This video was very easy to understand. You are an excellent teacher. I appreciate the fact that you use easy to see colors so that it is clear what to do to follow it along.
I learned to crochet over 60 years ago, and this is the first time I've seen this stitch, which makes me very glad I found your video, this stitch would be great for so many things, and it is so easy. Thank You for sharing your time, and your talent with all of us.
I've crocheted on and off for 18-20 years, the amount of stitch possibilities amaze me EVERYDAY!!!! Majority of them are so intimidating, I'm scared to even try!!!! This tutorial definitely helped me as a visual learner. Still to this day, I do not understand a diagram pattern and still struggling with written! 🤣 I some how manage to always make what I see in my mind though!!!!
I fell in love with this tutorial but didn't think I could do it. I thought about it all night. In the morning, I grab a needle and some yarn and got busy. I had to rip it out about five times before getting it right. I didn't give up. I'm making a scarf in three different colors.
I’m instantly in love with this stitch!! I’ve been obsessed with scarves and cowls. It’s nice to find a close stitch for those types of projects. I get the lacy ones for spring, beginning of fall. If I’m making a scarf or cowl, I’m making it for warmth. I’m going to Michael’s TODAY!!! Again, love watching and listening to you work, truly therapeutic for me. 😉
Happy Sunday Robin. Just wanted to let you know that you are a favorite teacher of mine for your simplistic art of teaching us all these beautiful patterns. Thank you for your patience and attention of detail and making it less scary and enboldens a lot of us to open up our minds and crochet like we are Master Workers! I feel like I graduated from high school and entering into the world of Exquisite and Detailed Works of Art. God bless you and Thank You for making crocheting a truly lovable Art. 🌹 Tracy❤
I have been searching for a different stitch for a blanket ! I am going to start this using blanket yarn, I’m so excited! I will come back with a picture after I have a few rows completed for an example to anyone interested in using thicker chenille blanket yarn. I’m so excited I found you!!
I think this would make a great rug for the kitchen. I can only work in cotton or bamboo due to yarn sensitivity and I think a thick cotton would be ideal and easy to wash.
I ABSOLUTELY love this pattern! I am a newbie and have been searching for stitches and patterns that I not only like doing, but also turn out to look really nice…..and this is it! Such a great tutorial as well! Superb teacher! Thank you so much!!!
I have crocheted for over 40 years and haven’t come across this stitch before. I am enjoying your video and now I’m going to go through my yarn collection and choose the colours for my next project using this tutorial. Thanks
Thank you so much, Robin! I spend the day looking up and trying out textured stitches for my sons Christmas present. He got lots of wool and now I need to make a blanket 😂 We decided on the even moss stitch, but tomorrow I'm gonna make a little sample of this stitch and I believe, that's what I'll end up making 😊
Hi Robin, lovely stitch, will serve me well for a robust dense pillow cover. I just finished 1 double blanket and one Tv throw for my grandkids in granny squares and the other one in your pebble stitch. I don’t want to hear about any more blankets, not for a few months 😂😂 I love textures like this new stitch, or pebbles, popcorn etc. keep up the good work for us, as you very well know, we appreciate you a lot. I wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025 and sending much love and hugs 🎄🧶🧶🎄 Maria
This is lovely! Thank you for this tutorial! I'm self taught and being older with MS tremor crochet is my occupational therapy. Keeps my hands working and my mind calm.
I immediately made a practice Dish cloth and it turned out beautiful. Thanks for such a great new stitch. Crocheting since my Nana taught me at 10. 60 years of crochet therapy!
Fantastic stitch. After watching your video, I have used it to make reusable face scrubbies. I think they will work really well. Thanks for the tutorial.
Always, always surprising us, dear Robin!! My best wishes for one of my favourite Teachers whose talent makes us enjoy our crochet hours!!! 🎄🧶🎄🧶🎄🧶🦋🍀🦋🍀❤️🙋🏻♀️🇦🇷🇦🇷
I haven't seen this stitch before in my many years of crocheting. I wanted a simple textured stitch for my blanket that I plan on making for my husband's bed. I found it now! Thank you for sharing this. Is there a name for this stitch? I love it! I have so many yarns left over for many projects that I have completed in the past. He will have a blanket of many colors.
What a great stitch. It makes sort of a checked look. It would be great for a hat because the fabric is nice and thick. Thanks for the excellent video. You're always so clear and patient in your presentations.
I love this pattern and your way of teaching/Showing how to do it is perfect, Simple enough for a newbie, but not too dumbed down for experienced crocheters. I hate it when channels do that..
Absolutely beautiful! Love this stitch…definitely adding this one to my list. It would make a beautiful scarf and throw blanket. Maybe even a cardigan.
Thank you so much! I’ve decided to do a stitch sampler blanket as a stash buster in 2025 and this stitch is the first one. I’ve already started the blanket at 270 stitches wide and have the first 5 rows done!
What a beautiful and simple stitch. ❤ I am an experienced crocheted who is always looking for new skills to add to my repertoire. This fits the bill nicely. Thank you! 🙂
Thank you for making the video, so understanding. You are one fantastic person to 1 share. But two, you're absolutely fantastic in the way that you do it, and thank you so very, very much you're awesome
At first I thought "I don't think it looks that nice, looks very busy maybe it just isn't my taste, this is probably beyond my skills anyways " half way though my brain was already melted by so many different steps in the pattern and by the end it suddenly all looked so beautiful (maybe this isn't considered that complex of a pattern but I am a newbie and struggle with following patterns that have anything other than single crochet). anyways, I am going to get a brown ball of yarn to make this pattern because those little squares from the double crochet make it look like chocolate
Ha ha it does look like chocolate!!😂 Might I suggest a variegated yarn (3-4 colors in one skein) because you might not be able to see the holes. Just a heads up from an old newbie who wished someone would have let her know. @Hooked by Robin is an awesome teacher ❤
I'm very glad to come upon your talet for crocheting patterns. You are a excellent teacher and I appreciate your time in explaining the pattern at a pace it's easy to go with. Thank you I've enjoyed a couple of your patterns. ❤😊
I love this pattern! I worked up a small swatch using some leftover cotton yarn. When I showed it to my husband, he thought it would make a great foot scrubber - so that is what it became. Now I have to make more...
Thank you Robin for this lovely demonstration. You are a natural teacher making what might appear difficult, you make easy! Being a lefty, sometimes instructions are given too quickly. Your demonstration speed in explanation is perfect! Thank you once again!
This is a lovely stitch and would make a cosy scarf. I followed along with the video on a small swatch, clear instructions were easy to follow and the stitch results in a great effect. Thank you Robin! 👍
Hi first time viewer here. This caught my eye and looks very intriguing. It's also very beautiful. I hope I can learn it, but thank you for sharing. Happy to be a new subscriber and look forward to your other videos. Thank you.

