-Our Intro Song "Feel the Love" From Alex's band
open.spotify.com/album/4Dao8y... - Фільми й анімація
Back checking out Bob Seger!! What’s one of his earlier rockers we gotta hit?! Also ABBEY ROAD has been HIT over on Patreon, another amazing month, cheers all, have a great rest of your Monday!! 🙌🏻🔥
Rock n roll never forgets
Main St
Katmandu
His earliest hit was Bo Diddley or Rambling gambling Man (that has a young 18-year-old Glenn Frey from the eagles doing backup) 🎧🎤🎤😎
Like A Rock (hits you in the feels, but even more so when you’re older like me!)
Main Street! Still The Same!
It's not early but 'Her Strut' is a banger.
PSA: Do not listen while driving or you’ll be over 100 mph without even noticing it
Facts!, brother! Facts!
SO TRUE! I don't drive, but as a passenger, I always want the driver to go faster. 🔥🔥
This is why there is cruise control. It's a gas pedal, not a high-hat.
@@invisibledooley technically the gas pedal is the kick drum and my turn signal is the high hat, crash cymbal is the rear view mirror, but I get what you’re saying 😂
I'm pretty sure if you get pulled over you can just say "Bob Segar" and you won't get a ticket. This may only work here in Canada though.
It's a scientifically proven fact that one cannot listen to Hollywood Nights and maintain posted speed limits simultaneously 😁
Pink Floyd's "One of these days" has earned me a ticket…
@0:55 watching Andy awkwardly try and drop ILLUMINATI sybolism into the video is pathetic
IF you continue to do this i will unsub from your channel in a heartbeat
(seeing as your entire country is owned by the ILLUMINATI (goverment, all media oulets, TV, radio, films, sports, music, industry, from your dollar bill through to buildings) it's no surprise that you have just started doing this in your videos.
@@johnblacksmith9505 first of all, how fucking dare you disrespect the music of Bob Seger this way. Secondly, stop riding the coattails of everyone else's comments with your delusional conspiracy theory paranoia. Make your own godamn post about it if you must. Lastly, if that's the kind of stupid bullshit you're gonna spew around here, we would all encourage and welcome you choosing to unsubscribe.
@@jamesdignanmusic2765 😳 Now, there's a trippy song to be flying down the freeway to...(wupwupwupwupwupwupwup..) 😵 lol
I got pulled for speeding while listening to Bat out of Hell. Meatloaf. One of my favorite singers. I looked down I was doing 75 in a 55. Good Times.
Lost my license for speeding in "79, ripping down the highway in my '68 Firebird, listening to "Hollywood Nights". Cop said he clocked me at 144 mph. Good times.
One of the very best "drive too fast" tunes....Another one is Radar Love by Golden Earring
I sure hope you still have that '68 Firebird!
"He knew right then he was too far from home." Sends chills up my spine. "Then came the morning he woke up alone" It does not get better than Bob Seger!
Fantastic lyrics. Also She had been born with a face that would let her get her way…
These three lines set up the ending perfectly.
He spent all night staring down at the lights of LA, wondering f if he could ever go home.
Heartbreaking really.
Those galloping drums. If you’re not paying attention, & the road is open, you’re doing 85 without even realizing it.
I always come back to this Song! Whatever mood your in.Feeling down this Song life you up!
Ramblin' Gamblin Man is a BANGER of BANGERS!
A much grittier, harder rocking song for sure
Sally Phillips with A very young Glen Fry on harmony!
Please do the version from Live Bullet. In fact, just do live bullet sometime.
Have to agree, please play some music from his Live Bullet Album.....phenomenal. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band rock
Rambling Gambling man was the first song I heard from him
No one tells a story like Bob Seger.
You’re actually in the moment with him.
wow I never saw it that way you are exactly right
I love Bob Segar, but there are some other great story telling song writers...Here's a few.
Paul Simon ~ "Late In The Evening"
Harry Chapin ~ "Taxi"
Dan Fogelberg ~ "Same Ole Lang Syne"
Couldn’t agree more. The two they just reviewed, turn the page, like a rock, we’ve got tonight. There are others to I can’t think of right now
@@2869may Bob Dylan - Entire catalogue.
