I total agree what a solo from a master of the guitar he could do more whith 10 notes than most guitar players could do whith 100 notes he feel for the guitar was unbelievable brilliant guitar player
Imho, David Gilmour is the best guitarist that ever walked on Earth, the only way I can describe this solo is like... the pure sound of sorrow, sadness, but soothing, like... "giving up to the pain" I don't know (and probably I'll never do) is how David can make his guitar wail, cry, scream, laugh and so much more, this guy is a genious, maybe I'm too biased, because this is my favorite band, thank you tons for this reaction!
Greatest solo ever recorded. I will die on that hill. The fact that it's coming from David Gilmour, who radiates the strongest grandpa energy you've ever felt, makes it even better for some reason.
I always love watching vocalists react to Pink Floyd. David has a very smooth and soothing voice for sure, but the way he sings is through his guitar. And I feel like vocalists somehow hear and appreciate that.
I don't think that David Gilmour was even aware that he was holding an instrument anymore, you can only play like this if it's as natural to you as breathing. It almost seems as if he was in a trance and was letting his soul pour out via his guitar. The technical mastery, the flow and the emotion are all on another level. I don't know if this is the best guitar solo there will ever be but in my opinion it's the best one to date.
I put it on par with Gary Moore empty rooms live at Stockholm 87, maybe I like Gary's one a bit more. David Gilmour and Gary Moore are the best emotional guitarists ever imho.
Example of Gary Moore, we can not compare him with Gilmour. Gilmour invented his guitar playing, master of drag on the neck of the bottle. It's an outlier.
this song makes me cry every time cus pink Floyd was 1 of my dads favorite bands. and in the end of his fight, the cancer meds simply made him "comfortably numb" 😭
This whole Pulse concert is incredible. I suggest checking out the song 'Sorrow' from Pulse. I was fortunate to see the singer/guitarist, David Gilmour, in concert as a solo artist in 2016. He was 70 years old at the time and still sounded amazing! Another great live performance to react to is Pink Floyd's song 'On the Turning Away' from the tour previous tour to Pulse, called 'The Delicate Sound of Thunder' (1988).
I used to have the VHS tape of the "Delicate Sound of Thunder" tour, and pretty much wore it out from watching so much. David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason make up the perfect band for me.
There was no pulse tour or a delicate sound of thunder tour , they were commercial recordings of two tours . A momentry lapse of reason tour and division bell tour ( final two Pink Floyd albums post Roger waters )
Thank you so much for allowing the entire solo play without interruption! Absolutely, the most epic solo in the history of modern music! David Gilmour will be remembered forever for making all who listen feel emotional every time they hear him play.
The genius of the guitar solo is NOT ONLY in its technicality.. but in its artistic expression... it COMPLETELY replaces the vocals/lyrics in order to communicate the struggle in this "comfortably numb" state with screams of anxiety and despair along with some glimmers of hope and clamoring for survival.... No Words just pure feelings...and that's why it is considered to by many the greatest solo ever
David Gilmour is a legend. This one of the greatest guitar solo ever, I get chills every time. Other songs you can check out are "Time", "Shine on you crazy diamond", "Wish you were here" and "Another brick in the wall" (coincidentally Korn did a cover of it which you could check out also)
that solo is a masterpiece i never tire of hearing because it speaks to the soul with something more than words can ever express giving a different meaning to each and every person that hears it As for a song choice i recommend their live performance of the song called "sorrow " from the same concert i believe
Greatest "Band" solo every. Every instrument had it place, the drums taking the lead as the guitar dwarfed for several counts, a few times, the bass carrying the load from underneath, and the intermittent keys showing up to assist the guitar, meshed with the visuals, created a gloriousness not seen very often in our lives.
New subscriber!! I love how you reacted to this epic song; this concert from ‘94 was part of the “ Division Bell” tour, released as ” Pulse”. Thanks for not interrupting the greatest solo of all time.
Thank you for observing the proper Pink Floyd protocol. Namely, NEVER interrupt one of David Gilmore's guitar solos. You have just experienced what is arguably the greatest guitar solo of all time.

