I have been crocheting on and off for 5 years now. I only found your tutorials today after searching for some ideas. If only I found you earlier. You are by far the very best I've ever seen. You are an absolute super star. Sending you much love and appreciation from 🇦🇺. Thank you ......
I think she's awesome. She has a knack for explaining things simply and clearly and she does some stitches differently than others (like the alpine stitch) and her way is much better!
I agree...she's confident, knowledgeable, easy to listen too and very transparent with mistakes or corrections. I love watching her and her mother, Gwen Interact...very funny. (I've been crocheting for 52 years...and ive learned so much I just didn't know. Super expansion of my skill and knowledge base.
I literally just ran across your UA-cam by accident. It's funny that you say I must be a new crocheter. Truth be told, I have been yarning since I was 5 years old - we won't talk about how many years that is😊. But I wanted to reach out to say that you showed me things I didn't know! We -newbies and vets- can all learn new things and share with each other. I love going back to basics and creating what looks complicated when in fact it's a beginner stitch. I love crocheting. Probably because my grandmother taught me, and she's passed. When I crochet, I feel closer to her. Anyway, didn't mean to write a novel...lol ... I just wanted you to know that your sharing of your craft benefits us ALL! So glad I found you. I'm "HOOKED"!😊
You absolutely win the award got best teacher! Here's why: I can see everything you're doing, you explain very clearly and calmly, you're encouraging, your voice is lovely to listen to, your hands are beautiful too! Thank you so much!!!
I had been taught that the Alpine stitch is done with front post double-crochets. While I loved the look, I always struggled keeping the stitches even. Making it a treble-crochet solves that. I'm so happy to learn this.
I love you!! I would LOVE yo sit and have a coffee/crochet sesh with you, I cannot comprehend anyone else's (just about anyone else anyway) explanations. Thank you so much for making easy to follow videos!!
The way you describe the shell stitch it way more concise than any other tutorial I've come across! I always come back to it when I forget how to do the stitch! Thank you!
When I retired I began learning to crochet prayer shawls and blankets for friends/family and for my church. Your videos are the best! Your calm demeanor and voice helped me to learn the information without getting confused or frustrated. Thank your for imparting your talent and expertise.
I am fairly new at crochet, I knew the basic stitches from an aunt when I was a child . I have wanted to learn the wave stitch for so long the way you explained it made it so easy for me. Thank you for teaching an old dog new tricks.
I was literally just thinking that I wanted to learn to do more stitches (I just started so I know like...2) and you show up like the hero you are lol. Thanks Toni!!!
I could watch you crochet all day! I’m new at crocheting and I am so glad I found your videos because they are so informative and easy to follow. Thank you for crocheting with us!
I love your detail & how slow you talk & show how to do it. I'm an avid crocheter, I love to watch you. Been crocheting since I was 5. Thanks all the way from Idaho.
I've been crocheting for 40yrs, but only knew the basic... Thanks to UA-cam, I have discovered so much more but I have to say, the way you describe each stitch is so easy to follow... In the afghan singlet that I'm doing now, I decided to do a single crochet to start and to finish each row, and it looks so much neater and squarer
I can't tell you how grateful I am for this post. I've had a rough go at learning crochet thanks to ADHD, and I was getting so frustrated that I almost considered putting my craft bag away. Thankfully I came here and followed along to learn three new stitches that renewed my interest in crochet. You're a wonderful instructor and I will definitely be looking through your other posts for inspo. ❤️
Toni, I love your videos and I am so glad I happened upon your channel! I have been crocheting since I was 12 (retired now) and I’m very good; but Toni, You r the Queen of crochet-I SALUTE YOU, MY SISTER! A request please-when u are giving hook sizes, would you please give them in their US letter or number size as well! Whenever u give a hook size in mm, I have to Google the US size or rummage through my hooks stash and hunt for the relevant hook! For contemporary crocheters it’s probably second nature for them to convert so u may feel that giving both sizes is unnecessary but if u could, I would greatly appreciate it! Also, Toni, I want to thank you for contemporizing my crochet life and the life of another retiree to whom I introduced ur channel!! Ty!
