The little noises you give the fish make me SO happy. This kind of contemplative, slow video is just wonderful, I can't wait to see where this channel goes next
These little creatures have their own little haven where they can co-exist with a person that appreciates them. Seeing that little fish sitting on the leaf for hours just savoring the sun really brings me a sense of peace for some reason. Thanks for the video!
Fish absolutely can have personalities and it's so weird people argue against that. I've had tanks for the majority of my life now and I distinctly remember one fish that loved swimming at high speeds through the tank. He'd jump around, especially at night, but always stopped right before crashing into the glass. He was a joy to have.
I have a platy fish that liked to follow our disabled angelfish around and copy the way he Swam (swim bladder issue), he survived from a baby and didn't really like the other platties. Once the angelfish died, he was scared and we thought he wouldn't make it, but luckily we had bought some other platties after they all died (aka:The angelfish consumed every baby except the one) and he managed to get used to their presence. Now he bullies one that tried to fight him for the females! He is smaller than the other platies but he is the strongest.
perfectly curated content. no excessively epic or loud music. no unnecessary cliff hangers. no excessive sound effects. it just coasts along perfectly. love it.

Best aquatics videos along with the "no filter no co2 betta tank" that uses vegetables and fruit to filter water. I like that you aren't a youtuber in your presentation. You are a storyteller, an artist, and a human. I hate how commercial, formal and disingenuous we've become in youtube videos. This is a wonderful way to present your work, and the music and footage is top notch. Don't change anything and just enjoy the hobby for yourself like you seem to be doing currently!
Your beautiful narration alongside with high quality editing and pinch of humor make these little bucholic videos extremely refreshing and joyful. As a French, I also appreciate the clarity of your diction. Thanks mate!
My guy, this is some of the best aquarium content on this site! I absolutely love how you actually follow the progress of the tank and show us the progress of the ecosystem and all the quirky behaviors of the inhabitants instead of just setting it up and showing us 30 seconds of B-roll at the end. You've made something fantastic here!
This video is so relaxing. Stand out from others on the hobby, because UA-camrs are just trying to explain how everything should be done through your throat. This is just satisfying. Can’t wait to see more content from this channel.
The little noises/faces you made for the fish conversations were so cute and funny! I loved seeing the process of how you made the tank, and also how it grew by itself!
Thank you UA-cam algorithms. I was not even looking for a video of this nature but when I came across it I couldn't resist. I have previously unsubscribed from multiple aquarium related channels and so to find your video was a well needed breath of fresh air. Looking forward to watching all your catalogue! Happily subscribed😊
Love everything about your videos! The close ups, the fish personalities, the little things like the sun shining through the trials and tribulations of making things your own. You done an excellent job on creating a way for viewers to engage with you during the journey.
I've been considering trying aquascaping but i always had this preconception that it had to be big and bold for it to really satisfy me. This video pushed me over the edge, showing it can be small and low maintenance and still shine! Thank you! 🐠 💕

