All I can say is YEE HAWL! You are now a member of the mini truck Mafia 👍 that's a harmless snake, as it proceeds to chase you around trying to bite you 😁 congrats on getting the truck running and driving. Thanks for sharing your good times and awesome content. May God be with you all 👍✌️🇺🇲
I got a '72 Ford Courier from my Dad after he drove the tires off of it. It had an 1800CC engine and I used to commute back and forth to work for quite awhile until it finally blew a head gasket. I would imagine your '76 is at least a 2000 CC engine. The engines are a Mazda engine and I had Two Mazda B2000 trucks that had that same engine all great on gas. I don't know how many miles you have on that courier but one things for sure it has a strong running engine. Great work. Oh yeah and that snake was a gaboon viper very dangerous it bites you in the gaboon lol
You’re not only going to get in the Mini truck Mafia, you’re going to be running for office! Good job!
The "Old Man" reminds me of Grandpa Pickles from the Rugrats cartoon.
Love to see such great father and son bonding that never ends..
Welcome to the mini truck mafia❤️
Love this page! Was referred by one car garage and so glad he did❤❤❤
That is the truck my Father taught me and my sister to drive on. Same color too. After I contacted an immovable object, I fixed her up and painted it blue. Great little truck. Should have kept it.
Good battery...mighty good starter to take that big wagon up hill!
I love the old Ford Courier's, was the first vehicle I ever drove, until I almost took the roof off 😬 by almost hitting a parked army Unimog front bumper winch but it was a memorable four second first drive though haha
I couldn't help it when your dad got shocked I laughed hard I haven't laughed that hard in a long time because it looked like he was getting ready to do some kind of dance hahaha
You can't beat that little engine for durability. Had one that had the bottom of the frame rusted out so bad it flexed enough that the bed dented the back of the cab. Used it to park at the truck terminal I worked out of.
Eventually bought a wrecked second generation Courier and put the engine and trans into it and used it overloaded to the max in a move from Il. to Colorado and then back again!
When I sold it it had a head gasket leaking and all the guy did was re-torque the head and kept on driving it!
I had a 76 and I loved it
You didn't set fire to the engine, so you may have to reapply! Good video Rev!
Rev (David) I want you to know and I am speaking on behalf of all of your subscribers that you and your Father have been an absolute blessing to ALL of us. All subscribers who agree with this leave a like for proof to Rev and his Dad.
Steven, I thank you very much for your comment. We are honored that anyone would watch and especially honored that you do. May GOD Bless!
You ask momma what she thinks and you know she is gonna be brutally honest!😂
those were good little trucks a bit of TLC you would have a going to town rig, I had one back in the day and loved it wish I still had it, just love you all and the videos keep them coming and may you be blessed in all you do.
Great video as usual. I love seeing you and the Ole Man wrenching on these old cars. Nice to see them get another shot at life
Y'all have me hooked. I wait for your videos each Sunday. God bless you both!
Oh my goodness, you're invoking the Mini Truck Mafia and the Pott County Legend that early in the video? All I can say is, HOT DARN, IT'S ANOTHER GOOD 'UN!!
Rev that was a black racer snake and non venomous. Always love watching you and the old man videos.I ask you to keep me in your prayers and my wife,as I'm recovering from a heart procedure and she is trying to recover from a concussion due to being hit by a drunk driver in January. Keep up the great funny content.
It raced right at me and it made me jump... I wasn't expected that at all... Praying for both of your recoveries..
@@RevStoration I was going to say it looked like a racer, in Mich we have the blue racer and one time we chased one into a brush pile and was stomping around trying to flush it and we turned around and the 5ft blue racer was behind us .. playful just like the cartoons. It was saying hello, Rubbin' is Racin'.
@@mikeobrien3744 yeah, in our area we just had field mice, which weren't too bad, but it was the chipmunks that were quite ravenous .. another cartoonish character that will tunnel chew and and mischievous mayhem. cute tho
@@mikeobrien3744 We also had the whippoorwill in our area, aw the beautiful sound of the whippoorwill call as you sit by the campfire ... until it hasn't shut up for four hours straight. You want to strangle the cute l'il bugger.
Rev, It's always a joy to watch y'all....Two Trucks.... Puddin and Lem...(short for lemon since it's yellow)✌
Great video. I'm glad you posted. Keep them coming, thanks
I love what you do with old old vehicles
Those were very dependable engines but had head gasket issues. A local sign shop had a slightly older one when i was a kid. They parked it on a hill one night and it rolled down the hill into a grocery store parking lot ! Lol
Yup, every one of 'em will blow a head gasket over time. The maintenance schedule had you retorquing the head bolts every 6000 miles with the valve adjustment if I recall correctly and no one ever did. In 83 I think they even had a head gasket service bulletin saying the head gasket design was changed to a graphite instead of a fiber or vice versa due to issues. I'm currently working on an 82 and owned an 80 in the past. Quite a few that have been sitting after a head gasket failure will have water damage in the cylinder, it just eats where it collects. Perfect 72 1.8 ruined with a 1/8 deep pit in #3 bore
First time watching the channel, love it, just subscribed, keep up the good work 👍🇺🇸🤘🔥🔥🔥
Nice work rev, getting it running again you and your dad did a great job on it….
Yes, I had one of those for the carriers. I drove the wheels off for that thing. Then gave it to my son and he drove him off. A little further what a great truck it was.
I had a 73 Courier the same color back in the mid-70s.
I was a good little trick, got good MPGs.
My wife and I drove it from St.Louis to phoenix and back with no issues at all;
I kinda widh I stall had it,
David, When you're ready to fire something up remember C.R.A.P. It stands for Cap, Rotor,And,Pray !
