Suggestion: for engine-bay cleanups, get yourself a cheap, 1-gallon plastic pump sprayer for the de-greaser. This will make quick work of the application, saving the hand exercise, and the wand will get in all the hard to reach places not easily reached with a bottle sprayer. Trust me, this will be your go-to method for de-greasing engine bays prior to pressure washing! 👍
I was 22 when this car was built so these were commonplace back then. It's unfortunate that so many people today think a full-size car is a Taurus or Honda or Toyota. A lot has been lost since then. Thank you for a great job on the Buick.
my wife and I have been married since 1979. I watch all your videos but she don't. She did watch one of the motorhome videos and like it. Well, she watch the last Wildcat video all the way to the end because she had a 1969 Grand Prix and really liked it. So much more to the story but, the reason I'm sending you this message is because she wants to make an off of $4000 for the Wildcat. We live in North Central Illinois and it would be about a 14 hour drive to get to you. I do have some physical constraints so it would be a bit of a long trip for me but, I'm willing to give it a shot. Anyway, let me know and God bless you and your family.
Loved this series. I personally think you could easily get $5000-$5500 without even trying! But good on you guys for not being greedy. That’s why this channel is one of the best and one of my new favorites.
Miichael, I love watching you and Dad work. You guys have such a laid back attitude. I love what you all do. This Wildcat is an awesome car. I had a '72 Skylark and it's pretty amazing what a family resemblance the dashboard of those two cars have. What you are asking for that car seems more than fair. Looking forward to more from you.
$3500 to $4000 is NOT an excessive amount considering that you already have $2500 approximately invested in this fabulous 55 year old car that is in exceptional condition, body-wise, for having sat for so many years. Go for it! And good luck. Great job!! 👍 Glad you and yours are safe. From a southwest Missouri subscriber. ❤
I can’t believe that you are selling that beautiful ride for $3500. Love your channel. Love your integrity. Someone is going to get a screaming deal and I hope they love it and don’t just flip it.
What a nice car, I’m 70, these cars are what my parents drove and what I drove when I got my drivers license, I wish the younger car people could experience these nice old cars, love it
I love to see just a 'regular car' get rescued like this Wildcat. This was "everyday transportation" that never gets love. Everyone wants the magic '57 chevy 2 door to customize, but no one remembers that there was a '57 chevy 4-door that Mom and Dad took the kids to church in. If I had $4k to burn, I'd be all over this one. Its a GREAT survivor!
I watched all the episodes about this car and got a lot of pleasure, so now I am your subscriber :) Thank you very much for all your hard work, for bringing such beautiful and legendary cars back to life! Hello from Kharkiv, Ukraine! 👋
I had a 1969 Electra 225 convertible, and I will tell you that those 430 powerd Buicks were quick for big cars and handled good for the large wheel base that those cars have. You guys did a great job on that old Wildcat.
I'm not even remotely into cars like that, but I'd pay $4K for that cool cruiser. The smiles it will bring to your face when you roll down the windows and take it out for a sunny summer day's drive are worth it. Plus, you will socialize everywhere you park with people wanting to talk about it. The amount of TLC you and your dad put into is worth much more than the little profit you deserve.
It's nice to see the work that goes into a car before you buy it. Before you said the asking price, I was thinking it's worth every bit of $5k. Good job!
Hurts me every time I see one of your successes. I'll just keep my old Ranger going. Your Dad did look good behind the wheel of that land yacht. You should make him drive it for a couple weeks. He deserves it for all the hard work he puts in for the channel. Do not take the kids for a ride in it. They will fall in love with that back seat. LOL So glad you came through the storm okay. 17 hrs. is doable. Did 18 days once. Ain't Coleman great.
Great job on the Wildcat!! My Dad had a 69 4 door LeSabre, similar car to the Wildcat from what I could see. Learned to drive and took my exam in that car. When I used to borrow the car I would flip the air cleaner lid over and put the wingnut back on and that quadrajet would scream when the secondaries opened. 😱
I do like you’re work and video’s so much and it’s good to see you save all these wunderfull classics from the scrap yard! Keep up the good work and I’ll keep watching your videos. You guys are the best and also good to see the father and son working so good together. All the best for you guys, best regards from The Netherlands.
I love what you and your dad do with these old big old boats like this keeping them alive as far as I’m concerned that’s American and I’m glad you and your family are OK brother love that motor sound I’m 68 years old. I would love to have that car and keep it the rest of my life
1969 Buick 430-4, 360 hp 475 tq. My dad had a 1968 wildcat with that motor, I remember it was a tire fryer in high school in the 70s. Great job fixing that up guys. Another classic back on the road. 👍👌
