Excellent Thomas! I remember this night at Dylan’s Cafe vividly. Attended both shows and taped them both from the board with rick’s permission. Hung with him between sets. One of the few times he wasn’t partying too much, wish he had kept that up.
I loved Robbies work until I dug deeper into the Band. That led me to Levon and Rick (who's a constant inspiration to my practice), Richard, Garth and Robbie. Never bought or supported Robbies solo work since.
You should deep dig into the making of the WHFS documentary...same identical scenario & vibes!!! ...Censorship, plagiarism, greed..."Life is a carnival" not just an opportunity to mis-represent for profit??!!