For some reason they just don't catch the meaning of songs right off the bat. They are more into the music. Me, I here the story. They even say this in this video. I remember hearing this song thinking poor guy, just got his heart BROKE!!
As a Midwestern boy who fell in love with a Cali girl, this gives me the exact feeling I get when I think of her. Its beyond my favorite Seger song by far
We've got Tonight, Why don't you stay.... Tears your heart out... He is a one of a kind singer, songwriter, instrumentalist...and my hero!
Man.... You guys are starting to get why we feel we were SOOOO lucky to grow up to this music. And yes, definitely proud of you guys for the callback to Thorogood!
I was not into Bob Seger till I heard 'Katmandu'. Such a fun song and he really shows his vocal range.
I haven't noticed anyone else recommend that song, so I will. High energy. It rocks. And it's fun when he sings 'Ka ka ka ka Katmandu!'
Total yes to “Katmandu” (live version, preferably) and also suggest “Rock and Roll Never Forgets” from the “Night Moves” album.
Yes Its my Fave
Absolutely the live version. Good call!
A must for a Seger fan.
People heard Katmandu and said "Wow, this guy can rock." Then, they backed up to Turn the Page and said "Wow, this guy can write." The rest is history......
Andy: " this reminds me of Rush..." No, Andy - Rush reminds you of Seger.
Nah. I don’t hear it. And they are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Rush = unusual vocals and more-is-more musical arrangements
Seger = stunning vocals and spare arrangements
I guess what’s more important is that both worked their butts off for a long time, and both opened for KISS. 🤣
@Ms. Chuck
I mentioned the tone paired with those open chords had a resemblance to The Spirit or Radio from Rush, I didn’t compare them in the spectrum you’re referring too lol
This guy's lyrics resonates to people's souls, Bob never got the credit he deserved but if you know Seger's music it's timeless it means more to me now because it's about reflection and introspection. Old time rocknroll is so true for me.
Rock and roll never forgets. ✌🏽
Ramblin' Gamblin' Man is the early cut to check out for sure. Classic late 60's banger. Best track of the album that it's named after.
Judging by their live stream reaction to Lucifer, they will like Ramblin' Gamblin' Man.
And listen for Glen Fry singing background vocals..., well before he formed the Eagles.
The Bob Seger System
A good older tune would be "Katmandu".
EDIT: The version on the "Live Bullet" album.
Yes especially the live version
@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN Edited comment to include this - thanks!
Only one choice for his 'earlier rocker' - Ramblin' Gamblin' Man.
*I'll be danged* - If Alex doesn't look like he's Bob Seger's road son.
I had to show my wife, I thought the exact same thing.
Wow. You're right.
Nailed it!
Just died laughing at this 😂
Wow I can see it.
Great song! Next...Rock and Roll Never Forgets, The Fire Down Below, Feel Like a Number
Segar, "Her Strut" is a good one if you aren't familiar.
Strippers song 👍
No yhats one of the lamest
Yeah that's a decent one to do.
Also "Fire Down Below"!
They do respect her butt....
If you haven't done it yet, "Roll Me Away" should be your next Seger song.
Love how you break down the technical aspects of the songs, no one else does it so thoroughly! Wish you could have seen him perform in the 70's. He killed it every single show. His concerts were the kind where everyone was up rocking, singing and dancing the whole time. You didn't need a chair!
“Turn the Page” should be your next Bob Seger song. You’ll love how the saxophone sets the mood!
Already done. That was their first reaction to him. You should watch it. Great reaction.
They did that, as I recall.
Here ya go:
ua-cam.com/video/1sye8njlBQc/v-deo.html
Definitely his best... and all of his songs are EXCELLENT
Bob Seger had and still has that voice. His band was always top-notch and tight.
The Swampers from Muscle Shoals AL
Silver Bullet Band live but a lot of the studio stuff was cut at Muscle Shoals in Alabama with the legendary Swampers

Roll Me Away is my atf Seger song. It's a must listen. Another story telling. Y'all do a great job. Always fun to watch! Keep on rocking!!!
I'm from Traverse City, Roll me Away is my ATF also!
