One of my fondest memories when collecting goes as follows: I had a small collection of 10-or-so games when I was a kid, and one of those few original games I bought was Plants vs. Zombies on the DS. Was a good port of the original game. Then, I traded it in and forgot it existed. 10 years later, I had amassed a shelf of video games because a retro game store opened, and subsequently closed, so I had no access to buying retro games at all. In an eb games, they were selling off all their old and outdated DS games. I see Plants Vs. Zombies for the DS. I figure I'd buy it because why not? I put it in my DS and loaded it up. My first-ever video game-Legend of Legaia-is definitely one of the rarest & most valuable PS1 games; (especially, mint). The price keeps going up each and every month.
I remember physically holding that Clayfighter blockbuster cartridge so many years ago. It’s so weird how games you see at retail price become worth 100s of dollars just a decade or so later.
I've heard rumors of a 2nd Sonic 2 with the line. It was lost in a shipwreck in the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean. Definitely worth keeping an eye out for it.
The rarest Nintendo DS game that I own would have to be "Solatorobo: Red The Hunter", which is definitely a game that absolutely no one even knows about except for me, and my copy even came bundled with a CD soundtrack containing music from the game.
I made a game on my family's Macintosh when I was 14, and saved it on a floppy disk. I still have that disk but the computer is long gone. Is the only copy I made. That makes it the rarest game in the world.
0:32 HOWEVER, its available digital on the PS Store for $20. This is another thing to consider about rare and valuable games, if it is available on a digital storefront, is it really rare(when said storefront is still up and not shut down) if people could buy it on their console for way less?
Gotcha Force was my jam as a kid. I wish i could find my copy just to play it again. Such a weird cute game. Taking on Dragons as tanks, taking on tanks as ninjas, taking on ninjas as floating death fortresses. So unique and fun.