Man I love this channel. As an outsider looking at this hobby, I'm so used to watch more "professional" youtuber like serpadesign and antscanada that have more tools and experience. It's nice seeing people makes mistakes and using the resources they have to full advantage. Seeing you make mistakes and learning from it helps me see the depth and mastery this hobby have. I can only hope the best of lucks in your endeavor. Seeing passionate people improves their craft really makes me happy ❤ P.S love your editing style and dry humour
You really have a knack for making these videos. They flow, make you laugh, tell a story, and manage to leave me feeling calmer and happier by the end. The tanks are beautiful and interesting too. Thank you!
Beautifully produced video showing the highs and lows of producing a wonder environment. love the characterisations given to the inhabitants. It’s almost ASMR!
I requested it and he actually did it! Honestly, such refreshing content considering the aquarium community can be quite monotonous. Even the big channels don't have this style of editing, narration and quirkiness to them
the lil animations / text bubbles and animal crossing sound effects next to the fish make me SO happy 😭 this is beautiful! the was their shadows dance on the desk in the sunlight 🥺 you must get so distracted while working lmao
Im glad you’ve decided to make full quality videos and not just shorts. I could probably watch an hour of this. Keep it up I’ll be waiting for your next video :]
Beyond the many other things I enjoy about this creator, I appreciate the fact they get directly to it without the cliche intro nonsense, and don’t spend the back half of the video begging for money and subs to other platforms, or plugging useless sponsors. The video just starts, gets to the point efficiently and humorously, and then immediately ends. What a breath of fresh air on the platform. Seems the algorithm is rewarding high-quality no-nonsense videos based on this creator’s stats.
Really inspiring to watch how everything came together and also the honesty of it when thing went wrong. But really wonderful that one can create a self-cleaning ecosystem. I used hate cleaning my fish tank when I was a girl - just too much time-consuming work. This system is just so much better! Well done!
I never comment on youtube videos, but needed to let you know that you've quickly become my favourite aquarium creator. As someone who's been out of the hobby a couple years now, your three videos have inspired me to get a tank going again. appreciate the videos big time and looking forward to the next one.
Just love it. You are so creative. In this one my favorite was the voice over convo between the fish. I like that you showed your mistakes and explained why things happened. Beautifully done
If this was on my desk, no work would get done; just like watching this vid, I'd just sit and stare gobsmacked at how beautiful it all is! Great video!
The fact you have OG runescape music player made this even more spectacular than it already was. I love everything about your vid, idea and execution !
The best compliment that i can give this channel is that i dont like aquariums or aquatic fish etc and found this a really enjoyable watch! Great presentation, voice over and i loved the little sound effects for the tanks residents!
I’m not sure if you’ll see this, but your videos are literally addicting, thank you for being in my recommendations and allowing me to enjoy a small piece of what I like to call, the beautiful side of UA-cam.

This is a nice video to take a break from all the noisy ones. Relaxing and makes me chuck a smile every now and then when the cutesy sound come around.
I lobe how you approached building this tank. None of those crazy 50% water changes and overpowered filters people think they need. I’ve got a a 50 gal set up with an incredible amount of plants in there. My favourite fish in there are the killifish that patiently for me to throw pellets at them every now and then. Nothing like a good aquarium to make a room more interesting.
I can't get over the cute little guy who made himself at home on that leaf. He's just happy as anything watching everything go by, it's way too cute.

I love the little Cory that sat on the leaf to sunbathe and watch the world go by. What an interesting lil fella
That's what compelled me to start! I think most channels prefer the speediness of putting up a tank in one day, then filming some results.
This video is so relaxing. Stand out from others on the hobby, because UA-camrs are just trying to explain how everything should be done through your throat. This is just satisfying. Can’t wait to see more content from this channel.
This was the best video I've watched in a long time, I never wanted it to end. Thanks so much for sharing, I was so relaxed and transfixed
The Cory and Gobi hanging out together is so cute, wonderful to see all the critters start feeling really at home in the tank!
Love everything about your videos! The close ups, the fish personalities, the little things like the sun shining through the trials and tribulations of making things your own. You done an excellent job on creating a way for viewers to engage with you during the journey.
I don't think I've ever seen a fish "sit" on a leaf like that before. Really cute!
This guy just inspired me to make my own ecosystem on my desk. Thank you so much dude, keep it up.
That's my #1 goal so thank you for saying so.
+1 on making an ecosystem. 1 old lizard tank is going for a new look!
I've been considering trying aquascaping but i always had this preconception that it had to be big and bold for it to really satisfy me. This video pushed me over the edge, showing it can be small and low maintenance and still shine!
Thank you! 🐠 💕
It's so fun and addicting! I started scaping big jars and now I have a whole collection
@@ApatheticBlogger i can definitely imagine that! I started making terrariums a year ago and have quite the collection. On to the next hobby!!! My house is going to be like traveling the world lol!
Hey, for who wants to know: I have a nano tank now in the same size as the one in the video and just added my first cory's ❤️ thanks so much for the inspiration i am in total love and already suffering from multiple tank syndrome lol.
The sound effects for the fish brought the whole video together. Brilliant.
There is something enchanting about a shallow water aquarium, like you took a slice of a possible creek you know.
I would almost call it a desktop pond
So enjoyable to watch you build and develop this shallow live planted tank. Everything looks so healthy. Great job and video to document!
OSRS music and cool aquariums is something i never knew i needed
Man I love this channel. As an outsider looking at this hobby, I'm so used to watch more "professional" youtuber like serpadesign and antscanada that have more tools and experience. It's nice seeing people makes mistakes and using the resources they have to full advantage. Seeing you make mistakes and learning from it helps me see the depth and mastery this hobby have. I can only hope the best of lucks in your endeavor. Seeing passionate people improves their craft really makes me happy ❤
P.S love your editing style and dry humour
You really have a knack for making these videos. They flow, make you laugh, tell a story, and manage to leave me feeling calmer and happier by the end. The tanks are beautiful and interesting too. Thank you!
this man is what all youtubers should strive to be, just good quality relaxing content
the thing i love most about these videos is the cute sound effects and music mixed with the cutie patootie fishies swimming around
Ive never been more relaxed watching a video. Very well cut and produced
Beautifully produced video showing the highs and lows of producing a wonder environment. love the characterisations given to the inhabitants. It’s almost ASMR!
OSRS music+Fish tanks is probably the perfect combination I never thought could exist.
I requested it and he actually did it! Honestly, such refreshing content considering the aquarium community can be quite monotonous. Even the big channels don't have this style of editing, narration and quirkiness to them
Came here to say that haha
the lil animations / text bubbles and animal crossing sound effects next to the fish make me SO happy 😭 this is beautiful! the was their shadows dance on the desk in the sunlight 🥺 you must get so distracted while working lmao
Seems the algorithm is rewarding high-quality no-nonsense videos based on this creator’s stats.
the corydoras who likes to break off and do their own thing truly is the cutest and must be so fun to watch.
It's always the same one as well! I wonder what it's thinking :)
@@tanksfornothin Probably laughing at you, he seems like a cheeky bastard :)