The music the piano is beautiful
While it's not a banger, Like a Rock is an amazing song. Listen to it, sit back and reminisce about days gone by.
Oh hell yeah it's a banger
Bob Seeger is just Alex with bigger mustache goals
How about “Roll me Away” a motorcycle riding song.
I think they listened to this one all ready.
@@deloresdunbar1464 nope. Jamel did but not A&A.
That's also my favorite!
@@patrickq7489 Ok I knew someone did.
Seconded
"against the wind","fire lake","shame on the moon","like a rock","her strut","come to papa" and many more classics by Bob Seger ☮️
Cause you might fall asleep
Love shame on the moon
Bruce Springsteen called Seger and wanted to know how to write a hit song. Obviously Bob gave The Boss some great tips. You can hear Seger in Bruce's music.
When you match Bob Seger up with The Silver Bullet Band, no one else compares. You need to do the whole “Live Bullet” album, guys. Seriously. You won’t be disappointed. And what a treat it will be for the rest of us!
I've tried to get other reactors to react to that whole album...best live album ever made...IMO
I listened to Live Bullet on vinyl so many times I'm surprised I didn't wear it out
@@sandraquinn8969 I had 8 or 9 live bullet albums on 8 track and about that many on Cassette!
Seger is such a great lyrisist; he really knows how to evoke a time and place.
True that. Night Moves is like an artist painting a picture.
Yes, not only a fantastic lyricist, but there is always a lot of humanity in the stories he tells with his music.

John Blacksmith. What size is your tin foil hat?
Ramblin' Gamblin' Man.... one of my favorite songs.
Guys I've been begging everybody to do a live version of Kathmandu but no one seems to want to touch it I know Andy and Alex could rock hard to it
Try 'Roll Me Away' and 'Shame On the Moon' among many, many great songs!
Shame On The Moon is one of my favorite tracks from him. Even when he covers someone else's song he makes it his.
Great song! You should listen to: Come to Papa, Beautiful Loser, Main Street, Get out of Denver, Ramblin Gamblin Man, Heavy Music. Thanks guys keep rockin
Come to Poppa is my fav.
"Traveling Man"/"Beautiful Loser" from Live Bullet is an absolute must. It's technically two songs, but for decades they have almost always been played as a single song both on the radio and in concert, and that's how it should be reacted to as well. That should definitely be your next one.
Definitely my favorites
Saw him in El Paso in 1976 absolutely without doubt best concert I've been to! I can still see his sax player Alto Reed on top of the speakers wailing away!!!
“Ramblin’ Gamblin’”man for sure, “Her Strut”, “Sunspot Baby”, “Fire Down Below”, all rockers and all GOOD tunes!!!
Great choices 👍

Thank you 😊
Sunspot Baby is my Favorite or the fire down below
@@wendyreveyoso3731
I don’t know if I have a favorite. He has so many good songs.
Sunburst
For earlier Bob, DO "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man." Especially the live version from the "Live Bullet" album.
Anything from Live Bullet...
This is def the version I prefer. BANGER x100. 🔥🔥
Heavy Music is a banger too. Live or studio version..one of his older songs
LIVE BULLET is my all time favorite album.
Seger tells amazing stories through his music; his songs created sooo many memories for my generation... spilled over from our parents' 70s music, into the 80s, and became ours. Seger over Springsteen any day.
“Katmandu” If you want to hear Bob unleash!!
"The chorus just came into my head; I was driving around in the Hollywood Hills, and I started singing 'Hollywood nights/Hollywood hills/Above all the lights/Hollywood nights.' I went back to my rented house, and there was a Time Magazine with Cheryl Tiegs on the cover...I said 'Let's write a song about a guy from the Midwest who runs into someone like this and gets caught up in the whole bizarro thing.'" ~Bob Seger~
I would love Main Street next please.
Thanks for sharing this. Love hearing artists speak about the genesis of their songs...songs I love so much!
@@davebramble2444 No problem, I saw Bob in concert at the Louisville Summer Jam in Kentucky back in 1980 and it was one of the best concerts I had ever been to, Bob has been one of my favorite artists for almost all of my life!!! Stay safe and take care, peace and love.
