Anyway i tried to follow your instructions - strewth i could not get the screw driver to push the knob up. Well i can push it up, but the air bad and attachment will not move. Spent all day trying, but had to give up. Im assuming that you have to get the screw driver and press up? And not across? After that, after giving up and putting everything back....i tested it and my horn actually works, perfectly! No idea what i did, apart from twisting and poking the attachment etc. Cheers!

It had to be done! It's a top car now, so should sell for top money! Did you refurb the alloys. A week back I had to drive a Fiesta back from Blackbushe with a slipping clutch. I could write a book about that adventure!🙄

Thanks for this video! We just bought a Yaris 1.5 hybrid and was wondering where the 12V battery was! Am I correct in assuming this toyota is just as their other hybrid vehicles with discharging the 12V when you are on a long (4 to 8 weeks) holiday? Do you know of an easier way to prevent it other than disconnecting the 12V battery? I am not in favor leaving my ctek charger on unattended. I noticed under the hood there is a red connection point where you can connect an auxiliary battery, maybe it is possible to disconnect the 12V battery at that point somehow?

I've had four of those. Its ok car but overrated. First of all, its not so comfortable as you think - both the space for driver and rear passengers are surprising limited, for example once my right knee hitted the car key while driving and the car of course stopped - it took me a while to figure out what had happened. Drivers seat is far from comfortable, for example the small hatchback Xsara has way better seat. Rear seats are kind from a train, stiff and upright. Then the visibility. You won't see very well how the road continues when driving a curve to the left. There are also many good things in this car, otherwise I wouldn't have owned it 5 years, but please don't title this as the most comfortable one. Also surprisingly the equipment level is poorer compared to hatchback xsara - the roof light has less functionality, the oil level indicator is missing from dashboard etc. One think I like in this, the battery is located under driver seat so if you want to install an audio amplifier, it will be an easy task with cables.

Thanks for this video. Like a lot of other comments I was super dubious as I couldn’t see the pin you were referring to in your video, but I thought let’s have a look. I could actually see the pin you referred too before I unscrewed the locking mechanism so thought that’s a good start. After getting some room I couldn’t budge the pin so nearly gave up. After some perseverance it started to move and “hay presto”, it went all the way in and the noise is gone. Thanks for the tip, my daughter is super happy the noise has gone on her car and I’m a hero. Cheers!

Damn, I'm saving this video. I just got a used nissan rogue and it makes the same noise. Previous owner said it did that the whole time she had it so it must be normal. I was like..no..it should not make that sound. I was about to go price out a new actuator. I'm gonna hold off on that till I try finding that pin this weekend.

It will be the wiper spindle that is ceased, usually the drivers one , about £20 on ebay !

I live in Las Vegas and it is very hot here I run the air conditioning on full blast almost all summer. I get 45mpg in the summer, 52mpg in the winter, and the highest was 63mpg

It is a good car indeed, however I would advise against the diesel. The EGR clogs up, otherwise everything works as new 20 years later.