As a female singer you will love "The Great Gig in the Sky". The backing singers get to show their quality in three solo's that will blow your socks off. The original album version is the definitive version but the live one from this show was very cool too and as you said, you like live :) .
Yes, The Great Gig in the Sky! But the original studio version. The live version in this show is good, but pale by comparison to the original who had been recorded in only 3 takes by Clare Torry without much direction from the band. PS: The first show I saw in my life was Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon back in 1973... Yes, I'm that old! And the last one I saw last Friday was Roger Water, the original bassist of Pink Floyd.
This is the only song that she sang with PF. They had other background singers throughout their careers. Only Clare stood out bc of "Great Gig in the Sky"
I was there that night and I still feel it in my bones today. You don't just hear their music, you feel it right down to your soul. I don't think I will ever experience anything like it ever again.
When I was 10 years old, my dad took me to the cinema to see The Wall and he fell drunk asleep after the first 10 minuttes, but I was sitting there and having my first real big expierence with music. I was blown away. So Pink Floyd will always be one of those bands that means extra much to me. They are a big part of why I started making music myself.
The background of the song is very interesting. It was written by Roger Waters, one of the founding members of Pink Floyd though he had left the band by the time this version was recorded...it was about an experience he had while touring with the band and being treated for hepatitis. He was in a lot of pain right before a show; rather than cancel, they brought in a...less than entirely ethical doctor, who pumped him up with painkillers. He then performed the show feeling his body steadily going numb, feeling like his hands were swollen up like balloons. The music captures that dreamlike quality perfectly; absolutely amazing song, so glad you shared your reaction with us!
Pink Floyd is Legendary, they are a Vibe! I've been a Pink Floyd fan since the release of their iconic "Dark Side of the Moon" album in 1973, I was 17 years old. Pink Floyd was formed in London in 1964, they have sold over 400 million albums worldwide! Pink Floyds music is trans-like, it takes the listener on a cerebral journey with every song. The Pink Floyd listener "feels" Pink Floyds' music as well as listening to it, and a big part of that is David Gilmours' vocals and his unequaled guitar style! Not to even mention the incredible light and lazar shows that go into every live performance. I've seen them live twice, on two different world tours in the late 70s and in 1980, and both times it was nothing less than astonishing! There are soooo many great Pink Floyd songs at this 1994 Pulse Concert at Earls Court in London, it would be a great way to start the Pink Floyd journey,... if you decide to go down the Pink Floyd Rabbit Hole. Lol. At this 1994 concert, only 3 people onstage are Pink Floyd band members, they're the 3 older guys,.. David Gilmour, (lead vocals, guitar), Rick Wright, (vocals, keyboards), and Nick Mason, (drums, percussion). The rest of them are touring musicians, although some of them have been with Pink Floyd for a number of years. If you DO decide to go down the Pink Floyd Rabbit hole, you're in for a phenomenal musical experience, unequaled by any other Rock band in history, imo.
This is not only the greatest guitar solo of all time but the best single piece of music performed live, ever. I know...a big statement, but you can go and listen to any recorded video of any genre of music, then listening back to this solo performed live you will know. It really is incredible how deep it touches your soul...Pink Floyd was, is and will be the best musical group in history.
@DarkF4k3 well for me there is no debate, so i respectfully disagree. Love Randy, tragic story, awesome solo; but for me it doesn't compare. And ofc that the atmosphere and the lights are important, but who did it better than Pink Floyd?
React to any song from this 1994 Pink Floyd Pulse concert----it's guaranteed to be great since this is the best live concert in rock history. Particular standouts: Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Keep Talking, Sorrow, One of These Days, Coming Back To Life, High Hopes, and Run Like Hell. And check out their masterpiece, Echoes, live at Gdansk.
No, Nick Mason is not a flashy or exciting drummer but he perfectly fits the presentation for Pink Floyds music. His drumming is spectacularly understated while at the same time becoming an integral part of the performance. He makes the drums a key part of each song. They themselves become more than merely a means to keep time. They actually accent and highlight many places during each songs performance. The PF sound would be noticeably different with someone else behind the kit. His kit is put together to handle the various needs of their catalog.