@@michellerichardson6135 Bob Seger is a national treasure.
@@davebramble2444 I agree wholeheartedly!!!
This is great. The woman in the lyrics cna also be a personification of Hollywood, its allure, and the danger in this.
That epic off-beat drum beat just drives the song. Relentless from beginning to end. And the female background vocals are underrated.
"Feel Like a Number" "Til it Shines" "Come to Papa" All different style, all bangers
Come To Papa is a must listen!
They have listened to turn the page.
Saw him in 1979. One of the best straight american rock concert I've ever seen
He sells out a ridiculous number of shows back to back here in Michigan.
@@christinegilbert1078 Back in the 70's San Antonio was all about Rock and Roll and I remember Detroit being a Rock mecca. He wore the exact clothes you see in the videos, at the concert I went to.
Bob Seger is like a Rock-n-Roll preacher to me, his voice has always given me goose bumps.
Seger is a unique story teller. He has the ability to put you right there with him, seeing what he sees and feeling what he's feeling.
Seger always makes me think of old girlfriends and bad decisions.
SpaceDogBones
Those are the two main subjects when writing a classic Rock " n Roll song. I could make my fortune as I've had my share of both( especially the latter) !
Beautiful Loser makes me think of old boyfriends. : )
Heee
Same
Funny how that works both ways with Seger's songs. 😆 Good times. Good times.
Seger’s live cover of “Nutbush City Limits”...it is a rocker....
It REALLY is. I think I like Bobs version at least as well if not better than Tina Turners original. And she does an excellent job with his “Fire Down Below”
I like the idea of back to back react
1)The original by Ike and Tina Turner
2) Bob's excellent cover
Both so good how can you do one without the other?
@@itzel1735 Didn't they use that song in the film "The Rose" with Bete Milder?
Essentially the Janis Joplin story.
YAAAAAAASSSS!!!
He saw that face and lost all control...that hits home.
Sunspot Baby - Her Strut - Anything off Live Bullet
Please, please please ... react to Bob Seger, Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser from the Live Bullet album. You'll love it!
Yeah , the best by far .
Man you gotta heat Main Street. My favorite Seger song ever!
Agreed.
Wow this is the best day in Andy & Alex history!
Van, Beatles and Seger! Right on!!
Need to listen to Bob Segar "We've Got Tonight", one of the greatest songs ever !
“We’ve Got Tonight” is , to me, the absolute best Bob Seger song, and one of the best songs all time
Now that Im older Against The Wind really hits hard.
@@johndef5075 that’s a great song as well. I’m old as well, and love most of his catalog
That song is BEAUTIFUL!
Kenny Rogers did a great cover of that with Sheena Easton in the 80s. I agree with Against the Wind, definitely applies more the older you get.
Sung by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. But, no one can sing Seger’s version. Seger is always A+. Put on his greatest hits album and turn out the lights, close your eyes and imagine.
But that lyric: He knew right then he was too far from home
There at least one line in every song, isn't there?
'Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then
"With autumn closing in
"You pretend it doesn't bother you but you just want to explode
"when I'm feeling lonely and beat, I drift back in time
"I feel the traces they've left on my soul
"All of my hopes fading away
"Aint afraid to look a girl in the eye
"And pretty soon my heart was singing
"And you realize you just can't have it all
"The ashes smouldering the warmth's soon gone
"I held firmly to what I felt was right
*sigh*
Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band Travellin' Man & Beautiful Loser LIVE. One of his best ever!!!
So many great Seger songs to choose from. My favorite is Roll Me Away.
"Get out of Denver" Live by Bob Seger; short and rockin', and I'd love to see you go over those lyrics
Pro Tip. Next Bob Seger song - listen to the lyrics-not the ride cymbal
Still the Same, Feel Like a Number, Against the Wind, Ramblin Man, Mainstreet... and So Many More Great Segar Songs ))) ))) )))
'Feel Like a Number': great choice. One of my all time favorites.
In the late 70's when my friends and I partied in bars it seemed like every other song played on the bar jukebox was a Bob Seger tune. This one is my favorite from that era.