It took 2 of the best designed trucks ever made to move the sweet vessel our of the way!
Rev. Said that Joker stop breathing for half a sec 😂
This is James I enjoy watching you all you have a good family I hope God blesses you all
My dad had a 1600B Mazda and it was awesome. The rust got it but the engine was still going strong.
I am in New Zealand
Oh rev. Pudding changed the carb on one of his trucks to a different one because he said that was an issue with them trucks. Oh the half haul . Check it out if it's worth saving. God bless bub.
Rev, puddin only gets one vote. The rest of us voted you in. Welcome to the mafia, you are now a friend of ours.
Yall made the first electric Edsel when yall were moving it around. Great show and God bless.
I'd like to see one of those with a 302 or even 351 dropped in it. I went to school with a kid that had a Chevy Luv with a built 350 in it. It was an awesome little truck. Anyway, I love all your videos Rev! God bless!!
Nice little truck, I noticed the hood is henges on the front, like a Chevy Vega.
I hate to laugh because I been shocked so many times by race cars old truck cars ac units water heaters ect but 😂😂😂old man crack me up love watching y'all keep the videos coming..
Another awesome video! You guys are great! I seen the Ole man doing the hot coil boogie lol!!
You and your old man make a great team. Yall got that old courier to run after all.
Father. That's his father. I like to show other who are older than myself respect and speak about them and to them with a lot of respect and dignity accorded to them.
Ol Mello Yellow runs good!! Great video y'all, Thank You and God Bless y'all!!
Puddin would be proud to have you join so would Sir Morticus good job Rev God bless you all
HAPPY Sunday REV and family
Woooo hoopoo!! She's sweet. That engine sounds real healthy too. I was just thinking, imagine if ye and puddin issued challenges to each other like wwe style, sweating, america flag cloak, shouting like hulk hogan kinda thing would be totally hilarious. I can even see puddin screaming back at yall 😆 would be good too for both channels popularity . Just a thought guys.
My dad was from Butts County he grew up in Jackson where I still have family today. When I'm in town one of my first stops is Fresh Air Barbecue there is no other Brunswick stew like theirs
You finally heard me didn’t you about losing fire when not cranking the engine 😂
Ida needed a change of britches after that snake!!😬
We gotta sand the points. It's almost like listening to my dad back when I was a teen. He also had a courier. When I moved, he offered me a vehicle. I asked for the courier. Dad said he wouldn't do that to me. I got a 1969 F250 4x4.
God bless Rev, Old Man, Mama, NikkiT, and the kids! ✝💖
god bless rev mate mumma and the ol man love it
Amen! Brother David!
Gospel Above All!
Good Lord what a Mazda?
Lord, I laughed at the old man till I cried I don’t know if that’s it but in 1976 I drove a truck just like that for the parts department for handshaker Ford on Tara Boulevard and I promise you that looks like the very truck
Those old Couriers were made in Japan by Mazda. But some years (later I think) had Ford Pinto motors, with Japanese carbs and alternators!
By the time the pinto motors came around the trucks were built by Ford. Eventually Ford was building trucks for Mazda.
@@erikj.2066 The one I saw preceded the Ranger/Mazda truck. I believe it was about a 1978 model. It had the same body as this, with a Pinto engine, and Japanese carb & alternator.
you got the little truck to run good. It might need wheel cylinders who knows?
Great video David and ole man
Well done
😂these utes are getting harder to find hope u gave it a clean up
That was my first truck. I had a 1978 . Then I had a Rancho. My favorite truck
Love it,,I really didn't pour that gas out on the ground, seriously I didn't lol lol lol
Good job rev and old man
Congratulations Reverend David. I Sent a Easter gift. That Ford might make a good flip. And or a farm truck. That was a Rat snake. They move fast. Thank you for sharing. God Bless!
Most manual transmissions don't have a synchronized reverse gear. That's why it's grinding when you're trying to put it in reverse while rolling.
Fun it was thanks Lee
I see y'all got that bad boy Chevy in the background
Excellent video Rev :) , Old Man Eugene :) , mommy bear 🐻 and yes better get those Yellow and White Ford Courier to see make in one vechile too out 2 them on parts ! you and old man do good work together if you guys cant get it run then it not to run like your videos to 👍♥️
love the content, the lack of cussing is refreshing, always up vote, i'm looking for a full size ford to drop an engine, know of any?
Love Your Videos Rev, needs Thicker Oil, Probably a 20w50 wouldn't hurt. And Oil pressure sending unit and the oil light should stay out. She Run Like A Scalded Dog Though i tell you what and A Smooth Idle At That. I Look Forward To Seeing Your Videos Every Sunday.
Could of used the old school one I sent that looked like a spark.plug with metal alligator clip on the side. But I'm guessing bad coil??
I ENJOY WATCHING YOUR VDEOS. WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR MECHANIAL TRANGING?
I had an 81 Courier and the an 83 Mazda B2000. All those engines were made by Mazda and woefully underpowered. When my 81 needed a new clutch slave cylinder I had to order it through a Mazda dealer in Buzzards Bay Mass. The B2000 had the exact same engine.
Not necessarily under powered. Change out the carburator and yi would see a big difference in performance. I've read that people who had the 521 series Datsun/Nissan truckscand older ones changed the carburator and it made a big difference in performance.
Coach whip snake not poisonous but they will chase you lol. I think it just needs a ballast resistor not a ignition switch.
We jumped the resistor and still wouldn't work.. no power while in on position
@RevStoration take fuse box off check for corrosion. Friend had a c10 can't remember year where it separates at firewall it looked like snow coming out of it
Keep everything you doing everything a1 in my book
Remember buddy Rev rust is not a crime.
The camper equipped truck looks like an excellent mother-in-law and wife grocery wagon!
