This is so incredible, I am honored to have played a small role in the realization of this project. You tell a story like no other, I will never be able to shake these emotions no matter how many times I watch it. Just absolutely incredible
I am currently applying for the academy and the class of 2025. It’s been a strange year so far and this video gave me some hope that I really needed. The cinematography is amazing as well. Very professional.
Love this video. Reminded me so much of my own experience in 1973 and "The Day I left Home". Yes...left my family, friends and what was comfortable behind. But gained a whole new FAMILY and discovered what I could do when I put my heart and sole into it. Led to a very rewarding 30 year career.
Colin...I currently work at the Academy as the DEE lab tech and am a semi-pro photographer/videographer! I gotta say maaaan, THIS is some PRO level stuff! Great story and greatly told by your excellent skills! You just gained a new sub and follow!
I'm sorry that wasn't your experience. I hope you are well. I am a USNA grad not USCG. It was mostly good. This appears to me to be basically marketing and nothing else.
As someone who went through Coast Guard boot camp I have to strongly disagree. We had two people die on our obstacle, now called challenge, course. What sticks with me was on the 4th day of forming week, the base commander came in and gave me something that stayed with me through my whole Coast Guard career and into my civilian life. "If we have to save you while we are doing our job of saving someone else, you are of no use to the Coast Guard." CAPT A.B. Howe, commander USCG TRACEN 1974. I went on to serve for 11.5 years as a search and rescue helicopter pilot and later a C130 pilot.

Unmatched cinematography! Thank you for telling these stories so profoundly and respectfully.
This is really exceptional. It transported me back to the day I left home in June 1985 to go to New London.
Thank you so much for your service, we ❤️ USCGA
hope everyone makes it ‘til
The graduation day!!

THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
This is amazing, I’m so proud of all you guys 😭
Amazing! You have told a sensitive story about the Coast Guard Academy experience. Good and bad.
Superb storytelling.
This is awesome. Thank you guys so much for making this video!
Beautifully done
It is heart warming to hear that cadets could rely on their classmates and would do anything for each other. That wasn’t my experience.

I wanna be like this. I wanna be a role model for people yknow. I wanna be in the class of 2029. I want to make a difference

How is it
I got a pamphlet in the mail about going there never even thought about joining the military in my life now I’m thinking about going here 😂
I got a question, after swab summer do you get a chance tobe on your phone and text and call people outside the academy regularly
Answer is yes. My daughter is a 4/C now.
Hi Colin - what year did you graduate? Your USCGA Content is great - do you have IG?
For nearly 150 years
Dinosaurs roamed the earth
Amazing video too
700 push ups in a day? wtf
Hardest BootCamps:
1. Marines
2 Army/Coast Guard tie
3. Navy
4. Airforce
All the Army to Coast Guard people I've spoken to say CG was way harder for boot camp, but more relaxed afterwards.
