Before "Rump Shaker" or "Baby Got Back", it was "Fat Bottom Girls". Many have taken this as somehow an insult, but it really was a celebration of women with curves. One of the most of positive songs out there.
Most guys indeed liked curves back in the day, but there's a difference between a curvy ass (like a classic late '60s Camaro) and a fat one (like an AMC Pacer), which was much more of a niche preference back then. None of the sex symbols of the '70s and '80s nor the girls in Playboy or Penthouse, had fat bottoms (though if you liked that I'm sure there was a porno rag for you. Actually I think Hustler probably had some. Their girls looked came in various shapes and sizes, and all looked luke someone went to a trailer park and offered them $50 to pose). We certainly didn't have the obsession with bubble butts people do nowadays. If that's what you like, cool, I'm not judging. But some women are now wearing butt pads and even getting butt implants, which is weird. Though maybe not quite as dangerous as the "heroin chic" fad of the early '90s. That was creepy AF. I remember when J. Lo's booty was the "butt" of many jokes (see what I did there), but now it's apparently what younger guys like and fashionable women want. Unless it has already went out of style when I wasn't looking. I'm too old to keep up with this shit. 😂
Since you've reacted to 'Fat Bottomed Girls' I highly recommend Bicycle Race. It's a great companion piece to this song, Brian May (the guitarist) wrote 'Fat Bottomed Girls' and Freddie wrote Bicycle Race. Freddie was inspired to write the song while watching the 18th stage of the 1978 Tour de France passing Montreux, where the band were recording their album Jazz (Where these two songs feature) in the Mountain Studios.
I knew the two songs always go together, but I hadn’t realized they were written by different people. Such good coordination between the two (although each song stands tall on its own too)
Her name was Zomba. She stood six feet and at least three inches qnd weighed about 270 pounds. She stole my friend for a night at a Grateful Dead show for the evening. Problem was that he stole her hat. She rousted us all at sunrise looking for our partner in crime.
I'm so happy you're doing another Queen song. Freddie is the ultimate showman; and he can sing a little bit, too. One of my favorites is "My Melancholy Blues" from News of the World. He does a killer live version on 12/11/77. I think you'd really dig it. Anyway, loved your reaction, young lady.
Also you would enjoy Death On Two Legs off of Night at the Opera album. It’s a grievance Freddy had with there management. He links him pretty bad the lyrics are phenomenal. Keep doing what you are doing it’s fantastic…
Great reaction to this great song, Aileen, thank you. I highly recommend "Killer Queen" by them, another earlier track of theirs which is well worth reacting to.
Would love to see your reaction to Freddie Mercury & Montseratt Caballé - Barcelona, was Freddie’s dream to work with her and they remained great friends until he passed away, it’s an absolute masterpiece of a performance, have the tissues at the ready tho 😁 great reaction again Aileen ❤️
Prior to Freddie joining, the band was called Smile - which is what everyone does when they hear Queen 😁 Recommendations: seven seas of rye, one vision, tie your mother down.
This is the first I've heard anyone take this part in particular. It was telling how she didn't process the meaning and reacted to the lyrics.. almost like it's entirely fake and she's reacting for engagement and not sincerely.
In addition to the musical abilities of each member of Queen and Freddy's showmanship, I've grown more and more over the years to appreciate how they were able to write and perform songs that spanned so many different styles/genres from rock, to rock opera, to pop, to disco-ish, and more. I truly wish I was old enough to have seen them in concert or wish that Freddy had not died so young.
But the most tear jerking song will always be "Who Wants to Live Forever?"😢. So damn beautiful. The Tenors, a quartet of singers, brought some justice to it. They definitely didn't make it boring.
This song can sneak up and make you headbang without realizing it. I still love it 😉 You’d love Seven Seas of Rhye! I also recommend Tenement Funster for some lesser played Queen.
That was a blinding track even back in the day, and part of a great album (Jazz). Always fun, often varied, QUEEN have a phenomenal catalogue for a band that was only active for about ten years.
Aileen, I just subscribed for your Queen reactions 👍 Queen just doesn't afraid of making songs about everything, I mean everything, they were always trying something new, in the lyrics or music. Aileen, I think you haven't reacted to sade before. And for me and many people sade is one of the best female singers of all time. Please can you react to some of her legendary songs? I suggest some of them: Like a tattoo (live from San Diego) this is a masterpiece song Cherish the day (music video) No ordinary love Bullet proof soul Kiss of life