$300 for ur sonic 2 with a line
There’s no way you would pay that much. $10000 at most.
woodenFrog r/wooosh
@@humbertoquackenbush3932 But his choice to only drop it to 10'000 states he does get the joke and you missed his.
100000
Rarest Game now is Probably the McDonald’s training game for the DS.
Yes
It was so rare and obscure it didn't make it into the video.
I literally came here to say that too 😂
There were at least hundreds of them made, there are definitely rarer games
Sonic 2 with a line is rarer
Hey Scott! All here, would you consider doing a review for the Donkey Kong Country trilogy? (I changed it to all, y'all happy?)
ITS NOT Y’ALL ITS ALL
Helix Adam Oxford hey y’all fuck off
Helix Adam Oxford it's "heil Scott here"
all*
It's all not yall
When Scott dies, we should all refer to him as "The Guy Who Owned Sonic Jam".
He just died in the newest episode rip
I was expecting him to yell, “POOP SLINGER?” At the end
he shoulda
nothing's rarer than sonic 2 with a line
My cousin worked at sega. He actually has a Sonic 2 With A Line cart in original packaging.
Mikus Duncis We need proof, CAUSE THE INTERNET CANT TRUST ANYTHING!
JOKES ON YOU! MINE HAS A BROWN LINE!!!
eww...
why does "my cousin worked at sega" sound more believable than "my dad worked at nintendo"
@@AquinasMusic ok smart ass
Oh boy I'm so excited to pay $900 to play NBA Elite 11 in 2019
Right! I’m a sports loving guy but even I wouldn’t drop that kind of cash
10:59 I agree, it is the rarest game of all time...
Wait Mario And Sonic Rio 2016 is rare?
I'll be right back
Back yet?
@@HanSanwich He probably got it and is still playing the game
:Dillon Wingull 3ds one?
Carter Hughes me too, I genuinely felt a little important when Scott put that as one of his rare games.
So THAT's why they stole it from that Nathaniel Bandy!
2:10 are we just gonna ignore that article about Croc gloves up there
I'm afraid
If Scott keeps referencing *Donkey Kong Barrel Blast*
He might as well just do a video all about it.
Shhh that's the joke
Or maybe a video about chibi robo zip lash and the history of their rivalry.
Episode 200 confirmed
@@turbobist2889 Flash forward to 2020:
The rarest Nintendo DS game that I own would have to be "Solatorobo: Red The Hunter", which is definitely a game that absolutely no one even knows about except for me, and my copy even came bundled with a CD soundtrack containing music from the game.
I dare you to auction that Sonic 2 cartridge on eBay. Find out it's true value.
Omg he totally should
@@AdamsAppleseed and then he did
@@apikamain3yearsago941 Seriously? Show me it.
I... Actually have a copy of Poop Slinger. Also I’m friends who plays Shantae on his Game Boy
MrPomegranX [David] actually?
Welp, I finally know who to worship to
and my dad works at nintendo
Nafi Napkin yes, but you’d be bowing down to a Shantae fan and is that REALLY what you want to be doing? 🤔
MrPomegranX [David] kill him and become the boy with Shantae
Can you sell sonic 2 with a line just to see how much it'll get?
It'll probably fetch in the higher hundreds of dollars simply because it's Scott memorabilia
ikr, let's get meta up in this bitch!
I made a game on my family's Macintosh when I was 14, and saved it on a floppy disk. I still have that disk but the computer is long gone. Is the only copy I made.
That makes it the rarest game in the world.
Drew a line on my Sonic 2 just to devalue your collection and send you into bankruptcy
I dont think that how the mafia works
“You couldn’t pay me to pay this much.” -Scott The Woz 2019
Me: *has to go to sleep for school tomorrow*
Scott: *uploads*
Me: "Sleep is for the weak"
school is for the weak
Bro sleeping at 10:00 or above is DEFINITELY weak.
Every Sunday, ever.
A small price to pay for salvation.
I feel you there
0:32 HOWEVER, its available digital on the PS Store for $20. This is another thing to consider about rare and valuable games, if it
is available on a digital storefront, is it really rare(when said storefront is still up and not shut down) if people could buy it on their console for way less?
If Scott’s epitaph isn’t “he owned sonic jam” I’m going to kill someone
two for the price of one
"Scott flexes on us with his rare games for 11 minutes" the movie
My rare games:
Banjo Kazooie
Conkers bad fur day
Perfect dark
Okay yeah this joke sucks
My RARE games because banjo Kazooie and the other games were made by Rare a game company.......clever
Alex Parsons yes, that’s what he was going for he literally said it in the comment
It took me 10 seconds to understand the joke and now I feel stupid
Fluffyplayery "Okay yeah this joke sucks" is a hidden gem.
What about donkey kong 64 with a line? That was the best rare game ever produced.
rewatching this post covid and how prices have changed
Gotcha Force was my jam as a kid. I wish i could find my copy just to play it again. Such a weird cute game. Taking on Dragons as tanks, taking on tanks as ninjas, taking on ninjas as floating death fortresses. So unique and fun.
12 year olds be like: EEEEWW GOTCHA
literally searched ebay for Sonic 2 with a line, and I found it!
Wesley Ackerman your bluffing
Edit my god I’m sorry
@@dorksdomain8355 why did you ever doubt?
Wesley Ackerman you should add the fact that it’s 16,000
I couldn’t find it and now I’m sad

It's sonic 2 with a line, is a sentence I quote daily
1:23 "You won't see anyone breaking down my door for this...maybe"
I was expecting the end-of-video joke to be that after he said this.
Nope Sonic 2 with a line
Everyone always asks: "What are the rarest games of all time?" But no one asks: "How are the rarest games of all time?"
I'll do you one better: Why are the rarest games of all time?
So true :(
I'll do *you* one better. When are the rarest games of all time?
If the answer isn't "fun" or "enjoyable" in some capacity, I don't care.
I'll do you one better: Where are the rarest games of all time?
Hey all! Running from federal authorities because I haven't paid my taxes since 2008 here!
It's "Hey all."
its hey all

cool
FBI open up
Here’s a copy of donkey Kong barrel blast to keep you going
1:38 Well, now people are willing to pay three hundred for it!!!
Scott you are literally the bane of Gamestop's existence. I had to trade it pretty much freaking everything over the years to get new stuff. You need to upload your collection as an image so i can make wallpaper out of it while i play my emulators
Hey, Scott did the same himself until he got a job.
Me: well the jokes on you, Scott, the rarest game of all time is actually sonic 3 with a line.
41017B Short Circuit what about sonic 5 with a line? That one is extra rare for two reasons. 1. There are zero copies that exist. 2. There are zero copies of sonic 5 without a line as well do you cant even add a line to one of them because there are less then one that exist.
But what what about, get this sonic ‘06 with a line, since nobody bought it?
41017B Short Circuit Or even sonic '06 with decent gameplay.
ARZ you just ended sonic teams career
