Trying to decide between this and a camry v6 LE from the same year. Honestly more interested in handling then I am speed so the Scion might be my choice
Two facts about Scion TC: 1.) They are the most reliable car company in the US (Consumer Reports) 2.) The Scion TC is the number one car pulled over by local law enforcement in the US.
⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ it’s slow cant put the power to the wheels bro that’s why, don’t get a slow car if you already got one even the tC can beat that and it’s sad asf.
@dougdangger Scion's 'Pure Pricing' means that a manual tC can set you back as much as 21k after taxes depending where you live. With a bit of haggling, a person can likely get an Si for a tick over 22k. (MSRP is a little over 22k not, 23) While it may not be dead on, it has climbed pretty close to the Si price range. Do the research and you'll know this to be true.
I own a Silver 011 Tc man this car is worth it the money...when used in manual it flys so light...i beat my uncle celica gts with mods by a fender...oh yeah this car is roomy every1 who gets in is suprised in front and back seats
Lot better than civic si with the price included. civic si costs about 23,000 201 HP & 170 torque. TC 19,000 180 HP and 173 torque! DaMN@!! the interior is better so is the exterior! Very good car! :) BTW, The wheels are SIKK!
4000 more for an Si compared to the tc for only 20 more hp. just putting in a performance exhaust system (and tuning your engine) could potentially cut that advantage in half at least. all it would cost is a few hundred bucks and some elbow grease.
@SilentHill201 Agreed. Don't get me wrong. I like both brands and the regular civic is great car for it's class. People have to leverage the Si version to be better than the tC and in some cases yes, but at a $3k-4k price premium. This doesn't mean one or the other is a crap car. Both are great cars but like you said, the tC offers a great alternative and choice is great for the consumers.
@kenr79 its a car for teens. Si is a car for a bit older like low to mid 20s. also TC is probably more appealing to mod than Si cuz of the bigger engine (2.4 liters vs 2.0)
Check your anger bro. I don't even own an Si, nor do I care if you get a MS3. I was just agreeing with the original commenter who mentioned that the tC has gotten more expensive over the years. If it makes you feel any better, the cost of a tC is coming awfully close to the price of an MS3 as well.
Wow, quite a difference from the 1st generation! As fast as the original TC was, the new TC is that much faster. This is an amazing car! I like that gray color, really sharp looking. I bet this car out sells the outdated Civic Si(ssy), and the old looking Ford mustang gt. I know the TC will out handle both of those cars on the road course. This car is set up for the racetrack right from the factory. That 2.5 liter engine is loaded with torque, and feels like a large V6. Yes, a great sportcar
George McKean I'm sure glad you think this slow pile is such a great car. I own one of these and could easily get spanked by the Si or Mustang, and the 2.5L feels like just what it is, a 4 cylinder. It's faster and better handling than a lot of cars but slower than most.
@immortal4942 Agree totally. The older models profile was the best looking car out there. Had to go all the way back to the original Ford Probe to get something that looked as good.
@SilentHill201 why arent you looking at the civics 22% increase in tq?! the scion tc is a bargin car, not a "drivers" car. it competes with kia forte koups, and regular civics.tcs are no where near the civic si's level.
Man, they stopped putting engine cover in these. If your not going to put one in, at least make the wires and pipes colored or add a sign showing it's a 2.5l i4 OR just make the engine compartment more neat, cause it's a mess under the hood.
Even the inside dashboard has a Boxy feel2it.Looks like a car from the 80s or 90s. I'll give U an example of a car that looks curvy inside&outside. All the Kia&Hyundai models look like that inside&outside. But my particular favorite has2b the 2012 Elantra. It is so curvy outside&also the inside dashboard of the car.Its not even a sports car but an Economic small car for a couple or small family..LOL :)
This 2nd Generation TC is quite a performance car. The only thing that comes close is the Civic Si(ssy), but with the Si(ssy) you have to buy premium fuel. With at extra cost you don't get extra performance. The TC has 180 horse with more torque than the Civic Si(ssy). Don't buy an automatic TC, because if you do, it will run about like a Civic Si(ssy). If you like high performance, buy the manual.
I disagree man..lol.Everything looks better in the newer style:) Only thing I would like on this newer style is to have less boxy looks & alittle more curvy style like the old one:)
Is this a punk car? cause I find the lines on it to be very appealing. Im a 43 yo married dad of 2 and am thinking of buying this car for myself as my commute car - wife has a big Luxury SUV. I wonder if I drive the 4 cylinder hard and with the windows open all the time if I will still get upper 20s in the MPG. I found the head room in the back is better than most cars in this class.. especially with the reclining back seat options. Anybody getting under 23mpg avg in the 2011? Thanks.
@@tiffany9751 wow. response 9 years ago! Thanks. What year you own? I like the model where the front seat reclines all the way back, but they stopped making that.
I own a 2011 the only thing I don't like about it is that it only has one backup light 😂 the dealership said it came stock that way and it when I got it just a week ago lol it has 120 thousand on it but it's like new it runs so good
Wait wait wait, you think the Elantra has a better style than the new tC.. You think the tC looks like a 80's,90's car but not the Elantra..I would take any advice from you about cars with a grain of salt lol
When he was standing next to the orginal model, I was like, "Damn, that car is nice." and then the new one came up and it was cool, but it just was more boring.
Dont get me wrong I dont like the old model. Its like an egg shape with the middle so big.So the old model does look girly. When I say I like a Curvy car. What I mean is I dont want the car2look like an egg shape with the middle big.I like Curves in all areas of the car2make it look more aggressive&manly.Thats what I mean. But the new Model could have had more aggressive curves on it&it does look alittle2boxy in shape.Looks like an80s or 90s looking car.
8 speakers with 300 watts? lol my civic si (08) has 7 speakers with 350 watts, the rear 1/4 window doesnt look good, niether do the taillights, however the hatch is good. it looks better than the older 1 in the front but the rear on the other 1 looks better either way i wont be seeing the rear as i pass them haha

