El siguiente paso es hacer 2 sensores y no 4 en el celular, uno con muchos megapixeles para fotos y otro con la menor cantidad posible, 12mp para videos.
luego haga ópticas intercambiables opcionales para diferentes resultados más exóticos (macro, teleobjetivo, filtros, etc.) que el estándar que se venden por separado
Con eso, sería posible aumentar el espacio disponible para sensores más grandes y dejar de gastar recursos en tantas microlentes con resultados limitados.

Downfall of xaomi
The next step is to make 2 sensors and not 4 on the cell phone, one with many megapixels for photos and another with as little as possible, 12mp for videos.
then make optional interchangeable optics for different more exotic results (macro, telephoto, filters, etc) than the standard that are sold separately
With that, it would be possible to increase the space available for larger sensors and stop spending resources on so many microlenses with limited results.
That 1 inch imx989 is the biggest for smartphones right now, I don't think we will be able to see any bigger or full frame sensor on a mobile phone due to space and lens constrains

Sadly, all these phones with high-resolution cameras are pure garbage. The 64MP and 48MP cameras are pixel shifted, they look horrible, you're better off with the default 12MP (2600 x 4624) resolution, which all these cameras come with. It's misleading marketing for people to think they're buying a decent phone with decent camera image quality, they should have at least gone for a 24MP camera instead of this MEGA-FAKE bogus 64Mp/48MP resolution.
