I don't want to make excuses but essentially I hit a terrible string of bad luck and between my computer's hard drive breaking and catching the flu I haven't been able to give the channel the attention it needed. Roly ECCO the Dolphin was a slight reference to a real life event in history. Except the alien bit of ECCO's game irl was all in the head a person who had too much drugs and broke in the mind, and ECCO wasn't the irl ddolphin's name that was part of history, it was the name of the alien group imagined in the crazy mind of the person who had too much drugs in them, that even having some of that drug is harmful to the body. At the end of said story in history, the dolphin suffered so much it commited suicide by drowning itself. No joke, that really happened.
Tomo Saki, it's true about the dolphin, and it's also true that the scientist overseeing him had visions induced by psychedelic drugs about dolphins and aliens. I don't think, however, that it's true his mind eventually broke. If I remember correctly, he learnt from how he'd mistreated the dolphin who committed suicide, and worked later in life to improve their conditions.
I’m just wondering how his drugged up mind came up with such an elaborate story about the aliens and whatnot. Usually when your subconscious causes you to have dreams or visions, it makes stuff up based on memories, only with the occasional dream/vision that comes true and seems to have predicted the future. From what I’ve been told, hallucinogens cause the brain’s dream sequence to start up while you’re still awake, causing you to see images from your subconscious mixed in with your real surroundings. Perhaps he’d watched one too many science fiction movies before dropping acid?
How did Panzer Dragoon Saga not make the list in some form? I know it's not the rarest game out there, but at $800+ for a complete US copy , I'd say it's worth a nod at least lol.

The Blockbuster video game championships weren't put on by Sega! they were held by a partnership between Gamepro magazine and Blockbuster and had a variety of both snes and Genesis games. I competed in both of them, though I was young then. I remember playing Clayfighter, virtua racing, sonic 3, NBA jam, and Tmnt Tournament Fighters, then the second year it was Donkey Kong Country, and a handful of genesis games I couldn't play because they made you register to a single platform and wouldn't let you swap. I came in the top 10 in my store for Donkey Kong Country, but didn't get anything special. I do remember getting a consolation prize of a pack of Marvel Super Heroes trading cards, and in the pack was a cool foil Nightcrawler and a Gambit card. anyway that's neither here nor there, I just wanted to say that the Blockbuster stuff wasn't a sega exclusive thing.
That Blockbuster game with NBA jam/judge dredd brings back memories. My bro played that and won at a store in Westford, MA. They gave him a framed certificate for being the winner of the store. Too bad they didn't just give him their copy of the game cart.
Some people say the Sega Master System version of Sonic Spinball is extremely rare and worth about £80 with a box and a manual or something. I've never got that; I bought my copy about 4 or 5 years ago in Wales for £3, and the manual hasn't even been touched before by the looks of it.
Ristar is so rare and forgotten it isn't even on top 10 rare and forgotten Sega games in general or Genesis games. The game is basically the most hidden a gem could be because it was released for the Genesis in 1995. Same can be said for the Game Gear version.
I had M.U.S.H.A. I like to think I still have it somewhere in one of my boxes that I've moved over and over. I still had the box and instruction book last I checked just a few years ago. I didn't know Wii re-released it. Hopefully that means we'll see it on the Nintendo Switch Eshop, or XboxOne Live DLC. I have the ROM but it's really hard to play with the keyboard if you're not an avid gamer like many of you here.
I managed to get several rare Sega Saturn releases such as Panzer Dragoon Saga (English version), Mega Man 8, and House of the Dead. I paid a lot of money to win each in eBay auctions, but they are worth much more than any Call of Duty game ever released. I did see one of the 2 known prototypes for the Atari Jaguar VR headset on sale on eBay 2 years ago for US$9000. If only I was made of money!
Daze before christmas (MD, Australia), Eliminate Down (MD Japan), Thunderbolt 2 (MD Korea), Fire and Ice (master system Brazil), Psychic Taromaru (Saturn japan)... aussie boxsets of primal Rage, Batman forever and Phantom 2040 are far rarer than the Ecco set. Id even say the Donald Duck lucky dime caper master system boxset is harder to find than Ecco.
The rarest game has to be Kid Chamelon, I know it sold a lot of copies but it was so difficult people probably yanked it out the system whilst still on and threw it at the cat in frustration. This game probably also caused the death of a few control pads and tvs.
For some reason, he left out 32X games. Knuckles' Chaotix is nothing compared to some other games on the console, like Darxide, World Series Baseball, and Spider-Man: Web of Fire.
You should’ve included the 1985 arcade game FlashGal. Not even Sega knows that game exists, and they fucking made it for corn’s sake!!!! It’s a great Kung Fu Master-style beat ‘em up where you play as a Wonder Woman lookalike and fight mafia goons, punks, runaway ostriches, and a fat mob boss, and killing the enemies replenishes your life meter a little bit at a time. Also some vehicle/shooter levels are thrown in there for extra variety. (Come to think of it, Golgo 13 for Nintendo has very similar play mechanics to FlashGal; same “earn life back for killing bad guys” rule, same mixture of platforming and vehicle levels, you fight hand to hand if you don’t have a gun, etc.)
I still got my copy of Bangi-O, in original case and no scratches. I got it at Funcoland for $17.00 back in 2002. I had no idea it was worth so much. And I have no intention of selling it!
The Street fighter team has re-released some rare mega drivegames that were pretty obscure, I own Beggar prince which retails for £100+ PAL Alien soldier is also hard to come by (own complete £140+)

Obviously anyone can emulate any old system, but when I plug in my Sega CDX and play my copy of Snatcher that I bought back in 1994 (or was it 95?), as I'm sure you know what what I mean. To RandomTens As you know Nintendo Wii virtual console is shutting down March 26, 2018 which means you can no longer get MUSHA or other games. I bought MUSHA on the SD memory card as I didn't have enough memory space on the Wii U. MUSHA is a frustrating game it's very hard to win. I'm scared that MUSHA won't be available on the Wii virtual console anymore. I want it available on the Nintendo Switch virtual console. It really is a bummer that people will have to pay alot of money on MUSHA sega cartridge.