I was one of the lucky ones to be at that concert at Earls Court in October 1994 The Pulse Tour Concerts..!! I was sitting in the top balcony directly opposite the giant mirror ball which came down from the ceiling and its nearly 30years ago now but it still sends shivers down my spine every time I think, listen, remember and watch the concert back again..!! Absolutely the Greatest Concert of all Time, every single song in the concert could be made into a Movie, the lights, lasers, explosions, pyrotechnics and speacial effects are simply MIND-BLOWING..!! No band performs Concerts on the scale and theatre that Pink Floyd do..!! PERIOD 🎉
Great choice and great reaction. As a singer, you may enjoy "The Great Gig In the Sky" from the Pulse concert. No words, just vocalization. Incredible.
I have listened to many a guitar solo in my life, and loved many of them, but this live guitar solo is my all time favorite. It takes you on a soothing journey through light and sound that gives you chills. It leaves you relaxed and yet full of energy. Simply beautiful.
I was fortunate and old enough to see the boys way back in the day. Their concerts were a total experience. And the best part was being surrounded by thousands of people that felt the same way about their music. It was a sense of community. Walking out of their concerts afterwards every body was smiling and talking and laughing with complete strangers of all stripes. I really miss those times.
I saw this show in 1994 still to this day it's the best live show I've ever seen and I've seen a lot. I would pay a whole lot of money to see them one more time
@@shannongriffith2092 I saw Floyd live 3 times. I thought the learning to fly concert was the best concert I've ever seen. And I've seen dozens of different concerts so far. They not only had the most amazing steriofonic sound system I've ever heard, they had the old animals set up coming out from the stage!
This song has an emotional pull & a weight to it that affects people in a very visceral way (yours would not be the only tears)... maybe because we're all, to some degree, damaged. Pink Floyd managed to tap into this emotion, especially with "Comfortably Numb."
When the solo started i knew you were in for a treat, and believe me those same faces you were pulling are the same ones we pull even though we've listened to this song 1000's of times at this point. i look forward to going on this journey with you. The community will guide you on what you should listen to next but for me it would be Dark Side of the Moon, the whole album, in full, from start to finish. You can chop it up into separate videos if you wish but it is an album you need to listen to in one go, especially if it's your first time. Enjoy :)
For me the first time hearing David Gilmore solo during comfortably numb live is the realisation "this is a genius, I'm in the presence of a genius" it stops you in your tracks given the right emotional state this man can reduce you to tears, but it's a cleansing experience. I think I saw that realisation in your face as the solo progressed. Great chanell. 👍 💙
I had the privilege of being at this concert the night this was recorded, I can't put into words how it looked and made me feel, I didnt just see the concert I felt it and lived it.
This is my all-time favorite piece of recorded music. If I could only ever listen to one song for the rest of my life, it's this one. Every note is like an old friend.
Yes, a trance is the perfect way to describe Pink Floyd. If you want a complete trip listen to The Dark Side of the Moon album beginning to end in one sitting. And The Wall is an entirely different trip altogether.
@@jameshinton429972 James, don't forget one of their most underrated albums ever, "Obscured by Clouds", came out in 1972, a year before "Dark Side....."
Yes, their light shows were spectacular. Only because it had to match their music. I was lucky to see a performance of the wall in Dortmund, Germany in 1981. Then in Wembley, London, England in 1988, which was similar to the show here. Not much else to say. They are a band of a lifetime.
As a lifelong Floyd fan, I can tell you that you've picked THE best version possible 👌🏻 I dunno if you were told that beforehand, but you got the gold here. And their light show gets the biggest chef's kiss possible.. I could watch NSYNC if I got lights like this 🙈 .. the entire Pulse concert that version of Comfortably Numb is from is worth a watch just cuz of the lights... they get CRAZIER than they do on this particular song 🤤
When people mention purely melodic, non-shred guitar solos, this is typically at the top of the list. Gilmour is the master of devastatingly effective note selection.