Dr. Brian May is an astrophysicist as well as the guitarist for Queen. Since his postulation (assisted by F. Mercury et al) that the Earth's rotation is due to the activity of fat bottomed girls has never been disproven or even seriously questioned in over 40 years, it must be regarded as scientific fact.
California ed ❤ doing queen is a great choice to do their an iconic band 👏 I seen them and they put on a great show 👍 glad to see 👀 you having fun with this band 😀 you go baby girl ❤
What a fun song! This came out when "rail thin" was chic. But every rock crowd, whether in your local dive bar or in a huge arena, was filled with (what we now call "thicc" girls) fat bottomed girls. And they were a LOT of fun! What a great time to be alive!! Well done young lady! Thank you.
Funny, I just watched your Queen LiveAid reaction and now you have a new Queen recation :D This is a double A-side single from 79. This song was by Brian, the other (Bicycle Race) by Freddie. The two songs are musically not only similar but even quote each other. Clever PR :)
One of many odes to the thicc women of the world. If you haven't checked out Home Free's "Butts Remix" it includes this song in an AMAZING mashup. Queen and AC/DC both understand why they make music - to make people feel good!
I've asked before, and I'll ask again, young lady. Save Me from The Game album and the live performance from "Rocks Montreal 1981". This song was a double A side single with "Bicycle Race" off their "Jazz" album. The video for that one caused a ruckus, as the band asked a bike shop to loan them bicycles to film the video. When the shop found out that the models wore nothing but sneakers and bike helmets, the band had to buy new seats. The album had a 12"×24" poster from the video in the sleeve.
Well, besides Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure, We Will Rock You/We are the Champions, Another One Bites the Dust, Don't Stop Me Now, I mean, he's got soooo many huge hits!
I would recommend if you haven't listened to them yet tie your mother down and somebody to love. And two non queen songs we gotta know by the cro mags and rise above by black flag
At one point Freddie sings "Get on your bikes and ride". This may be a reference to another song on this album called Bycicle Race that I always liked. Check it out!
😂😂😂 omg I love it .. fat Fatties .. I haven't heard this song in forever . So glad you did another queen song . Queen is the greatest ❤❤ and so are you 🤘🤘🤘🤘
As sad as it may sound I literally wait for and look forward to you telling me at the end of every video that you love me so very much. I say it at the end of most of my videos, but with you it's like I feel like I feel it for the first time from someone else. Keep rocking it woman! 😎😁🤗
If anyone would know what makes the rockin' world go 'round, it would be Sir Brian May, with his Ph.D. in astrophysics and his absolute perfection on guitar!
Hi Aileen. Always love your genuine and fun reactions. Would love to see you do some reactions to Brandon Flowers, The Killers, Brigitte Calls Me Baby. Also Ren has a new video out today.
Can't beat a bit of Freddie and the boys 👌 missed so much their music had such a unique sound not just Freddies vocals but Brian's red special John's bass lines and Rogers drums along with the harmonies they just gelled 👌 a little off topic came across an artist "Skar productions " and his covers are just incredible even done a little collaboration with Dan Vasc but one to check out first (if u haven't already) is his cover of "country roads " fallout 76 epic metal version absolute banger 👍have a fantastic one stay safe take care all the very best from Scotland to you 👍 👊
Been to long since you did a queen reaction Aileen I'm glad you did this one and yes we need to get you some of those leather pants looking beautiful as always 🫶
Ah! The fun side of Queen! Haven't heard this one in years... thank you Aileen. Now, I've got a few good Bass lines for you : 1. Rock On - by David Essex... use the Vevo version for best quality. Can't get tired of this one. 2. Green Eyed Lady - by Sugarloaf... this 1970 hit has a catchy bass/drum riff that makes you wanna move. 3. Time Of The Season - by The Zombies(lyric video)... this '68 song is British psychedelic rock. 4. Mony Mony - by Billy Idol... just his energy is contagious... not to mention his snarl! 5. Crystal Blue Persuasion - by Tommy James and the Shondells... another '68 song that is timeless. Enjoy!
a Queen video that doesn't make you smile? might i suggest Who Wants to Live forever. from the Highlander soundtrack. the story i head is they asked Queen to write a love song for the movie but Freddy said "he is immortal, he doesn't get a love song, he gets a tragedy."
Before "Rump Shaker" or "Baby Got Back", it was "Fat Bottom Girls". Many have taken this as somehow an insult, but it really was a celebration of women with curves. One of the most of positive songs out there.
Don’t forget Spinal Tap’s timeless classic “Big Bottom”!
How could you leave that behind?
Aileen has a big beautiful butt 🙂
@@ZyggyZero How can I leave that Butt behind?
AC/DC's Whole Lotta Rosie came out the year before

