Good stuff! But then I realized this video was shot in ONE TAKE -- no editing. That's when I realized these guys are REALLY good. No fancy 32-track, autotune, computer effects laden video. Just plain old fashion ass kicking music.
To anyone complaining saying he's playing the banjo the wrong way, Jimi Hendrix played guitar the wrong way. He didn't know scales or chord progressions, he just knew what sounded good. Hell he even used a violin bow to play it once or twice. So stop bitching. The best at what they do often do it unconventionally.
Long as it sounds good, there IS no wrong way. Just play what your mind and heart and talent call for. This guy playing that 5-string with a guitar pick is actually pure genius. I am a banjo player myself and I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Spyder Webb From what I can tell, he's definitely got it tuned a key lower than what it normally would be. The truncated G string I don't see him plucking any so that string is out of the playing, so the main four strings are what he is using. The longer G string is definitely tuned to a lower key and the rest are the same. It shows this guy is a genius when it comes to tweaking it to just what he wants and needs. It also shows he has spent a lot of time tinkering and figuring out those tweaks and derivations from the normal. He is incredibly talented with that 'jo and it would be very interesting to just sit down and have him show me a thing or two. His skill level is MUCH above mine.
+MrNidogg actually this song is pretty easy to learn it is all on the b string and constantly repeats you could learn it in about a week not including hammer ons and pull offs

Lemmy was getting interviewed once and he said in response to one of the questions that Motörhead was popular in Finland due to the mutual love of Rock n Roll and getting smashed.
I know someone says this in every video ever made, but for the first time I honestly can't understand how anyone would give this group a thumbs down on any song they have out. That is talent. Perhaps you don't care for that style of music, but no one can question talent and skill, and it should be respected. The fabulous comments here - a whole evening of entertainment - especially of drunk people inspired to buy spoons and banjos. And, you know what, they are, actually, BRILLIANT! What a feel good video. Pass it on!
I am a die-hard ACDC fan, 65 years old, but gentlemen, this was FUN!!!!!
Andreas Andy, a mere 65, lol wait until you get to 72 and still love this ,stay safe brother, from the UK
@blademon7 Top man then .
@B Me seen it, awesome 🤟
Me too (62), saw ACDC back in '79,Hammersmith Odeon, Bon Scott was still around. 👍
I'm only 16 and also love AC/DC, but this is an amazing cover and I like
They make a classic sound like an original. Music needs this type of real talent.brilliant.
Regards from Ireland
I can’t imagine Brian Johnson ever saying, “And this is the part where the Accordion comes in”, but it’s brilliant! 🤘🏻😁👍🏻
Needs more anvil.
Why isnt this comment higher?!
That's what I really love the anvil.
Seems the joke is lost on most people.
Good one!
for those who dont get this joke, i'll say one word...... COWBELL!
Props to the banjo player keeping that lic up the whole time
Kinda looks like he has his right suspender clipped to his nip to keep his edge.