I am 58 years old and these guitar solo's still make me TEAR UP, I FEEL YOU and i see that you get it.DAVID GILMORE plays the guitar like it 's extension of his soul and you can feel every riff or note. You have tapped into the essence of THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE . Now you know what my generation was GIFTED.IT'S A POWERFUL JOURNEY BUT I THINK YOUR UP TO IT, THANKS AILEEN ,BY THE WAY ,YOU GOT ME HOOKED ON YOUR SHOW because of your passion..
Buried our son to this song, he was only 26, taken by a drunk-driving incident, his friend was the driver. This was Logan's & his Mum Tina's favourite song & band of all time. RIP Logan & Tina To me, Pink Floyd is mind expandingly, beautiful music!
I'm 63 and that is the kind of music in my generation. To see this young ladies reaction is priceless. You'll not see live concerts like the due to the fact they're too old or dead. Rock is not dead, it will always live on.
"I can't feel my face" So is it... comfortably numb...? Sorry, I couldn't resist 😅 But seriously, with the death of many languages and evolution of others, I feel like the greatest language is that of music. The fact that various sounds can come together and speak to our very souls without so much as a single word uttered is the greatest thing.
Get to know the lyrics as a conversation between a doctor and a patient who is really in bad shape physically and mentally but also so far gone that he's numb. The lyrics are so expressive, so well sung, and then, AND THEN the guitar says things the words cannot, an extension of the words that's pure raw emotion but exactly in step with what the words said. This has to be one of the greatest songs ever written and performed.
Everything from the Pulse concert is great, but Sorrow is another one that’s pretty epic! Keep talking and High Hopes are right up there as well. Hey You, from The Wall album is another good one that is a bit shorter, but still has an mind bending David Gilmour solo.
I agree, David's voice often has a tinge of sadness/melancholy to it. I've been listening to Floyd for decades and "Comfortably Numb" still remains one of my favourite songs of all time. This particular performance somehow enhances it even further; I know of no other guitarist who can make his guitar sing, scream and cry the way David does. As you said, all heart and soul!
"The child has grown the dream is gone" Hits different everytime, an absolute masterpiece of music, hope all new generations get involved in this organic music and don't let the technology do all the job for them.
Two of the best concerts of my life were Pink Floyd in Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City in 1988 and 1994. I've worked as a stage hand for 15 year and none of them were anything like the tours PF did around the end of the 80's and the early 90's. Nothing like seeing this concert outside on a perfect weather evening. Was a magical moment.....
If you love drums you absolutely must react to pink floyd live in pompei actually any song(can start with "one of these days") because the drums in that film-concert are amazing( and other instruments too)
I was there. Best concert ever. You need to watch it all. Seriously you do. They had two drummers and two kits. The light show and special effects were astonishing.
One of the best ways to fully appreciate Pink Floyd's album, and "The Wall" specifically, is to listen to the album from start to finish in the original order. They provide such a mind blowing performance. Comfortable Numb has always been one of my most favorite songs, it brings goosebumps every time I listen to it.
Pink Floyd wasn't a band who cared about singles, they are best listened to by album. It is an experience that flows from one song to the next to take you on a psychedelic ride.
There is absolutely NOTHING like seeing a live Floyd show! Unfortunately I was too young to see the original band all together but I did see the Momentary Lapse of Reason and the Division Bell tours and they were hands down the best I've ever seen!!
I saw this tour live 30 years ago this May. Still to this day the greatest concert I've ever been to. High mark set at 15 years old! Like $42 to boot! It drives me nuts when this song is played on the radio and they fade out the entirety of the most epic guitar solo ever and then call themselves a rock n' roll station. If I were ever a DJ I'd quit before ever ending that solo early if on-air.
Always love to see the reactions from younger ones like yourself who didn't grow up listening to this group... Pink Floyd live performances are skillfully orchestrated. Recommend "On the Turning Away" or anything from they're "Pulse" concert tour like "Echoes" or "Sorrow". Studio versions of "Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Time, Mother, US & Them, Brain Damage/Eclipse, Wish You Were Here or Have a Cigar" are great!
