Thanks for the pristine vintage run. I would have questioned myself on that one, but, they were built to be ran and they made alot of them. Poor tires are age hard as rocks. Glue the strip with 2 liter bottles of sprite and a broom and a hot day. We used this trick when racing 1/12 on-road for the corner bite. You could have a gutter mobile come out and extrude you a 110-'ft single piece of dragstrip, no guide string needed. Might be tough to get it in the Car,,lol. Thanks Tony.
Super cool! First run was a good one. She is so mint hopefully it didn't hurt it to bad when the wheel came off. I have one just as mint as that one thanks for running yours so I don't have to run mine lol. Thanks agree! After 1st Run it ate the original reed valve, so needed tear down, the other runs next nite, notice dirty parking lot from trucks....wait till you see what I have coming this summer...working on few cool projects, all Cox related
Duuuudddddee! I had this as a kid, i will never forget me and my dad got it started, it took off screaming down the string, but guess what the parachute never deployed and it hit the nail at the other end of the string and exploded into pieces! The was the first and last run of my dragster!
Bro, that's a sad story.But let me tell you check my latest upload my GT40 hit a wall and broke into a 100 pieces.I glued it back together and ran it. However as a kid it must have been devastating....I now put a pillow and a Y string ... but we were kids, right.I did it too
