-Our Intro Song "Feel the Love" From Alex's band
open.spotify.c...
Always a great time when we’re checking out some more Bob Seger!!! And one of his rockers?! Even better!! What are other one’s we gotta hit from him?! 🙌🏻🔥
Song is heard, graded,
in copyright Livestream,
a moment, then gone.
(Matsuo Bashō : Haiku : 1669)
Come To Poppa is a must!
Bob Seger Get Out of Denver would be another great Bob Seger song to check out from 1974
Main Street is his one single best song, but it's not of the esteemed "banger" category. It might bore the shit out of you guys, but us geezers get it 100%.
Live is better with Seger, always. Best live act back in the day. Certified banger and a slash song (which is always a crowd pleaser) Travelin Man / Beautiful Loser from Live Bullet. It's an absolute must!
You guys will like "Her Strut".
I couldn't say how many times I watched women strut to that song.
Add Joe Cocker's "You Can Leave Your Hat On" to that list
Yes! Definitely Her Strut
they do respect her but
@@mrheem44 They love to watch HER strut!
"Ain't good looking, but you know I ain't shy."
Favorite line in the song
"Strut" is a rocking banger also "The Fire down below" Bob can Rock!!!
Strut is one of my favorites, Fire Lake as well.
@@TheInfurnos two of my favorites also!
This 👆
Yes, these two songs, plus Come To Papa.
One of my favorites is "Come to Papa". Banger!
I moved to Michigan nearly twenty-one years ago, and when I hit the state line, they handed me my complementary copy of Live Bullet.
Nice. In Florida we had to buy it. I've had the vinyl, 8-track and CD versions throughout the years.
As it should be..
I'm 21, lived in Michigan my whole life and you literally learn about Bob Seger in the school textbooks. By the time I was 13, I was handed my first record player and was given "Night Moves" and my journey began. I've seen Bob live 4 times and met his entire Silver Bullet Band. Bob Seger is THE culture of Michigan lol
As a life-long Michigander of a certain age, if you don't have this album, you're living in the wrong state. 😂
Lol
“The Bob Seger System”
Very cool song and now, more than 50 years old. We had it so good back then.
The medley of "Travelin Man / Beautiful Loser" from the LIVE Bullet album should be your next Seger.....
^^^^ I've been lobbying for this for a while
I've been begging for this for a long time.
Best Seger tune ever is here.......Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser Live
Exactly what I was going to say.
these are good songs apart but when combined the way they did it is unforgettable
I'm sure you guys are aware of the fact that most artists best songs are NOT the ones that were radio hits. "Feel Like a Number" is a flat out banger with incredible lyrics. It has to be next. Trust me on this one. You will not be disappointed!
I recently danced like no one was watching to this song. Long story short, my court date is pending. But I'm feeling better, and the bandages are coming off soon.
Please post the video!
Would love to see it.
And these guys could do a reaction too.
WIN WIN!!!
This is the best comment I have EVER SEEN!!!
@@marshabrown2561 Pic or didn't happen, right? This is only slightly and jokingly true ;)
@@susanklasinski1805 Next time, let me know and I'll have bail money at the ready
@@mischiefmanaged444 ❤️
"Ain't good-lookin' but y'know I ain't shy..." ---that's the kind of guy I LIKE.
OK, this is good, HOWEVER...
you just need to do a "Live Bullet" full album reaction at Patreon. DO IT!
Do it. I hv to get on that Patreon. I don't want to, sick of making accounts. But for this channel, I may.
And I know you have at least one copy of Live Bullet. I wonder if Mr Seger would do a bit of an interview. I know he’s retired, but would like what little concert footage is around to get out where we and young people can see them.
100%
Live Bullet is the GOAT live album imo
👍 yes
Dudes!!! This kick-ass banger took me back to my freshman year in college at Kent State (1977) when we played the Silver Bullet Band Live album (and especially this song) relentlessly! If you haven't already checked out the other song in this medley, Beautiful Loser, you MUST. Another great one off this album is Katmandu - it will kick your butts.