Having loved Pink Floyd since I was young, I am mid 50s now.. I genuinely had pure joy watching you experience this for the first time.. Floyd are masters of emotion musically and with the use of their language, thank you for sharing your experience with us..
If you want to see the drummer, Nick Mason, at it's prime, have a look at the 1972 live at Pompeii film. Check for the song "One of these days", it's a drum-only footage so the lost drumstick didn't come unnoticed 🤫
Pink Floyd is regarded as one of the best bands of all time & certainly my favorite! Dave Gilmore on his Stratocaster makes the guitar talk, sing, cry, his playing style draws such emotion from it, no-one matches him. Check out the Live Concert version of "On the Turning Away" the song itself is brilliant, the lyrics send a message we should all take heed of & the guitar solo almost matches this one...it's genius!
If you want to see Nick go all out on his drums check out Time from the same concert 😍. Any track from Pulse is incredible but my personal faves along with this one are Sorrow, High Hopes and Keep Talking. Enjoy going down your PF rabbit hole ❤️
Pink Floyd were famous from the beginning for their lighting effects, among other things. Since they presented themselves from the beginning as proponents and creators of psychedelic rock, it was clear that lighting and strange sound effects were inherent to it. Very soon they hired Mike Leonard, who specialized in lights. At first they just projected different lights on the background behind the musicians and gradually perfected it. They made coloured slides and sprayed different colours on them during the projection (using condoms ;-). Of course, at this concert in 1994 there were already two huge production companies that specialized in light shows. They used, for example, a super-powerful process laser that cost more than $120,000 and which is used in nuclear tests and rapid photographic tests. Pink Floyd, however, started using a giant round screen as a backdrop on stage as early as 1973 during The Dark Side Of The Moon tour. At the Pulse concert in 1994 (the tour for the Division Bell album), the round screen can be folded down (like here at Comfortably Numb), which is very effective. During their concerts they also often used giant inflatable objects (airplanes, a pig, a bed...). Their concerts often ended with a pyrotechnic show (like at David Gilmour's last concerts in Pompeii in 2019, during the closing song Run Like Hell). As a big Pink Floyd fan, I can recommend almost anything from this concert (the whole thing is spectacular) but if you want a real musical treat from this band, I would recommend The Great Gig in the Sky from the album Dark Side of the Moon (1973) - original with Clare Torry, Shine On You Crazy Diamond from the Wish You Were Here album (1975) - a long and beautiful heartbreaking track (ideally a longer studio version) or Echoes from the Meddle album (maybe the 1972 recording from Pompeii). Of more recent work, High Hopes or Coming Back to Live - both from the album Division Bell (1994).
A great reaction. Needed minor face surgery once. My surgeon asked what music I preferred as he did it. I answered- Pink Floyd. It helped calm me. They are one great band and no one can touch their light show. Innovators and pure talent all. Epic song and group.😊👍
You have the same reactions that I've been having, for the past few decades, every single time I hear Comfortably Numb. I especially enjoyed watching your face light up when Nick Mason turned it up a notch on the drums. I wondered if I could possibly get anymore pleasure from hearing Gilmore, Mason, Wright and Company play this song or would it grow old. It has never disappointed and your reaction was an awesome and unexpected pleasure. TY and GB. Harley Driver.
What i enjoy the most is all you young beautiful people being introduced to the music i grew up with. Dont get me wrong, there is some good music available today but honestly, very few can touch the music of the 60's 70' and early 80's. And Pink Floyd is to me on the highest pillar. Anyone else has to step up their game. Now, as to what to check out next. Anything from Pulse concert is a Masterwork. Sorrow is Awsome. Keep Talking!! When Gilmour starts in with the talk box it send chills. The Entire Disc 2 is their masterwork Darkside of the moon, with 3 encore songs. Wish You were here, Comfortably Numb, and Run Like Hell. I saw a couple reactors Do Darkside from Pulse in increments of 2 songs at a time but in order, and they got it far better than those who did 1 songbatva time in random order. Darkside like The Wall are Concept Albums. They tell a story. The songs tend to run together and keep moving which is why its best listened to in order. Comfortably Numb though it is part of Concept is also enjoyable as a Stand Alone when done as they did here. From the studio you only ever hear it with all the voices at the beginnig which makes newcomers scratch heads and wonder whats happening. I for one prefer Pink Floyd Live over Studio every time!