You can see the concentration on his face.
Kick n Ass🔥🔥
To borrow a comment from another video: "An accordion player is never early nor is he late. He arrives exactly when he is meant to." Even if it's on a riding mower. (Didn't know until today that these guys were from Finland and that makes this even more amazing to me.) 💗
Hahah
Lemmy was getting interviewed once and he said in response to one of the questions that Motörhead was popular in Finland due to the mutual love of Rock n Roll and getting smashed.
These guys are amazing. Reminds me of my Grandpa and his friends. He was in a few bands. The spoons....all of it. I smiled the whole time.
If that doesn't bring a smile to your face I don't know what would. Awesome guys!
Can you imagine if they came out as a surprise opening act at the Grammy awards. The look on the audiences faces would hilarious.
There would be cries of racism and the gaslighted public would be aghast. Interesting thought though!
@@steveoh9285 sadge it was such a good idea
Especially with the riding mower.
@@steveoh9285 That particular reaction seems unlikely.
Too bad the Grammys hates good music.
I know someone says this in every video ever made, but for the first time I honestly can't understand how anyone would give this group a thumbs down on any song they have out. That is talent. Perhaps you don't care for that style of music, but no one can question talent and skill, and it should be respected. That's like a vegan going to a steak house and giving it a bad review because they had meat on the menu.
A vegan pulling shit like that needs their face caved in.
I kin hardly believe I never heard a these guys b4. THEY ROCK and WITH AN ACCORDION TOO.
I grew up with accordion music and most of it SUCKED. These cats got talent.
It's those dislike bots man, i tell ya.
the vegan thing is pretty common, people are stupid and petty my man, its better just accepting it
Tone deafness.
They actually interpreted the song to fit their sound. I was taught as a musician to make it your own. They definitely made it their own. Refreshing.
When the moon shine hits just right
Hell ya
Ye
Nice comment brother😂👌
Drinking moonshine rn 😂😂
Darn tootin rootin
The guy on the spoons is killing it, love it!
id love to put turdeaus head on that anvil just when he strikes one and two
Dude you like him? You Really, really, really need to checkout the spoon lady
That's some fine-ass high quality anvil they got there. Just listen how it rings.
And likely over a 100 years old
Suomi perkele
Soy de Colombia y amé está interpretación, muy buen trabajo 🔥
Thunderstruck" is one of those songs that many young Japanese can't contain their excitement about.
How wonderful it would be to see a live performance!
I have seen the band and song live about a year ago in Finland.
Indeed🦬🪶🦬
It's totally worth a hitchhiker or two going missing for these guys to produce more music!

You don’t go missing you just join the band
This may be the greatest thing...ever. Seriously. You guys are beyond talented. Amazing. I love it.
Playing the anvil with a rusty double open end wrench…I love these guys!
That guy on the banjo is absolutely insane!
When a dude with an accordion rolls up on a lawnmower, you know shit is about to get real!
Damn right👍👍
🤣😂🤣
You ain't lyin
Totally serious stuff 'bout to come down ❤👀
especialy when he has a hat with what looks like a giant fur penis
These guys are Awesome, I bet they throw some kicking parties!
I'm sorry I disliked you, but you were at 70 likes. I had to make it perfect.
Gavin White lol
Paul Ricalde moonshine and shit!!!
I think you mean "hootenanny"
Hopefully they are all corny !!! I`ll take a Jug:)
THIS IS DA BEST! Been listening to it for years & I just adore this band!!!!!!!!
Love the accordion solo at 2:36.
Seriously, love that guy on the accordion.
Imagine discovering Balkan folk music.
The addition of the accordion was genius by itself.
@@nentj yeah its definitely Balkans sound.
that anvil tho !!!!!! ding ding lol LOVE IT !!!!
They probably use an electric anvil on tour. Much more portable.
Hahahahhaha probally

Might accidentally drop it on someone's head
This is fantastic. And the first time I've ever understood the lyrics.
Same 🤣
Haha too funny. Me too!!
😅 me too, i will tell it to Brian Johnson, hehe, joke.. "Island of Mindanao Here, Philippines"
i can hear it clearly
Right
Best cover of all time, band exempt! So good, I bring this video to new people thar don't know. ITS SO GOOD!!!!!!!
Cause and effect of being in a Eurovision zone, you either get a band like ABBA or this.
wait, they appeared in Eurovision?
@@panda4247 once I believe
Eurovision rulzzzzzzz
You say that like Abba is a bad thing.
@@randygreen007 i mean... depends on who you ask
"Let's start a band"
"I have an anvil and spoons"
"Done"
and it rolls hard.
🤣🤣🤣
Don’t forget the banjo
A mower too!
Spoons are great!
Wonderful performance! I wonder if Brian and Angus saw it?
Probably, "It's a small world after all."
They old
With like 150 mill views I’m sure they did
Be a lot cooler if they did.
I love videos like this. They just show how great music is transcendent. Imagine being a producer and being approached by a band saying they want to do a an AC/DC song while playing spoons, an accordion, and an anvil. You would laugh. However, these guys do just that and kill it