It's like a puff stitch without all that annoying looping! haha. Saving this one for a future project for sure. Thank you!
Yes😅
I agree with your comment about this being an easier version of the puff stitch. And the back looks great too.
And probably won’t “pull” much.
Amen...puff stitches are cool but they push in so easy and then you don't see them. Lol
I fell in love with this tutorial but didn't think I could do it. I thought about it all night. In the morning, I grab a needle and some yarn and got busy. I had to rip it out about five times before getting it right. I didn't give up. I'm making a scarf in three different colors.
Me too. But I'm on my third day. 😢
Determined ❤
I love this for both of you❤

Thank you for using larger yarn and hook. It makes the stitches easier to see during demonstration. Beautiful stitch pattern.

What a Beautiful and Well Spoken Message, and I whole Heartedly agree with you Tracy ❤
I love patterns that start with a row of SC. It forms such a nice foundation for the pattern.
Thank you for the clear instructions with no abbreviations and terms that don’t make sense - from a dyspraxic 😊

I love this idea of a rug! (I also need to use cotton yarn) what a lovely textured stitch!
Haaaa ❤yes you read my mind and I actually just commented that thought. Kitchen or bath mat or entries to your home for guests etc.
I ABSOLUTELY love this pattern! I am a newbie and have been searching for stitches and patterns that I not only like doing, but also turn out to look really nice…..and this is it! Such a great tutorial as well! Superb teacher! Thank you so much!!!
Robin, you are marvelous at explaining crochet stitches! And btw, the yarn you select is always spot on to teach us!
I have crocheted for over 40 years and haven’t come across this stitch before. I am enjoying your video and now I’m going to go through my yarn collection and choose the colours for my next project using this tutorial. Thanks

JUST BEAUTIFULLY TAUGHT 👍🏾🫶🏾
Perfect. I need to make a blanket as a gift and this popped up as I was shopping online for yarn
I love the look of this stitch. It still amazes me how many different stitches you can create!!
Really pretty. I like how it's only a simple 2 row repeat, yet looks more complicated.