@@titanoboa1485how do u know it's a boy
@@wiethen I'm sorry I'm not afraid of misgendering a fish for joke, sheeeeesh
Really inspiring to watch how everything came together and also the honesty of it when thing went wrong. But really wonderful that one can create a self-cleaning ecosystem. I used hate cleaning my fish tank when I was a girl - just too much time-consuming work. This system is just so much better! Well done!
I’m so unbelievably attached to that one chill ass cory. I hope it lives a long and wonderful life
I never comment on youtube videos, but needed to let you know that you've quickly become my favourite aquarium creator. As someone who's been out of the hobby a couple years now, your three videos have inspired me to get a tank going again. appreciate the videos big time and looking forward to the next one.
This is my goal so thank you for letting me know.
Keep me updated on your journey :)
That is such a beautiful aquarium and awesome video
Just love it. You are so creative. In this one my favorite was the voice over convo between the fish. I like that you showed your mistakes and explained why things happened. Beautifully done
If this was on my desk, no work would get done; just like watching this vid, I'd just sit and stare gobsmacked at how beautiful it all is! Great video!
as a tank enthusiast, finding this gem when it's just starting to show itself is a treat. I can't wait to see what comes next from you, keep it up!
Thank you for making it here with your kind words
I adore the cute little sounds you put when they are eating and communicating with each other. I just subscribed. Cant wait to see more. I always wanted to get into making terrariums/aquariums and this is not only helpful to see how you make it work but is also relaxing to watch. Thank you for explaining why you do each step and the fish behaviors as well.
Fish youtube desperately needed some new creators! Your planted tanks are gorgeous and your ethos towards them is so refreshing. Keep up the great work! Love from the UK ♥
Cheers very much, I think I'll be sticking closely to this style for a while!
I've watched this video multiple times now, it's a wonderful set up with perfect presentation! Very relaxing and fun to watch, thank you for sharing! No rush on your next video, I hope you have fun and patience with it
This is a nice video to take a break from all the noisy ones. Relaxing and makes me chuck a smile every now and then when the cutesy sound come around.
I can't get over how cute the lil guy chillin on the leaf was!! Thank you for sharing such a fun and interesting video!! Now I want a fish tank...
10:48 I love how the fish speak to each other in Animal Crossing 😊 Seems appropriate
this is one of my favourite videos on UA-cam, was completely encapsulated for the whole 14 minutes
I've never seen aquariums like this. It's so dynamic and interesting.. I've never seen aquariums like this. It's so dynamic and interesting..