That car is "America"...as an Aussie I love it. If I came and lived in the USA... I'd have to daily that kind of car no matter what. I enjoy watching your work, and your attention to "the detail that matters" in your work. Survivors are where it's at... they have character and even though you might not know the stories they carry, by keeping them as survivors they have that aura of the many stories they carry. Walking up to them, that old smell, the little marks and dings all tell a story. Fully restored they become an empty shiny vessel... that looks awesome but it's history is destroyed in the restoration process.
Just a tip to consider - I wouldn't have used a grinder near the gas tank with it "open" like that. Even just the fumes could cause some excitement for you! Love watching your videos, especially the motorhome series. Great stuff.
Great video as always! loved how at the end you showed how much you spent on the car and how much its worth right now.... i think you should do it in every video.
I absolutely LOVE the thorough work and attention to detail that you fellas have! NICE JOB!! Something to consider - when you have different metals such as steel bolts going into aluminum timing cover, the steel and the aluminum react with each other and create electrolosis - which creates a white powdery corrosion as it eats away the aluminum and seizes the steel shank of the bolt. To prevent this reaction, a fella can coat the bolt with a thick coat of copper anti-seize lubricant. Hope that tip helps you guys in the future! Thanks once again for another GREAT video!
This is what I like to see. Old BETTER cars saved and actually fixed and repaired and USEABLE. Not just get it running and moving. I think your friend's getting a great deal . I respect the amount of work you guys put in. Great job!
It looked like your alternator shaft my be bent or pulley. While that particular hitch looked sketchy they would often put them on at the dealership. People look at it crazy now but the salesmans brother would give you a sweet deal on a fishing boat or camper next door. Every time I've tried to change one coil spring on a old car I'd end up doing both. It would never sit right. Car looks great. Really fun video.
really nice Wildcat....would be interested if were in market......very reasonable price......hope it goes to good home......highly optioned cruiser......enjoyed this one
A GREAT CAR YOU MADE IT TO BE ,,SWEET WILDCAT,,, LOVE IT.. GREAT WORK YOU BOTH DO...DREAM CAR BACK TO THE PAST. GREAT VIDEO!!!! GLAD YOUR ALL SAFE FROM THE STORM, BLESS YOUR NEXT DOOR FOLKS...
GREAT video....Buick design, decades old still runs smooth! ......very well thought out upgrades...this Wildcat is beautiful. Glad you are all safe after Helene and Milton....you keep restoring, I'll keep watching....your videos are the best!
I remember when I watched the first video (Or at least the first video I saw that was new at the time) when you were pulling the Porsche out of the trash or whatever it was in. I though "Well either these guys are a joke or they're gonna prove that they can GET ER DUN!!" LOL. Well you showed you guys are sure great at doing the car gig and youtube as well. I love almost ALL of your car builds recues whatever you want to call them. I am surprised that more YT folks don't do more of the cars you guys look for and do. But anyway AWESOME JOB GUYS!!!
Now if everybody would price their cars to sell like this one we'd have an excellent market for classic cars. Everybody wants to hype up prices on every car out there. That's why a lot of people especially the younger generation can't afford to get into the hobby and keep these old relics alive. And then we have resellers that are going to buy something like this only to turn around and list it for $10k. There will be somebody out there that will buy it too further driving a wedge between affordability and keep the hobby alive. What I'm I complaining about? I already have my classics that I'm holding on to. Great job on the car, and keep it up. I look forward to your next classic car rescue.
Glad you guys survived the hurricane 🌀 Absolutely 💯 love this Buick Wildcat 🏆 !! Thank you for saving it and keeping it stock . Glad everything is OK! Was worrying if something happened (just started noticing video schedules) didnt even think of the hurricane, thanks to very little coverage of it here
It’s great to see a father and son working together and creating great content for those of us that love to see these old cars come to life. That is a great looking car for 3500-4000$. I think it’s wonderful that you aren’t looking to maximize profit, but on the other hand there’s some $ to be made that will help you keep the content coming.
Michael, I've been watching your channel for years now, I absolutely love your content, and the wildcat is a beautiful car, I wish you and your family well, keep up with the great videos, love it, Lèe
I think I'd try Ospho under that car. Spray from a garden sprayer with a wand so you can get in the frame rails etc. That should leave a clean look with the rust neutralized. It's cheap and would clean it up well, as solid as it is.
As a life long Buick guy - and current owner of a very rare '70 GS Stage 1 4-speed - I loved watching the transformation you and your father performed on this Cat. Your asking price is reasonable for a turn key driver and someone is going to enjoy making memories with this for years to come. Kudos 👏 👏

