getting ready for my FW and could not find any information like this on sublux post stroke. This video and the previous have been very helpful and I feel far more confident in helping my future clients! Thanks so much!
Wow, I wish I'd had a name for this when it kicked in 20 years ago... needless to say I've been doing what not to do! This and your other rehab videos are really helpful - thank you so much.
What is the difference between shoulder subluxation and frozen shoulder in symptoms ? There is pain in both , that is why I ask the question. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us 😄
Great question! There is definitely pain in both but the underlying causes are different. Subluxation is a partial dislocation of the top of the arm bone (humerus) and frozen shoulder is when the shoulder capsule thickens or becomes inflamed leading to tightness and stiffness. If you're unsure which you have, I recommend getting assessed by a doctor or therapist!
So if you get some kind of contraction even with a resistance band would that help I'm able to hold a band with 3 fingers to get resistance and I usemy unaffected arm to help do pulling exercises to get any kind of a contraction I hope this makes sense I would love your feedback thanks this is what I can do so this is the only way I can work on my arm strength tY but it's giving me lots of tone on my arm though not sure if that's really bad though? I love your content BTW it's helping me tremendously
I just started watching the channel. I am finding it very useful. I am looking for my 10 year old son who had brain injury 3 years back. He is not much interested in doing exercises. Do you suggest any other way to get him involve and do exercise like swimming.. he is into swimming actually ..
So I can't bend my arm back (like how you were doing in the second exercise). It feels like my shoulder is stuck if I try to push it with my unaffected arm. I hope it's just shoulder subluxation and not anything more serious 🤔😞
Is shoulder subluxation always painful? I had a stroke almost 7 years ago and my arm never fully recovered. But I got a little movement. Now when I make certain movements I can hear a clicking sound in my shoulder. But there is absolutely no pain. Now I'm wondering if it's a subluxation.
My mother got paralyzed it been 10 months but her hand have no movement shoulder sublux what should we do to improve her Health she can walk but not properly she lost her speech too she speak some words like give me food and have to toilet she can't talk like before what happened to her we don't understand 😭
Thanks!
Thank you so much❤️

Doctor says subluxation recovery not possible due to lossen ligament, please share your experiences in this?

I have the same problem. I am going to a sports medicine doctor next week.