The best concert ever, and I mean EVER!
I used to have the VHS tape of the "Delicate Sound of Thunder" tour, and pretty much wore it out from watching so much. David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason make up the perfect band for me.
Sorrow and High Hopes were the best imo after CN
Saw Floyd live at Cleveland stadium 1989
That's makes me old but it was quite an experience , otherworldly in fact. 💥🎶🤯🌘🐶🐷🐑🔔🟢🔴🟡🔵💲👁️🗨️
Every time I hear a live version, the solo is different, but each one is incredible
The emotion and soul he puts into that solo is utterly mind blowing. He gets more out of a few notes than some guitarists get out of 100 mph soloing.
No Words just pure feelings...and that's why it is considered to by many the greatest solo ever
well f'n stated ... so true
I don’t think there is another guitarist alive that conveys as much emotion as David does, especially in his solos.
C'est vrai, mais Jeff Beck n'est pas loin, dans la diffusion des sentiments les plus profonds.
Knopfler does
David Gilmour is a legend. This one of the greatest guitar solo ever, I get chills every time.
Other songs you can check out are "Time", "Shine on you crazy diamond", "Wish you were here" and "Another brick in the wall" (coincidentally Korn did a cover of it which you could check out also)
that solo is a masterpiece i never tire of hearing because it speaks to the soul with something more than words can ever express giving a different meaning to each and every person that hears it
As for a song choice i recommend their live performance of the song called "sorrow " from the same concert i believe
Dave you are absolutely right, the best guitar player I've seen live, bar none I'm 70 effn years old and it still brings tears.
Perfectly put
If its not the greatest solo, I csnt think of one better 🎸🎛🎶
@@cronaon317 Not saying he's better than David Gilmour, but if you have ever heard of a piece of Funkadellic music called Maggot Brain, then this guy does the best cover/tribute to that I have ever seen. His name is Dave Simpson and he has a great channel here on youtube. ua-cam.com/video/iDJWgo3ojTA/v-deo.html Listen to this a couple of times, I guarantee it'l stay in your head forever.
@@saddletramp6935 same here. 75 year old and still cry when I hear Gilmore play. Was at that performance and there are no words to describe the feelings.
As a female singer you will love "The Great Gig in the Sky". The backing singers get to show their quality in three solo's that will blow your socks off. The original album version is the definitive version but the live one from this show was very cool too and as you said, you like live :) .
I was thinking along the same lines. "The Great Gig in the Sky" is absolutely amazing. but I also love "Shine On You Crazy Diamond".
@@kiethlambert8681 Diamonds has been my fave bit of music since it came out. It's the perfect mix of everything I love in music.
Omg Clare Torry!!!
I was there for this live and got to witness what is arguably the greatest guitar solo ever recorded.
This show changed my life!
So was I….best show ever!
Was this the one at Royal Albert Hall, or something like that? London, right?
@@brettkenschaft4239 Earls Court in London.
@@EricManktelow Oh yeah. Thanks!
Did you have any idea at the time you were witnessing to the greatest solo ever?
When I was 10 years old, my dad took me to the cinema to see The Wall and he fell drunk asleep after the first 10 minuttes, but I was sitting there and having my first real big expierence with music. I was blown away. So Pink Floyd will always be one of those bands that means extra much to me. They are a big part of why I started making music myself.
Do check out the movie. It is awesome.
Very strange movie, but love the music
Hope you were driving on the way home. I was.
Wondering how the song “Comfortably Numb” felt when your Dad was passed out next to you. Had to be weird.
