Very good helpful info. Thanks Tommy. Take care, when resetting rods to pistons. That material has been heat cycled many times usually, so it's a bit on the weak side already. Just small adjustments with the reset tools, for ALL used cox Ball and socket rods/pistons. You can really kill that motor by over tightening that socket. I always warmed my combos up with a heat gun before resetting, to get it closer to it's operating temp. Once cooled, it gained it's own rod to piston clearance and loosened slightly. Once I started doing it that way, they ran like a champ. YOU MUST run a rich needle for a couple tanks, before full load.
@@coxgaspoweredtether Yup. Did the same thing on a maiden flight once. Deadlock!. Stopped dead instantly. Just made it back over the canal to the field.
This is awesome. I can see myself messing with these Us guys are simple. So it has no exhaust or carb. You just spray a little fuel in it and it runs for a couple minutes?
Great stuff! To bad they are not around today.
Get them on eBay!

I like the Pre heat, I do usually run rich oil afterwards but I have blown a piston by overtightening. It broke at the rod ball and socket...