I totally agree that this sounds like a progression from Night Moves. He was a midwestern boy "out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy", and thought it would be a good idea to go west. Then he was blinded by the beauty of the California girls and their diamonds and frills. He lost sight of everything and just wanted to get home.
Alright, alright. alright...now this is a Seger banger.
Bob Seger had me at "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man!"
I saw Bob and the Boys 5 times in my life… every single show kicked major ass !! Man those were some good days !!!
You guys love his gritty voice, his banger tunes, the nostalgia, and the pure rock n roll?
Then, the only choice you have for the next tune is..."Rock n Roll Never Forgets" period.
Seger's voice is like a midwestern Rod Stewart. Gritty, earthy, grounded.
His lyrics are like a more romantic Bruce Springsteen.
Good comparison.
@Rodzilla Same for "Get Out of Denver".
@@sjw5797 Live though!
But again the commercial song sad what a and a are reacting to
To me Bruce Springsteen is overrated. I'd listen to (mostly) anything than Springsteen.
Next... hmmm maybe "Fire Lake", "Her Strut", or maybe "Betty Lou's Gettin' Out Tonight"
Bob Segar. Roll me away. And like a rock 🙏❤️🙏🙄🙏
Stranger In Town was such a great album. Not only this one but also Old Times Rock n Roll and We've Got Tonight. And yes, Bob's voice is THE instrument.
My favorite Seger song has always been Rock n Roll Never Forgets.
Please note that the snare drum figure mimics the sound of expansion joints when driving on a highway. Who thinks of this stuff? That’s why they play and we listen.
@Steve Narrows - I have had that image in my head too, since around 1980
@@mikewoodrow5878 You weren’t wrong. I heard that in an interview more years ago than I’d like to admit.
One of the best rock songs ever
Ramblin Gamblin Man, Her Strut, Katmandu are all serious bangers that put your spirits up high. If you can't get into those songs, you might need to check your pulse
"Her Strut" "Fire Down Below" "We've Got Tonight" must plays...
Andy will be in tears by the end of We Got Tonight
@@heatherk1200 Throw a little "Shame On The Moon" in there top him off.
Great early Seger rocker - “GET OUT OF DENVER”.
"Cause you look just like a commie and you might just be a member."
Our ‘60 Cadillac was runnin’ thru Nebraska whinin’
Just suggested that too!!
First of all there isn't a bad Seger song. He's just amazing.
Keep in mind that for years he was a regional artist in the Michigan area. He had a little success in '69 with Ramblin Gamblin Man but didn't break big nationally until Night Moves in '76. I know that you wanted something earlier than Night Moves but you've already done Turn the Page which was from '73.
If you do anything prior to Night Moves, check to see if it's on his "Live Bullet" album. If so, do the version from Live Bullet. That is one of the greatest live albums ever.
Everything on there tops the studio version.
My recommendation would be the one that many others have suggested - Roll Me Away. It's a very powerful song, great lyrics and amazing vocals. I'd also suggest that you do the official video for it so that you can see Seger deliver the song.
Seger's got a ton of hits, but if you want a deep cut then try "The Fire Inside". It's a lesser known song that was included on his first Greatest Hits album. Fantastic lyrics and tremendous vocals. The official video for this one is very good too.
If you just want to listen for fun, try "Making Thunderbirds". It's less than 3 minutes long but it rocks. Get Out of Denver (from Live Bullet) is always fun. Just the fact that he can sing that many words in 3 and a half minutes is incredible.
I'm partial to "Her Strut" and one others seem to have forgotten, "Still the Same"
More Bob! Roll Me Away is a good one. Also should check out John Mellencamp... Another good songwriter
"Main Street" would be a good choice for your next Bob Seger song. It's a different kind of sound than what you have heard so far, though in terms of feel I would liken it to "Night Moves", in that it is very nostalgic. It has some really interesting guitar work, and I will leave you with this one additional tease -- it is a song that nearly every exotic dancer featured in her act during the late '70s. Listen to it to find out why!
Agreed.
Another great story song by Seger. She had been born with a face that would let her get away. What a fantastic line, about how a beautiful woman can entice you and lose yourself in her.Just a great song.