The solos in this song have so much emotion behind them it almost brings tears to my eyes. Very rare a song can make me feel so much.
Gilmour doesn’t play the guitar, he makes it sing. So rad I got to see them on the Pulse tour in ‘94.
Pink Floyd is music that will never go out of style and will always be ahead of the game
Amen!!!!!
I might say something else but, I can't argue with that statement.
@DarkF4k3 well for me there is no debate, so i respectfully disagree. Love Randy, tragic story, awesome solo; but for me it doesn't compare. And ofc that the atmosphere and the lights are important, but who did it better than Pink Floyd?
@DarkF4k3 Those are 2 excellent choices! The whole UFO live album is great!!!!
As much as I love David Gilmour's solo I think Jimmy Page's Stairway to Heaven solo is the best of of all time. I put David's solo at #2
I worked construction and had hour drive home, and spent that time with Pink Floyd, all of FP. Never get tired of their style.
When you have such an elaborate light show, keeping time is paramount.
Incredible.
FLOYD are CONCEPT ALBUMS. THEY SHOULD BE HEARD IN THEIR ENTIRETY. AMAZING DISCOGRAPHY.
Aileen caught feels! Great reactions..... Emotional truth.
I have listened to many a guitar solo in my life, and loved many of them, but this live guitar solo is my all time favorite. It takes you on a soothing journey through light and sound that gives you chills. It leaves you relaxed and yet full of energy. Simply beautiful.
Oooooo getting into Pink Floyd! You’re in for another great ride!
Your facial expressions during the best guitar solo of all time were fantastic. Pink Floyd takes you to places you didn't know existed.
Yes and Yes 👍
WOW 🤩. Youre reacting to one of the best Guitar Solos of all time! Cant wait!
God I was born too late, you have no idea what I would give to be able to go back in time and attend a Pink Floyd concert
I'm one of those
@@scbl46 I saw em twice, you can have one. I used to think the stones has the best show, but they aren't close to these.
Enjoy :)
100% agree
Fuckin A!
not only is Dave one of the best guitarists and songwriters EVER... he also brought Kate Bush to fame
Respect & Peace ☘
roger waters i think
I did not know that! Cool 😁🤘
@@garythomas9841 it was dave that discovered Kate.
Her 1st album has an inscription to Dave pressed into each copy just after the last track. I think it said "Thanks to Dave for rolling the ball".
There is no stupid smile on your face, it´s just a an honest reaction! Loved it!
My favorite band. One of the greatest songs ever. This whole album is fantastic. Dark side of the moon is up there as well
I had the privilege of being at this concert the night this was recorded, I can't put into words how it looked and made me feel, I didnt just see the concert I felt it and lived it.
🤗🤗🤗
This is my all-time favorite piece of recorded music. If I could only ever listen to one song for the rest of my life, it's this one. Every note is like an old friend.
Yes, a trance is the perfect way to describe Pink Floyd. If you want a complete trip listen to The Dark Side of the Moon album beginning to end in one sitting. And The Wall is an entirely different trip altogether.
And Animals. And Wish you were here. And Mettle. And on and on and on.
Umagumma is great as well, the song gathered in a cave grooving with a pict is strange but cool
What did y’all think of endless river?
@@jameshinton429972 James, don't forget one of their most underrated albums ever, "Obscured by Clouds", came out in 1972, a year before "Dark Side....."
The division bell or momentry lapse too. BIG albums
Yes, their light shows were spectacular. Only because it had to match their music. I was lucky to see a performance of the wall in Dortmund, Germany in 1981. Then in Wembley, London, England in 1988, which was similar to the show here. Not much else to say. They are a band of a lifetime.
One of the biggest regrets I have in my life. Life long fan and never seeing them live. First world problems 😂
The lights don't make the song version better and the original version is better as it has Rodger Waters vocals on it.
There is even a plane that flies over the audience on a wire and crashes against a wall. Spectacular show.
Cheers from another '65er!
Buried our son to this song, he was only 26, taken by a drunk-driving incident, his friend was the driver. This was Logan's & his Mum Tina's favourite song & band of all time.
