This is the most authentic, original band I’ve seen in decades.
I’m floored by their rendition of Zep’s Black Dog…
These guys are from Finland. They usually do bluegrass heavy metal covers & hard rock.they have 5cds out. The latest miracle the do a few originals. I became a huge fan bought them all....they are the real deal
I love the way these guys kick ass and still add some humor!
I don't like bluegrass much, nor am I fond of country music in general. But if you think that's what this is, then I think you might not have considered the genius of musical improvisation that runs through every member of this band. Steve N Seagulls - I believe - have invented a new genre of music. Whatever you want to call this amazing mash up of bluegrass and metal pinned down with thumping acoustic instrumentation, it is without doubt refreshingly brilliant. Somehow they have taken the mundane bluegrass-Americana style (to my mind), blended it with 1980s hard rock - which is not to everyone's taste - and made it lively, accessible and fun for everyone. Simply BRILLIANT.
This is not really a "new genre". Iron Horse and Hayseed Dixie both preceeds Steve 'n' Seagulls about a decade. I recall there being a third well-known one, but can't remember the name at all.
I love Steve 'n' Seagulls, I love the music and I like what they're doing, but they weren't the first ones to bluegrass cover rock and metal. What's weird that they're Finnish and traditionally we don't ha ve music like this, so they're actually bluegrass immigrants =P
My first contact with this band was with their version of ACDC's Thunderstruck!
Meanwhile I know most of their songs, even have them seem live on stage in Munich, Germany.
I must say without any doubt: they are absolutely musicians. Handsome guys, great musicians, amazing performers, love all of their songs, but especially their version of "November Rain"

All the fellas are outstanding musicians but in particular watch the gent playing the bass fiddle,, his fingers are lightning!
Dude on Bango blows me away. Zakk Wyld (Ozzy guitarist \BLS) can play banjo but is he this good?.
Should be more popularized... this group is great!

Just discovered these guys at Germany Rudolstadt Festival. Phenomenal Sound and Mood there.
The drummer man is killing it
He's like Keith Moon with finesse for the smaller percussive inserted fills. Takes it to a great level especially when it is considered this is all in the acoustic/folk/bluegrass idiom.
This is an inspiring performance; loving every minute of it. Would sure love to hang with these guys for a while........

I originally saw their thunderstruck a few years ago and loved it. I sort of thought it was a novelty and dint look for more. Then today I saw November rain and sent it to some friends of mine because one guy in our friend group plays banjo. BUT then i just left UA-cam on while i was working and it rolled into this concert

Gotta say, I fucking love this version of Over the Hills and Far Away, don't understand how they are able to make it sound so good with that gear. Nice RHCP (I believe) in the middle. SNS magic, kele. Love that Italian audience !
I just discovered these guys. They really move me on a musical and funny-bone level and believe me that's a winning combo. This is an exceptionally well filmed show. Audio is solid too. Great show all around.

It is fantastic to hear a live show so well recorded from them. I remember some years ago they were uncredible musicians but the live sound didn't make justice
