Beautiful video! I remember when I was a kid and our fish were pregnant, my mom would use a pregnancy tank and put the mom inside so when she gave birth, the fry would fall through the bottom half and the mom couldn't eat them. It was so nice to watch the births with my mom. Thank you for sweet memories and posting the video! 🐠🐠🐠
Novita Listyani, hi! There is reason your guppy didn't eat the fry. After giving birth, the first thing baby guppies do is hide. When they're strong and fast enough, their mom doesn't wanna eat them anymore ☺
that is starting to happen in my tank as well. o well we will see who survives. i have had 3 make it to near adulthood so far in 3 months. lots of little ones though!
Wow amazing quality. This video was really cool. My platy fish had babies last month, I'm expecting more quite soon. The first time it was really unexpected, I just saw the fry swimming around one day and had to take everything out of my tank (including decor - everything but gravel!) except the fry to fish them all out and put them in a breeder net so they wouldn't get eaten! It was cool to watch how livebearers are born, and I hope to catch my platy giving birth soon :)
Good luck! Just remember to keep an eye on your female to male ratio. I didn't do that when mine first started having fry and it became uncontrollable quickly, which means I have overcrowding and disease issues now :(
I once had a red molly that gave birth to about 50 fry. I tried to take out the fry so that they wouldn't get eaten by the other fish, but they were so delicate I was afraid to handle them. However it was unnecessary for there were no aggressive species in the aquarium. I remember I didn't change the water for 6 weeks or so. The fry grew to be about a cm long each and all but two survived - not bad all things considered. The aquarium was really quite small so we couldn't keep them. We just informed the folks at the store which sold us aquarium supplies and they came and took away the little fish. In exchange they gave us a beautiful angel fish and a year's supply of daphnia free! I remember that the day before the mom fish gave birth, she stopped eating and swimming. She would sit on the gravel bottom in one corner of the tank with her belly all distended. I thought she was ill and would die. It never occurred to me that she might be pregnant because no one I knew had ever been able to get their pet fish to breed. The tiny red fry were indeed a very pleasant surprise!
Use an aquarium with dark background, make sure the lighting is strong enough to hit the subject but not that strong to hit the background (I use LED lights), and then add another lighting from above, you should also expect to do some color grading with the post processing software. Most modern video editing software has such feature.
This video is so awesome! Great footage and editing! I want more! I also have, not 2, but 3 female guppies which are very close to dropping her fry... I can't wait! One of them seems less round since this morning and for a second I thought she might have dropped her fry and eaten them during the night, but now I might think she changed to more of a box shape.
Amazing shoot. It shows affection and dedication. Great appreciation form me. I like to know, what is the size of your tank. Hope do not mind to reply.
One of my guppies unexpectedly gave birth overnight. We only had four survivors in the morning, as she didn’t seem ready to give birth so she was still in the community tank
I have a bunch of feeder guppies, (I saved them from becoming prey for other fish by buying them from a pet store) and sometimes they have babies. I have 2 different tail colors, red and yellow, and I'm hoping to get a few males with other tail colors. Usually the babies are born when no one is home, and they can easily escape into the enclosed area of the breeder box.
The babies look big in this video. But as ive had guppies I can tell you that they are super tiny when they are born. The equipment used for this video had to be really expensive to get that good of footage. Great job
Hi. Nice video you have there. Do you have any particular types of food you will recommend to feed the guppy babies? I try cooked eye yolk and micro pellets, don't see to work that well. I understand live daphnia and live brine shrimp are good stuff, but they are not easy to find in my country... :(

I actually had that the babies fell through to the other fish who were more than happy to munch in them..
@@ariadni9757 that is not good :( poor babies
I remember my brother thought his fish was pregnant but it turned out the fish was just eating to much 😂

The quality of your video and your choice of bg music is on point
The video quality is awesome, super crisp and the mirrored view of guppy was an eyecandy
Your guppies are GORGEOUS
I have never seen a female with such beautiful color and tail. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
How do u know the exact time and date of her delivery.
When she begins to act strangely and swims in one spot for longer than usual
indupalli pradeep well you look online of corse
It's stomach would look like it's about to explode
indupalli pradeep they will get fatter and they will also get a small black dot for where the babies will come
she will feel more contractions and she vomits

Love the narrative and the music: the suspense was killing me. 😂amazing video!
I've had guppies that gave birth many times but was never able to see the process so closely. This video was wonderful. Thank you so much!!!
Impressive filming! My guppy gave birth to 22 babies but she ate 20 of them.
I have no idea why this mother didn't eat any of the fry, I actually leaved her overnight with the fry.
Novita Listyani, hi! There is reason your guppy didn't eat the fry. After giving birth, the first thing baby guppies do is hide. When they're strong and fast enough, their mom doesn't wanna eat them anymore ☺

*AMAZING!! My guppie mom birthed her fry but had eaten all but two by the following morning. I was like, wtf?!*
Don't worry you set the breading cage
You're meant to separate them
Your guppy was a blady mom but mine loving once
You gotta feed them after they give birth so they can regain their strength

Novita, a beautiful movie, music, images and story! My compliments!

Its good that she didn't eat them! In my tank I had to catch the babies and separate them because the bigger guppies were trying to eat them

“She could feel them coming”Guppy: I FEEL IT COMING
how do you get those perfect shots? can you share what equipment did you use for this video?
I use two DSLR cameras with two different type of macro lenses. One for real close up the other for wide screen close up.
Novita Listyani thanks! And what about the light? How do you get this contrast between the guppy and the (black?) background ??
Use an aquarium with dark background, make sure the lighting is strong enough to hit the subject but not that strong to hit the background (I use LED lights), and then add another lighting from above, you should also expect to do some color grading with the post processing software. I used 5 gallon (about 20 ltr) tank when shooting this video. The babies now live in a 40 gallon tank.
