Yea thanks, new race ⛽️ fuel ! And using a double tether launch method to get it going... I'm also going to lower tether height a bit for this diameter , but both of these cars just scream...

Thanks love that car I don't know something about the sound with the stock 049 maybe the copper Reed. Some guy in the parking lot said he was waiting for it to take off he heard the sound and thought it was a model airplane LOL

@coxgaspoweredtether mine decidedly went "toe-out" on that single pivot. I added a extra bridle pivot on the bottom tub section up to where the plastic curls out for the front wheels. with a L bend alum tab. Looks the same basically as the 70's Shrike forward bridle point, but I made it to my liking. .062 bride wire. 3mm button head and lock nut holds the pivot to the tub.

Yes I guess because it's a stripped down version of the Pinto, Vega but it is fast No Frills no throttle shunt

Thanks yes they're expensive and you have to score a good one at a fair price, buy a clean body you can always build an engine...

You are correct I am going to install new killer bee cylinder, w piston as may be low on compression...can't needle it at all to scream.. everything else seems in order, . Stay tuned....

You can run any modern production glow fuel made today. VP Racing is an excellent brand and it can be had in many blends of nitro and oils. Whichever brand you can get, I recommend the "Sport" fuel with 15% nitro and 18% oil blend of castor and synthetic. Avoid the so called race car fuels because they only have 9% oil because racers don't care about longevity in their engines, lol.

@@xKmotx Thank you so much, I have 3 vintage nitro cars from the mid to late 90s today that haven't been run, but are in good shape. I always kick around the idea of driving them down the alley behind my house, but not sure what fuel will prevent them from being permanent shelf queens.

Go for it! Get some off the shelf fuel at hobby shop as suggested 😎