I just started crocheting literally yesterday lol I’ve been a knitter for years so these are super helpful. My only feedback is, you’re a fast talker just like me 😂. Since this video is targeted for beginners, I would suggest that you slow down a tad while explaining how you’re working your stitches and slowing down the visual of you working your double and single stitches. Since, some of us just started, we might have trouble deciphering the stitches. Other than that, I really LOVE your channel and these stitches! ♥️♥️♥️
Thanks to you I am nailing crochet! I can't wait to try these! Right now I'm making a blanket from the rice stitch. Maybe my next blanket will be with one of these!
Today I was scrolling through the internet to find out more on hobbies...since I like crocheting i usually don't go too far because I get bored easily...so I decided to look for new ideas in UA-cam to help get ideas and guess what...your channel was first to pop up ...am so thankful for your tutorials now crocheting is more interesting 🎉 thanks
My grand daughter asked to learn crochet, so we got supplies and I am learning to teach lol! We are excited to learn new skills! I used to do some basic crochet many years ago, and it's fun learning with my 13 year old brand daughter. Your channel is very helpful!
The Alpine stitch has been one of my favorites for a while now. I've made two large blankets and I always get amazing comments from people who see them. The downside is the amount of yarn used but I do think the look is worth it. Can't wait to try these other stitches too! Thank you!
I'm super glad I found your page. I'm a beginner looking to start crocheting. It's something I've always loved doing since I was a teenager. God help me through the journey that I want to embark on.
Excellent vid!!! the work is done slowly enough that I can follow what you are doing. The photography is clear, in frame, and perfect! The explanations and simple, and match what is going on in the vid. Thank you.
I love this tutorial and your voice is so nice and comforting and while i was panicking a little with all the illegal stitches (what i call stitches that don’t go into the top of another stich) i did figure it out eventually and while it did feel like i was breaking all the rules i had just learned the results were beautiful so hey time for new rules i guess. Im only at stitch 3 since im doing these one at a time and then taking a break cause i really want to understand each one so i can alter and use them confidently in the future and im learning so much and you are explaining it so well thank you for this tutorial it is fantastic
Amazing! Showing every step soo clearly, explaining every Stich, explaining the pattern and what it does.. I just startet crocheting and this Video was the most helpful, by far
I enjoyed learning these. Trying them with different yarn types as a beginner was helpful. I am still getting used to the softer threads but the one used here looks lovely.
Just came across your post love them all i crochet for right to life but never did any of the patterns you posted will try the wave pattern on my next blanket thanks so very much and may our Lord bless you always SHVK ❤❤😊
Your videos are brilliant. So easy to follow and such clear instructions. As a newbie crocheter, I love learning new patterns and stitches. Your videos are the best. Thanks
I really enjoy the concise and easy way you teach this tutorial. It's not too slow for those who have been crocheting basic stitches for a while but not too fast for the absolute beginner. Thank you for making this video.😃
I have done the shell and granny stitches. Never heard or seen the others. I learned the Star stitch when I was a teenager in the late 1960’s. It has been a favorite of mine since then.

I am in love with the alpine stitch I'm a beginner and have recently started a scarf which uses front and back post triple crochet and i love those stitches, I'll definitely try something with this
These are great stitches! Thank you. I’m making “Scarves for Soldiers” service project. These stitches will give me some variety. I’m going to try the Alpine stitch next!
I haven’t crocheted in years! I never got very far before anyway, and I’ve been looking for some new projects. I definitely want to try something with the shells stitch or wave stitch. They look so pretty and I bet would make good holiday gifts. Thanks so much for the very clear tutorial!
The Alpine stitch looks really soft and squishy and comfortable I'm going to give it a go if I love it as much as I think I will then I'm going to make a blanket and a couple of pillow shams
I LOVE your videos! So very clear and easy for me to understand and follow. You have such a nice way about you. I wish you WILD success. I plan to watch ALL your videos. Blessings to you!
