Good review. I have the Z Fold 2 and love it. I don't have a problem with typing on the outer screen. There is no gap between the screens with the case I am using without it adding additional bulk. With GoodLock its a highly customizable and individual phone. I don't find a problem with the crease either visually or when touching the screen. The crease area on the Huawei is wider than the Samsung The X2 is a great phone and your review was good but you can't be using the Fold 2 to its full potential. I say this because you can increase the size of the keyboard. Both handsets have their pros and cons, but the future of foldables is looking more impressive every month now
Nice, informative review as always. I would get this(even without Google Services, as I would just sideload them) as I like the larger outer screen and that it got FANTASTIC cameras unlike the Fold 2. The main barrier and why I won't be getting this is the price, it is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE online($3500+ on eBay) but I am still REALLY IMPRESSED with this and my maybe a few generations ahead I can get this??? 🤔🤔 For now my plan is to get the Fold 2 when the Fold 3 drops and I'll pick it up when it drops to $600-$700. 📱📱🤳🤳❤️❤️❤️❤️
I owned the zfold2 last year..it a good phone, but it kinda weird on 6.2 aspect ratio..looking at the X2 ,damn that the fold phone im been waiting for..sadly no google😩

Not that I can afford either, but does the mate x2 come with any REPLACABLE inside screen protector? if no that'd be a huge deal breaker. z folds have a samsung/replacable screen protector. heck some say you can even replace it at home
Don't even bother. It is way too complicated. Soon, next month, Huawei will push upgrade Harmony OS 2.0 for all major devices. It's time to officially say goodbye to Google, but not a goodbye to Android, since Harmony OS will be backward compatible with Android apps.
Honestly the fold phones are great! That said everyone is dropping the ball the number 1 seller is the price I honestly would have made these 1,000 with the first gen models then moved price up🤷 I can picture a new phone company starting with a $700 fold phone and taking most of the fold market lol mark my words
No one's done a thorough review on Royale Flexpai 2. It folds out to 8 inchs. Folds in thinner than Z fold. Just wider but still can hold with one hand. And screen is outside but it's durable plastic screen makes it crack proof.
The screen ratio was made to watch the Snyder Cut. Annoys me when I see people complaining about "black bards". it's a nonissue and you already have a bigger than normal screen to watch.
Widevine l1 ? Very nice to see for a huawei device since the ban ! (i had a matepad pro and it did not have L1 which was a shame given the insane display)

REALLY IMPRESSIVE
I owned the zfold2 last year..it a good phone, but it kinda weird on 6.2 aspect ratio..looking at the X2 ,damn that the fold phone im been waiting for..sadly no google😩
you dont really need google, if you use your head.

Amazing video bro
👍🏻
Great review as usual Chris!
Are you planning to review Samsung Galaxy M62/A72 4G?
Best review as always!
Great detailed video
Any chance to see Black Shark 4 review .
Hope you can review Xiaomi Mi Laptop Pro 15 when it's available. Thanks
Maybe I did buy the Redmibook 14 i5 with MX450
hopefully these will be mainstream in 5 years
Oh they will be very mainstream. Apple will invent the foldable phone this year or next so not just Android!
@@Techtablets I doubt that they will so soon, maybe in 3 years but not anytime soon. Still excited that new form factors are being explored after nearly all phones looking the same.
Interesting. Thanks.
Thx for the review! excellent stuff!I was about to buy the x2,but....no!The camera killed my excitement! rather wait for the next model!thx again
Am I in a very small minority for wishing that smaller phones would make a comeback?
Looking at the low sales of the iPhone 12 mini, I don't think it'll happen.
I'd honestly love to get 150g phones again, but it seems 200g is gonna keep on being the standard 😥.
Light weight big screen is what we want
One of the best channels
Planning on the Mi Fold review?
Nope. Decided against it not enough interest to justify spending that much.
@@Techtablets Fair enough. Keep up the good work bud. Just one more reply if you can, I've watched soo many of your recent reviews that the sound test track is in my head and I need to what it is please! :) Love from UK
Not that I can afford either, but does the mate x2 come with any REPLACABLE inside screen protector? if no that'd be a huge deal breaker. z folds have a samsung/replacable screen protector. heck some say you can even replace it at home
Yes it has one on it or mine did at least.
@@Techtablets ooh what happened to it?
The square look seems to fit any entertainment use, not only web browsing. i'd compromise any disadvantages if the price is competitive.
Is there a way to install Google service and Gapps on this phone?
Don't even bother. It is way too complicated. Soon, next month, Huawei will push upgrade Harmony OS 2.0 for all major devices. It's time to officially say goodbye to Google, but not a goodbye to Android, since Harmony OS will be backward compatible with Android apps.
@@ericliume harmony os as been proven to be a reskinned android
Can I buy this from you? @TechTablets
are huawei planning on doing a global release of the mate x2?
Music name on 19:35 please anyone?
It's so good, I want to hear the full version one..
Honestly the fold phones are great! That said everyone is dropping the ball the number 1 seller is the price I honestly would have made these 1,000 with the first gen models then moved price up🤷 I can picture a new phone company starting with a $700 fold phone and taking most of the fold market lol mark my words
I honestly love your channel and wish you the best, because it's one of the most professional out there.
Thank you so much 😀
Wow 😍 the Huawei is gorgeous!! Any idea how someone living outside China can get one? And pricing information in Malaysia or Australia?
In China it cost 20298RMB~$3100
Nice sample but dies no good for the masses who use Google Services.
No one's done a thorough review on Royale Flexpai 2. It folds out to 8 inchs. Folds in thinner than Z fold. Just wider but still can hold with one hand. And screen is outside but it's durable plastic screen makes it crack proof.
Love the review and the phone, thanks teeck teeblets
The screen ratio was made to watch the Snyder Cut.
Annoys me when I see people complaining about "black bards". it's a nonissue and you already have a bigger than normal screen to watch.
😂 for the Snyder cut. I was only pointing it out. I watch movies and tv series etc on my larger TV so never bothers me
Widevine l1 ? Very nice to see for a huawei device since the ban ! (i had a matepad pro and it did not have L1 which was a shame given the insane display)
You might need to review Mi Mix Fold also before buying the Mate X2 :-)
Please huawei desk mode are available? Thanks
Hi yes it is
Thought i am a xiaomi fan but i am not exited for the mi mix fold , it seems from the videos that it is alot inferior to the Hwawei one .
this phone looks amazing..foldable phones have always been a dream for me but they are so expensive...need to wait
Look into the Xiaomi fold or used zfold 2, this Huawei one is way overpriced