"Big fat fanny", which is a British double entende in itself.
I've always loved that line and still giggle over it.
@@mooniejohnsonwho deep down doesn’t like a fat fanny?
The line is "left alone with big fat Fanny, she was such a naughty nanny". She is a large woman who shaped him as a child.

Hence the callback to bicycle race when Freddie says get on your bikes and ride!
And the original 45 single had both songs.
I was just think about the Bicycle song 😂
I knew the two songs always go together, but I hadn’t realized they were written by different people. Such good coordination between the two (although each song stands tall on its own too)
Was a double A side single
The song was written by guitarist Dr Brian May. Great track. I would recommend "One Vision" for you next.
Aileen Senpai has a beautiful fat butt 🙂🙂
Ailen Senpai has a fat butt 🙂 And it's beautiful
AILEEN has a BIG beautiful butt 🙂
Aileen has a big beautiful butt 🙂
Aileens butt is big and beautiful 🙂
Got to love fat bottom girls❤❤
it´s all about the base

Such an iconic song! I love that they were in a different time, where no o e was mad about his words, and simply enjoyed his message ❤️
Killer Queen has to be next!!
best song
If you like the film “Highlander”, Queen performed the entire soundtrack, the song “Princes of the universe” is great!
And don't forget Flash!

Nice to hear a real rocker from Queen, they have many more to try, do the official video for Liar and hear another. Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
Ya gotta do Tie Your Mother Down and something more obscure, ‘39, a song with Dr. May on vocals.
Cheers!
Perfect song for doing shots while playing quarters in the Army barracks. Great memories.
Well now you need to react to the official video for Queen's "I Want To Break Free"...🤣
'Get on your bike and ride!' refers to their song Bicycle Race.
And Bicycle Race refers to Fat Bottomed Girls.
both songs were debuted at the "little 500" annal bicycle race at Indiana University
Bicycle Race also references this, "Fat Bottom girls, they'll being riding today."
I swear EVERY BOY put the "BICYCLE GIRLS" Poster, which was in the "Jazz" LP Cover,on his wall untill the Parents saw it and you had to remove it....
Just for your clarity, it's "big fat Fanny", which has a very different meaning in the UK! 😂
Brian May, the guitarist, wrote this one. And I love it!
Brian is stupid talented. Making his own guitar to studying space sciences. Wow. He wrote great songs too.
Dr. Brian May.
Truly an underrated legend

That was such an amazing duet.
Thank you.
Queens mashup of their "Fat Bottomed Girls" and "Bicycle Race" is also good.
Have you done the live version of Somebody to Love, 1981 Montreal yet? If not, it’s a must listen!
Another example of Queen being ahead of their time. Gyatt bottomed girls 😂
Check out an understated and not as well-known Queen song, "Who Wants to Live Forever".
And the breaking benjamin cover
Anyone who's seen Highlander knows Who Wants to Live Forever lol
At the end of this song, you hear him say get on your bikes and ride, in their song Bicycle, they mention Fat Bottom Girls.
Prior to Freddie joining, the band was called Smile - which is what everyone does when they hear Queen 😁
Recommendations: seven seas of rye, one vision, tie your mother down.
Next check out Spinal Tap's spoof Big Bottom. The 3 frontmen are all playing bass to give it a big bottom sound.
Save Me, Sail Away Sweet Sister, The Game, and Who Wants To Live Forever are awesome by Queen...❤❤❤
Definitely the first two there. As Aileen really likes the bass, maybe Dragon Attack off The Game.
Ok every one assumes “stiffness in my bones” is lewd… it means it’s “I am getting old and stiff” not “a stiff bone” ;)

Queen, the original shock rockers. They were the best ever. Rest in Peace Freddie Mercury.
This is in top off the queen catalogue for me surely, guitarist Bryan May wrote this one, that naughty boy..
One of QUEEN'S best...... some early Queen.... the song is " March of the Black Queen"

I had this album back when it came out! I was only in middle school 🤣!Great one!!❤️❤️
Aileen your every guy’s dream please keep doing what you’re doing you rock!
Hype song for sure! Fat bottom girls getting their recognition!👍😉
The songwriter and guitarist Brian May is an actual Doctor of Astrophysics, so he should know what makes worlds go around...

There is no bad Queen song, only varying levels of epic. This is one of the most epic. Fun reaction!
Please watch queens song Alone, which was re,released earlier this year as they left it off the a album from 30oddy ears ago .
You should deffo react to Spinal Tap's "Big Bottom" now
This is one of a select few classic rock songs that begin with the chorus. Another one I can think of is "Carry On, Wayward Son" by Kansas.
Aileen, you NEED to see this song LIVE at The Bowl (aka Live at Milton Keynes Bowl) 1982 !
The first concert I went to was Queen Aug 1982. To this day it is still the best concert. They didn't just play they put on a show.
At one point Freddie sings "Get on your bikes and ride". This may be a reference to another song on this album called Bycicle Race that I always liked. Check it out!
🎶"Fat bottomed girls, they'll be riding today so look out for those beauties, oh yeah"🎶
One was the B-side for the other, like "We Will Rock You" was originally the B-side to "We Are The Champions".
AileenSenpai… loving the enthusiasm.
A couple of queen tracks I recommend
- love of my life
- Sheer Heart Attack
- Dragon Attack
Best Queen song ever!
😂😂😂 omg I love it .. fat Fatties .. I haven't heard this song in forever . So glad you did another queen song . Queen is the greatest ❤❤ and so are you 🤘🤘🤘🤘
