once you’ve got the codes?

wtf was the end ?!
ValeBoyTV 😂😂😂😂😂

OK I'm not sure if you will ever read this but its worth a try fault 17152 what was the fault and solution please.
This code refers to fuel being too lean. Most common relates to blocked egr valve. Try cleaning the egr as the first port of call.
is it gonna work on vivaro 2.0cdti 2008
Doesn't work on my Zafira A 2003. No codes, just flashing engine light
Too old this is for zafira b and other vauxhalls with the same speedo style

This error code is for a crankshaft sensor
