Ever try Rislone in the oil on a car that's got some valvetrain noise and sticky rings? It's pretty good stuff. A quart in a fresh oil change might help the blowby and help clean up the valvetrain.

I can't call your Dad an old man because I'm 67 but I can wish him a happy birthday. First car I ever owned was a 1960 Ford Falcon/144/cu. in. engine. Time I got out of the Corps it was gone. Left it in Pops garage and he gave it away. All I ever did to it was put a head gasket on it. Great little car. Thanks for the memories. Great video.

Happy birthday 🎂 I'm starting to really like the old inline 6 engines that's crazy and they sound real good and seem to be the best at a Revivals after many years of sitting . you don't really see many of those having issues with running again like you do an actual old-school V8 or something especially like flatheads like morski has had in the past . Now I want to go find one and have an inline 6 car to drive cause they sure don't make them anymore but I'm sure there's tons of parts and easy fix.
Great video! The 63 Falcon would have had a 144 or 170. The 200 came out in 65. It had five freeze plugs. The earlier ones had three. You should check for oiling on the rocker arm. The hole gets clogged up in the head that feeds it. The original non-detergent oil was terrible for clogging oil passages. A coat hanger and a little gasoline will clean it out. That looked like a 62 taillight in the trunk.

Glad you had a successful day with the Falcon.I'd love to spend all the time needed to finish that.I had a 63 and the trunk was mostly gone.The back bumper was welded onto 2 fence posts,and they were welded in front of the rear tires with the spring mounts welded to them.Drove like a dream unless you hit a big bump,and then the back seat jumped. ;)I miss that car still after 30 years.

I learned to drive (many, many years ago) on a 62 Ford Falcon! It had a hand choke and that car always started during our cold New England mornings 😊👍🏻

I’m 68 and my Daddy died when I was only 10 and so your so lucky to have your daddy all these years and sadly for me I don’t remember my Dad at all anymore and I only have pictures of him with us kids.
Have fun with it and all those parts. Spray paint it, something fun like Neon Blue. Lots of people are spray painting cars now, like flat black. It will change the whole car. Double the value too.
When you do the first oil change I’d just go to Walmart and get 5 quarts of super tech 10w30 and add marvel mystery oil and run it for a while once it quits then use Rotella 15w40 conventional diesel oil that’s good for the flat tappet camshaft engine.
Love me a early Falcon! Those are 62 taillights in the trunk.
