Although, the Superboy Prime punching reality did make me wonder if all of Marvel’s continuity errors, characters appearing alive despite being dead and even how all the characters are living their lives throughout the different decades without seemingly aging is due to time and space being affected by time-travel and other cosmic events. Like it’s hiccuping from time to time, quickly changing things or moving time along without aging the characters. It’s something I don’t want addressed or answered, only that it’s a thing that is happening without the characters even knowing.

The problem with retconning sins past was that they would have had to actually reference sins past, and really, who wants that? I think Gwen just having no idea about any of it serves as a soft retcon.
They should have just said it was her clone or something stupid so that it's just so complicated that no one wants to even think about having to think about it

Clone Conspiracy aka the worst story written by Dan Slott, who begged comic book stores on Twitter to order extra copies of this because it was going to be so good he knew they're going to need them (to go bankrupt), makes the perfect recipe for great Back Issues.
I don't think I've ever laughed so hard during a #BackIssues as I did with this but starting at 29:53. This episode is going on my list of favorites. LMFAO
Dominic Glover I really hope we have a guy who knows Spider-man writing the new book. Dan Slott pissed me off so much in his long run. He made Felicia unlikable and look like a dummy during Superior Spider-man. Same with Mary Jane.
Yeah Sal really needs to read passed issue 1. As for while there before the Spectacular Spider-man relaunch happened it was to me the best main universe spider-man title.
I actually like Slott's run and enjoyed this clone saga. This Back Issues episode was still funny though. The story does explain why Ben is acting the way he is. He was tortured for awhile while Jackal (Miles Warren) was experimenting with "reanimation." Somewhere towards the end when you find out Ben is still alive he ends up in one more battle with MIles Warren. As far as why Spider-Man and Spider Gwen didn't get infected, it spreads via skin contact and they wear full suits. Not saying the story is without issues but I just happen to remember those items. Love the show. :)
Slott's best work was earlier during the Brand New Day Era (when he had check and balance system) and early into his Solo run. Once he hit ends of the earth his stuff took a nose dive for me. It became The Amazing Slott-Man and his amazing fan-fics. Now that his run is sandwiched between JMS and Spencer he exposed I think even more. As a meh writer.

+Kevin Bevel Jr I honestly didn't care for "Spider-Island" or most of the stories during the "Big Time" era (excluding "No One Dies"). While Slott has had a few winners under his belt, most of his work has ranged from mediocre to awful in my opinion.
M.T.KaiserSoze Fun fact he was supposed to write a Spider man comic back late 90s-early ‘00s, Which was supposed to be Batman Arkham Asylum mad house on a serious earth type book for spider man with mysterio as the villain but he lost interest in writing the character
Hey Sal! lol I'm not Morlun fanboy or anything but I look back on his introduction as pretty damn awesome. I was a kid at that point and had never seen that brutal of a fight in comics. Ive never seen Spider-Man struggle so hard! He may be a jackass but the dude Morlun had gravitas back in the day lol
Clone in the title, instant maniacal grin on my face...btw, were you guys planning to do a manga at some point (maybe by Tiffany) or is my brain completely making this up...I would be pretty excited about Attack on Titan or Fullmetal Alchemist since you recently referenced it

Joshua Nelson It was. That's why they started mining it. Just like the Death of Gwen Stacy was great, but it was a terrible idea to bring back Norman Osborn and mine that history to death and decay.
+SirToby I actually really liked the fact that Marvel brought Norman back from the dead because I think it made for a lot of really interesting stories. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the constant use of clones.
There were a lot of good stories in Conway's run, partly because he was just writing Amazing Spider-Man as best he could rather than writing an "event" that had to be coordinated with a bunch of other writers and jammed into numerous titles. Clones were also just one story element that he used and not the main focus of every issue and that made a big difference for the better.
"Who wants to read about Ben Reilly?" Me, who likes his character and think it's a damn shame for this character assassination. Also, the new series is actually pretty good and fun. I'm getting all the trades. 🙂

The weirdest thing about this to me is that if I talk to anyone who read comics in the 90s a lot will say the clone saga sucked but they liked scarlet Spider. Then this comes along rehashing the horrible event and says," you know what, let's mess up Scarlet Spider to."

Technically it’s not crazy to say a clone would have the exact same memory as the original if you can somehow become a mega geneticist/eugenicist. Our long term memory is mainly dependent on dendrites in our brain that are formed from repeated or... well let’s say severe exposure to information/stimuli. If you could somehow replicate the exact pattern of dendrites within someone brain you could (possibility) create an exact memory clone of someone. I’d argue that you could theoretically rearrange someone’s memory via nano technology which is some scary stuff via neurosurgery but that’s some craziness that is insane but not currently possible.
For those of you still wondering how Ben Reilly came back to life- Superboy Prime punched reality.
"Barry?! Did you go back in time to stop your mother's death, again?!