One of the best shows on UA-cam. Rescuing cars and something I dream about. I try and do my part but it’s mostly old Mercedes. I have a 2002 CLK430 that I rescued from going to the junkyard and got it for $200!.
In my opinion one of the best looking revivals you've done, such a beautiful car
Thanks for keeping great American cars alive!!

Great rescue. I will pay 5 grand. What a car.
$3500 is a steal. I hope his friend rewards his labor and expertise.

I had a '72 Skylark and it's pretty amazing what a family resemblance the dashboard of those two cars have. What you are asking for that car seems more than fair. Looking forward to more from you.
It’s a stand up automobile! Fantastic job!
Phenomenal find! I would love to cruise the highways in Florida with that beauty!
With all the work, I think 3.5-4k is totally reasonable. Love your show.
Awesome Buick my friends uncle had a flame orange 67 convertible with white top and interior absolutely awesome cars 👍👍👍👍
Not a penny under 5 grand , i was even thinking 10k obo. Love you guys and this car. What a dream boat. 👍✌️
I'd buy that for 8000$ if I had the money. You are giving the buyer a great deal! Great looking car.

Hello from Kharkiv, Ukraine! 👋
I would love to spend one day back in time just watching cars drive by
I think this is my favorite restoration you guys did.
Me too, love that big Buick
I had a 1969 Electra 225 convertible, and I will tell you that those 430 powerd Buicks were quick for big cars and handled good for the large wheel base that those cars have. You guys did a great job on that old Wildcat.
I learned to drive on 69 Electra 225 convertible, that was a fast car considering the size.
Its nice to see these old cars back on the road. Instead of rotting away
You guys are Awesome. That is a 5 K car, any day, and a bargain at that price.

Oh! The High school memories 😉. Same exact car and color. Bought it from my Great Uncle in 1980 for $350. That back seat, all I'll say 😊!

Thats one of the best looking cars ive ever seen. Brilliant job 👍
Great car for a crazy good price! Love your channel guys, tell your dad how much you love him because I wish I could tell mine

Buick was the only GM division with a separate ergonomic interior design department. The reason why Buick interiors were always the most comfortable.

Wonderful job on that card man it looks awesome you can't beat the looks of that car man I love it great job guys Keep On Keepin On
I LOVE this Buick! I feel late 60s sedans are criminally overlooked and this one came out amazing.
Finally a car with a definitive end. Hope this continues onwards, regardless if its 1 or 10 videos. Just getting closure is more than enough.

Glad you guys made it through the hurricane ok. Great job on the Buick. I'd say it's worth $5,000.
Four grand seems like a deal-and-a-half on this big block survivor sled that's been gone over mechanically, made safe and sound...and shines.
My Mother loved Buicks, was like driving the living room sofa down the road
What a beautiful car, great video guys 👌👍🏴🏴

I think that was the era when Buicks got a heavier frame than the lesser GM brands. It will make a great car for someone.