RIP Logan & Tina
To me, Pink Floyd is mind expandingly, beautiful music!
So sorry to hear that. Your family will be in my thoughts and I'm glad there's some comfort to be found in this music.
I'm 63 and that is the kind of music in my generation. To see this young ladies reaction is priceless. You'll not see live concerts like the due to the fact they're too old or dead. Rock is not dead, it will always live on.
@Raylan Givens Next best thing !
63? No Youngsters PLEASE Andrew😀
Still my favorite. 41 years young. Floyd is bliss. Thank you always beautiful.
I adore David Gilmour's voice and love everything Pink Floyd. My favorite song is 'Us and Them'.
Great one. One of mine too, the sax is fantastic.
Girl. I could feel you felt that guitar solo at 14 minutes. Thank you for reacting to this beautiful masterpiece by this amazing band
If you wanna experience the magic Nick Mason can produce, try their Echos live concert in Pompeii . An outstanding piece of musical creation.
Was just about to advise the very same ... Well Said!! 👏👏👏
Yes please do amazing performance by Nick
"I can't feel my face"
So is it... comfortably numb...? Sorry, I couldn't resist 😅
But seriously, with the death of many languages and evolution of others, I feel like the greatest language is that of music. The fact that various sounds can come together and speak to our very souls without so much as a single word uttered is the greatest thing.
🤣🤣🤣
-without so much as a single word uttered
The obvious next step is then "The Great Gig in the Sky" from the same concert.
🤣🤣🤣
Get to know the lyrics as a conversation between a doctor and a patient who is really in bad shape physically and mentally but also so far gone that he's numb. The lyrics are so expressive, so well sung, and then, AND THEN the guitar says things the words cannot, an extension of the words that's pure raw emotion but exactly in step with what the words said. This has to be one of the greatest songs ever written and performed.
So sad and heartfelt, soul like we'll never see again 💞
This song is a pure masterpiece, incredible performance. You can feel every note and lyric, my favorite song of all time hands down.
"Coming Back to Life" from this concert is breathtaking. I'm a metalhead and it makes me tear up. Great reaction!
One of the best shows I've ever seen, and breathtaking lighting, best guitar solo ever
I think a lot of people can definitely relate
Listen to Dark side, of the Moon, beginning to end, headphones ,weed and snacks.
Finally Pink Floyd, I was waiting for you to react to them, please do them more!
Pink Floyd wasn't a band who cared about singles, they are best listened to by album. It is an experience that flows from one song to the next to take you on a psychedelic ride.
Agreed! 100% at least one whole side at a time.
There is absolutely NOTHING like seeing a live Floyd show! Unfortunately I was too young to see the original band all together but I did see the Momentary Lapse of Reason and the Division Bell tours and they were hands down the best I've ever seen!!
This has to be one of, if not THE most staggering music performance ever! You cannot have a soul if you are not moved by this...
If I were ever a DJ I'd quit before ever ending that solo early if on-air.
you can tell this music is life changing...people sitting motionless absorbing every single note.
115,000 did that in Cleveland in 1994. Never heard of a place with that many people so absolutely quiet at one time in my life. I was one of em.
Watching someone experience Pink Floyd for the first time, a band I've been enjoying for decades, is ALWAYS a wonderful thing!
Having loved Pink Floyd since I was young, I am mid 50s now.. I genuinely had pure joy watching you experience this for the first time.. Floyd are masters of emotion musically and with the use of their language, thank you for sharing your experience with us..
You NEED NEED NEED to react to “Run like Hell” or “One of These Days” from the same concert. Absolute fire! 🔥
The best Echoes is also the last. From the Live at Gdansk gig. Gilmour and Wright nails it completely!
A great reaction. Needed minor face surgery once. My surgeon asked what music I preferred as he did it. I answered- Pink Floyd. It helped calm me. They are one great band and no one can touch their light show. Innovators and pure talent all. Epic song and group.😊👍
That is probably the best live song by pink floyd. Great light show and hypnotic guitar solo. Love your reactio ❤