Stop living in the FUCKIN past my frd..lol.The 80s & 90s looks of the Scion models look like shit for the new generation..lol. Like I said U dont know shit about looks of a vehicle..lol.
i just bought my tC just 2 days ago and I really love it. I like the sound it creates and the overall feel of driving it.
Just got a new Scion tC, I'm in love. Manual transmission and all that.
only complaint is road noise on the highway and could use a little more head room
Trying to decide between this and a camry v6 LE from the same year. Honestly more interested in handling then I am speed so the Scion might be my choice
What happend to the acceleration, braking test and slalom test?! Lol

I traded this car for a scion frs manual but i want save up enough money to buy this car again.
The frs was a bad buy man.

This car looks perfect. Gonna have to take one of these for a test drive this weekend to see if it's as awesome as it looks.
how was the test drive 10 years ago?
Sounds like hank hill when he says scion tc

What happened to the 0-60 test and the slalom course they used to do with cars ?
I just got one and it handles like a BMW, runs like a beast and overall looks better then all that rice shit...
Toyota makes it
@kenr79 everything is great about this car...and hopefully i'll be able to get the zeus tc...now that one is truly a gift from the gods
The front end of this Scion TC looks just like a Lexus CT...
@k00lball3r that extra wattage is from a subwoofer. you will get a cleaner sound withought the sub

@Z34teen this new tc is actually sold in the middle east and south america as a toyota zelas.

you dont get out much, best looking car ever my ass.corvette, mustang, camaro, mercedes, lexus, honda, etc all entered the chat
look at that Celica replacement
I always said that too! Or at least a Paseo
The original Scion lineup was tremendous. It went downhill since because of the want of a wider customer range. At least the new tC looks fairly good.
They should have Peter Schreyer redesign the tC!!! Ultimate coup killer!

Helllo, I was wondering if you could tell me the difference between like a 2008 model and a 2011? thank you
@SilentHill201 one way the honda civic is better is fuel economy, and maybe price and maybe exterior design as well
I just realized this has the same headlights as the Lexus CT200h just without the LED running lights
@SilentHill201 the tc is bigger which i like a little cheaper has a better stereo and is actually more rare
i honestly would go for the kia forte koup instead.. i love it so much its moree of a teenage car in a way
i want this car!!!!
This car is a perfect fit for the gap made by Honda. This car is what the Integra should be today. So where is the Type-R TC?
Plagick this is supposed to be a Celica...

Much easier to work on. I don't want any of that plastic crap cluttering things up

with nothing else in the Toyota line up, this is the "successor" to the last gen. Celica.
@techdude6693 those are not the same headlights
does anyone what package you have to get to get the carbon fiber?
@soyntgo4it honda doesnt do rebates nor gives incentives for civic si models.

@tonytsui96 so your telling me with an extra woofer it still cant produce that extra 50 watts? hahah
@xxdomeafvrndiexx a tin can on wheels would be my 2001 kia sport age, not the tC.
Did anybody else notice that most this video is just showing the car driving through the same 3 or 4 sweepers?
Its a touring coupe hence the name Scion tC.
how much for scion tc 2015

@MrTurbo4G63T you must not know what an aveo looks like
the engine bay is kind of boring.
I hate toyota but this is just a honest cheap great little car
I hate these taillights!! Toyota is taking the Camry lights and putting it on this car..I miss the circle lights!
maybe it was just the color
That roof line is hideous.
My G/F has a 2008 Tc and I absolutely hate it. She's trying to trade it in on a 2012....go figure.
haters gotta hate.....
@toyota420xp my brother has an aveo and it doesnt look as good as the tc... tc is way better by a mile
Who's living in the past? You want to drive grandmas Elantra, not me. You totally convinced me...convinced me you are dumber than I thought.
@bmwmsport11 go online and buy a 2012 camry engine cover for like 20 bucks =P
im sorry to say this.... Back of Tc looks like chevy Aveo.....seriously...
