I'm a Google Pixel user in the US, and VERY interested in the Huawei. Can you still access web-based Gmail, Google search? I'm assuming RCS messaging isn't supported as well?? I might be able to live without the app store and Google pay as I rarely use them anyway.

I always am amazed by the incredible photography prowess of the Huawei p60 pro, only if they were unbanned by the American government, they would have completely dominated Samsung and other Android flagship brands..... They had more potential than even Samsung to go toe toe with Apple themselves

They managed to have very good optimization in the new MIUI 14, I'm impressed.
1080P needs less processing power and it has less frames to process. If you change the resolution of other 3 devices to 1080P you'll be amazed by the results.
I always agree with your cons, especially this one where you focused on night images and video. You are among the few who don't let themselves be corrupted by famous brands, we understand who I'm talking about. If Huawei didn't have the ban it would already be mine. Do you think the Xiaomi 13 Pro comes close at least with the main sensor to the older brother?

What settings on the phones was used??
Always better to have superior raw details and allowing you to tone down in post, rather than having poor raw details and trying to make up for it artificially in post (which often results in weird artifacting).
And also about other features like processor, audio, display, battery

I come to defend p60 pro in two things in portrait mode it was better to use aperture mode, since it comes out natural and not so artificial, and in the zoom on the moon it does not seem to be huawei, it seems that I do not focus and also the AI is not activated of the moon, and one more thing that the p60 pro has is the double exposure mode, it is used for the moon, so to zoom in x3.5 or x10 or more to the moon and to see a building or a landscape, whatever will be possible see the detailed moon with the background without burning the photo is the only one to date that can do it
When it's NIGHT TIME, it's Huawei time. It overpowers other phone cameras. They really mastered its night photography. I have P60 Pro and I am always in disbelief everytime I take photos especially in night time. Incredible. If only they were unbanned, it could have been the top phone of the world for sure.

Sorry bro but in p60 pro the default settings of night mode could be higher iso or less shutter speed than others. And this can be done by any other device here in manual mode. And i don't think so anyone will like that much bright photo in night where night doesn't feel like night. I am particularly talking about that statue photo
Got your point. But majority of users don't use manual mode on smartphone anymore. Because auto mode software on every brands are doing great and better every year.

I'm a fan of the Huawei's night shot sharpness but not the reproduced colors and I'm a fan of the color tones produced by Xiaomi with not too exaggerated sharpness.
Excellent photos from Samsung and Apple but... but... but... too much noise... thank you for the cropping...
For night videos my preference is for "more natural" Apple but Huawei impressed me with the sharpness reproduced but with still too much "artificial" colors for my taste... Xiaomi defends itself very well and offers good colorimetry with relative sharpness. Samsung, which has too much sharpness in its photos, lacks in its videos...although the quality is not bad at all
For the night zooms too much grain in the intermediate zooms of the Samsung which takes over after x50 up to x100. Huawei is also impressively sharp to x100 but with a strange white balance. Apple? where is Apple? Xiaomi is very good up to x30 before it runs out of steam a little... Regards
Yea my s23 ultra hdr 10 plus and UHD 60 makes a difference but for night time I am looking for Huawei in the US
I was amazed with Huawei p20 pro back in years and it's not surprising to see Huawei being best at camera till now.
The best part is that Even the Older models, for example p50 Pro beat the shit out of the Latest iPhone/Samsung

something has to be considered seriously and to be known is the time every smartphone takes a photo .
Then we would be sure for the hardware capabilities .
e.g. i don't care if huawei takes better photos at the double time .... this is something has to be mentioned because most of the times the photos will be taken on hand not at a tripod
So if the time parameter is almost the same your video is really showing the real capabilities of every phone.
Finally at the moon photo i believe all the phones should spot meter at the moon , then we could see how huawei and iphone does at this kind of photo

Hii, i got p60 and moon look better than on video, because Huawei give you two choises, Real photo or you can turn on AI for recognition object. Trust me software working more better after it.

One of the downside of most chinese phones are in Audio section, Video audio recording in my main issue with their product.
In every phone, the cameras without software are trash I am using both devices samsung s23 ultra and I used iphone 13 Pro max before so, in my experience when apple fans (not all) when they are seeing any improvement in any android flagship like zoom or more details in cameras or performance in long time playing games in phones (more 3 or 4 hours) they will say it is trash because, it is in android phones but, if it is reverse they will say it is an amazing thing in iphone phone . By the way software is important for cameras always that's the important point ❤

I have compared a ton of Xiaomi and Samsung photos. Even though, samsung cameras are powerful, I really dislike the "digital" and sharpened look of their images. Xiaomi's output are more natural and sometimes close to a professional camera. I don't care about super zoom shots like 8x and above if the photo is not of quality.
Xiaomi need to upgrade their lens with Zeiss Optical instead of "Leica color fine tune" only.

All these companies try and shove hardware, hardware, hardware to imaging. Only google accepts lower end hardware and makes up for it with software. This helps keep the costs down whereas all these other flagships get more and more expensive because they keep shoving hardware as the solution.
I think its important to keep the Pixel 7 pro in these comparisons because that way we can see what focussing on software does whilst keeping the cost down

and the P60 Pro is not even the flagship phone from Huawei. That currently is the P60 ART, but late in the year the Mate 60 will be the best camera phone. (the ART has better wide angel sensor , and the camera software is better that the p60 Pro. video from all sensors is 4k 60 )