That was my husband... Being a gorgeous guy gave him way to much... including me. Lol
Bob Seger always throws me down memory lane. Love it! Try "Someday You'll Accompany Me." Seger is a storyteller. On a side note, Alex the flannel shirt suits you.
Love that song, been looking through the comments. You are the first person I have seen request it. Hope they get more requests for it!
@@emefrench8984 Underrated song. Happy to find someone else that appreciates it.
I don't know if you want it next, but definitely put it on the list: "Traveling Man/Beautiful Loser" from the Live Bullet album. An impeccable live track.
absoFUCKINGlutley
I think I have watched your Night Moves reaction a bunch of times. One of you guys best. Roll me Away is my favorite Seger song.
John Cougar Melencamp has similar bangers in a similar style.
Just the pure joy that Seger brings to these young mens' faces makes me feel young again...thank you for that!
First concert I went to at age 17- Bob Seger. Last concert I saw was two years ago- Bob Seger. I believe he was 72. I'm from Detroit so I've been lucky enough to listen to him for over 40 years. So many songs for you to get to...
Love the recent upgrades to the “Freedom Shack” and to the video quality, you guys have come a long way
@Nathaniel Campbell
Thanks man we try to improve just a little bit every time we meet up! Cheers! 🔥
Excellent choice! Next should be "Fire Lake", which features backing vocals by three members of The Eagles.
EDIT: I went to California in 2007 for a family reunion. Those beaches and those roads are exactly as Bob Seger describes in this song. Highway 1, the Pacific Coast Highway, literally follows the curves of the coastline.
Yep. The edge of a continent. I feel truly blessed (not to be cheesy) to live in this amazing state
How can a song miss with opening lyrics like this: Who's goin' to ride that chrome 3-wheeler?
Who's goin' to make that first mistake
Who wants to wear those gypsy leathers
All the way to Fire Lake.
For Bob Seger, Every story had a tail to tell and he was superb at delivering them!
No one tells a story better then Bob Seger, greatest, singer, songwriter, & Live performer of all time
Shocking! Another great song by "The Man," Bob Seger. So many great songs from this guy.
Rambling Gambling Man should be next - definitely! It's interesting that you talk about him developing over two years since Night Moves. RGM was his first hit single, and it was 10 full years before Hollywood Nights. Bob was a touring veteran by the time Hollywood Nights came out - a real road warrior. Interesting fact: Glen Frey of the Eagles was a good friend of Bob's and he appeared on RGM in '68. Personal favorites that I'd love to see you guys check out: Main Street, Traveling Man/Beautiful Loser (live version from Live Bullet - same album as Turn the Page). Against the Wind is another awesome song. Seger is a great American storyteller - and very underrated by some. Glad you guys are enjoying!
Fun fact: when he wrote this he was renting a place in Hollywood Hills and there was a magazine in the coffee table with Cheryl Tiegs on he cover. She was quintessential Cali girl so the ‘girl’ in the song is inspired by her! (So yes Andy, it was a blonde that inspired him... and he mentions her blue eyes, which can go with other hair colors but usually blondes)
Cheryl Tiegs was the first woman I ever kept a picture of from a magazine when I was a kid.
"Turn the Page"
"Against the Wind"
"Strut"
Can't go wrong with these Bob Seger songs!
okay boys - I am drinking and putting our Christmas tree up and we decided to listen to Bob Seger Live Bullet. You guys really do need to listen to Travelin Man / Beautiful Loser from Live Bullet. Such awesome music. Hubs and I saw Bob live last year and we are so freaking grateful for the opportunity.
You need to do "Roll Me Away". Great tune!
Been trying for this one for many months. I hope they get to it. It's one of his best. If you haven't seen it already, check out the video on you-tube posted by Elaine 8492. It's just still shots of female bikers. I love that video. My older brother had a beautiful girlfriend in the 70's who rode a Harley Davidson (rare in those days) and man, I just thought she was the coolest 26 year old I had ever seen. Every time I watch that video I think of her. The Official video of this song is great too. :)
I definitely recommend you do Her Strut. I can’t see you NOT loving it, with its unique sounds!
Bob Seger is a master storyteller! This is one of his best!
