    Cole and charisma are so open about answering questions that people would normally be uncomfortable asking It helps people be more understanding and hopefully compassionate towards disabled persons. They live life so fully and the love they have for one another is so uplifting.

    I'm a paraplegic but I have the same issue regulating my body temp. I sweat still but once I'm hot it takes a long time to get my body temp back down. Same thing when I'm cold so I always try to plan for the weather.

      Hey, there snoopy WL. I hear you and I can relate to that. I be just sitting on the couch and be sweating like a marathon jogger. I've tried everything but, nothing works to keep my body temperature cool. But, it's life and I'm so excited to be alive from my car accident that I just go with it.     I am having a hard time with the heat too. I Live in Atlantic Beach/Jacksonville Florida and the humidity gets so bad the air feels thick and it's hatd to breathe. Go sit in the AC ❤❤❤🐊😎🏖🌞🐊😁❤❤❤❤😊

I be sweating like a marathon jogger and all I'm doing is sitting on the couch watching TV ( or playing video games ).     Nice and Informative. I had a cousin who got hit by a van and she was in a wheelchair and she couldn't sweat either. It's nice that someone is talking about this. Thank You Cole.

      Hey, there Ella Martell and what you said this sweating condition is called Poikilotherm and how does this work. Because I have had this problem from day one when I had my car accident and Stroke. My body be sweating like a marathon jogger and all I be doing is sitting on the couch playing games on my tablet.       @@brendashort3294 poikilothermia typically occurs in patients with spinal cord injuries. Your history of having had a stroke may play a large role in how your body now regulates its temperature. I would check with your primary care provider - they’d be better equipped to give you a more solid answer given they know your medical history. : ) good luck!

    I was in a really bad car accident I need 3 back surgeries and a hip replacement. But I think my spine has something to do with why I'm either freezing cold or super hot I mean overwhelmingly hot.

      Hey, there Ms. Goldie Locks I hear you. From day one I had my car accident and Stroke I've been struggling with my body temperature. I be sweating like a marathon jogger and all I'm doing is sitting on the couch watching TV or playing video games. I enjoy the fall and winter months. Because August and September are too much heat and humidity for me. I try to stay inside during the summer months. Take care and have a great Labor Day!!! 🙂🙂

    I kinda know how you feel with the heat. My body has a hard time releasing heat as well. I have actually only ever had a rolling sweat 5 times in the past 10 plus years. Not sure why. So when I try to do anything in warm weather I get heat exhaustion so annoyingly easy. Like I can get a mild case just from mowing the lawn. We have a zero clearance lawn mower, but also have 3 acres, so it takes awhile. I always have to take tylonal or something afterwards. I have learned the hard way not wait. The worst Head ache galore and all that can be cause by that. Your body not regulating isn't fun, but I am glad that you have been able to find a way to help cope! Blessings to you and your wife!

    I hear you Cole about body temperature. Ever since I had my car accident and I had a stroke as well I can never have the right temperature. Like it's really muggy out right now and I'm catching pure HELL trying to stay cool. I be sweating like a marathon jogger and all I'm doing is sitting on the couch. It's crazy how Spine Injury, Head Injury and Stroke can cause so much trouble with your body functions. Thanks for pointing that out and say hello to Charisma (and Sophie) for me.     Dang, I'm so sorry to hear that! I do not at all have a spinal chord injury, but I have a rare skin condition that also makes me unable to sweat (the pores are basically covered shut), so I can relate to how shit it is when your internal AC is broken 🥲 Summer is literally hell... but after seeing this I'm even more aware/grateful that at least I can regulate my body temperature in the cold, which is a massive privilege! 🌻

    I am a paraplegic and have been for 16 years and I am on a keto diet. I have found that it helps tremendously with temperature control among many other things.

    I have busted temperature responses too! It’s really hard for my body to know when to shiver, sweat, etc because of my autism. Glad I live somewhere where it doesn’t get too hot.

    For years after contracting EBV and getting chronic fatigue syndrome had every day high afternoon temps for no reason. They call them FUO fever of unknown origin.

    People with multiple sclerosis have the same issue with regulating body temperature, too. We also have to factor in humidity…ugh!

    God bless you and your beautiful wife so full of energy🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍my husband a quad also 34 years in, we are out of energy 🙃😝😜but we are doing well no bed sores because he watched movies on what happens when you do not take good care of yourself or an aide ..God has been a HUGE BLESSING 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Mike survived car 🚗 crash 💥 brand new van 16 years ago gift 🎁 from God 🙏🙏🙏a baby boy(MIRACLE) after the doctor told him no chance of anymore children….THATS GOD 🙏🙏🙏🙏I know you are RIGHT on not perspiring 👍👍👍Mike tries to be in the heat when he is up (1 day up 2 days down)so he can get used to it in case we have a situation we can’t control …no pain meds cause he knows they DO NOT WORK 👍👍drinks beer for pain when he is in his wheelchair 🦼
    … l was pregnant with 2 nd girl🙏🙏🙏🙏2 hours away in a hospital for 6 months..with a broken neck that’s all nothing else wrong with him🙏🙏🙏sorry it’s all over the place, appreciate you guys sharing your life with us it does help(l don’t feel so alone, you guys just showed up on a short and l believe that Jesus is in control and put you in my path 👍👍🙏🙏)Stay strong and please keep sharing your knowledge, thank you both 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

    I have MS, and I’m in the EXACT same position. When my body temp gets hot or cold… it cannot correct itself. I’ve never heard anyone explain it so precisely. Thank you for sharing!

    That's true being paralyzed our body can't regulate body temperature but we still do sweat. Because for me my feet are always sweaty

    I know after my accidents, that I developed crps and one of the side effects makes it where I can go hypothermic super fast and it kicks my muscles up.
    I hate that you can’t regulate your body temp as easy and thank you for informing others

    I can't regulate my body temperature aswell. I find when its hot, peppermint body wash or oil cools you down. The methol cools you down. I have sensations of like a chemical acid bath burn I highly recommend a extra large dog cooling mat. Have it in the fridge. Thermals are good for when your too cold.