Live Bullet is one of the best albums ever made. The breakdown interludes that Seger makes are priceless... "I was reading Rolling Stone, where they said Detroit audiences are the greatest rock'n'roll audiences in the world...Shit! I've known that for ten years!!"
Lived in Ann Arbor listening to his musical genius when his band was Bob Seger System..love him
Known that for 50 yrs.
“We’ve got the 16 track tape machine rolling out back. If you sign with me, I can’t guarantee it, but you just might end up on an album”!
And the crowd goes wild...
Yep, the Rolling Stone mention happened during Nutbush City Limits. Bob snarls pretty good in this one
He'll he says it right in the middle of the album.
Guys, this song has been around for a longgg time... 1969..you guys should look up the video... Bob is on the Keyboards... It's my FAVORITE SONG FROM BOB SEGER... Thanks for airing it on YT...
Try Katmandu off Live Bullet. It rocks in a similar way to this one.
YES!!
I second that motion.
Kkkakakkatmandu!
THIS ALL DAY!!!!
Agreed!!!!
KNEW you would dig it. My FAVORITE Bob Seger song. Memories of late 70s and early 80s, $2.00 pitchers, dancing, SOOOO much fun!! Those were the days......!!!
Her Strut.... i shouldn’t need to say anything else...
Check out - Come to Papa and Her Strut....they weren't played on radio much, but they are both rockers!!
"Where do we go next with Bob Seger?" So many options; Katmandu, Get Out of Denver, Nutbush City Limits, Fire Down Below, all can't miss "bangers."
LIVE VERSIONS
Oh yeah Katmandu is a banger for sure
You'll never be able to hear the word Katmandu again without singing it.
In that order would be great!
Kathmandu and Nutbush
Nice! I have to give Alex an 'S' for his reaction. Love this song. A+ for sure. Next one you have to do is "Travelin' Man/ Beautiful Loser" live from 'Live Bullet', another A+ and Andy will be happier with the vocals. Cheers Gents!
Strut next. Banger for sure...plus, I just Loooove hearing that man say my name! 😍
Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser from LIVE Bullet must be heard, notice it has the apostrophe and is a slash "double" banger
Great song choice!! Seger is always top notch. "Rock And Roll Never Forgets", and "Katmandu" and "Nutbush
City Limits", I could go on....but you get the picture.❤
Nutbush
@@ChrisLawton66 oops, thankyou.
Damn, I forgot Nutbush when I recommended Katmandu. You're so right. I also wish they'd put on Feel Like A Number.
Yes, he does a great rendition of Nutbush City Limit. Good song choices, all.
My oldest brother, who is 62, brought home this Seger album when it came out. I have loved Seger for that friggin' (apostrophe) long.
Rock and Roll Never Forgets. A must!
Travelin' Man/ Beautiful Loser medley from Live Bullet is the one you gotta do when you can.
!!!!!!!!!!!! "SUNSPOT BABY" and "FIRE DOWN BELOW" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bob’s live shows and albums are legendary, so when he’s got a track on an album that sounds like a live, unrehearsed version, you know you are in for a treat! 🙂❤️
Bob Seger is my favorite singer, songwriter and storyteller ever. Try"come to papa","her strut","travelin man/ beautiful loser","Katmandu","Betty Lou's getting out tonight" are a few rockers. "Shame on the moon","famous final scene","like a rock","fire lake" are a few great ballads ☮️
Really something when an artist's best song is his first one!
"You can keep your funky world,
See ya 'round......"
Katmando and Feel Like A Number are classic bangers from Bob & the band.
Saw him in Detroit in 2015. He played this near the end & it was amazing. Was like stepping into a time machine & walking into a VFW hall in the summer of 1968.
Such a fun song - a Michigan BANGER! 🎧🤘🥁
Bob Seger is my parents favorite singer songwriter I remember my parents going to his concerts when i was a young man. Back in the day 80's and 90's the parents loved this band they even went to Toronto before Bob came to Buffalo N.Y. where we live! Seger is a great singer/songwriter super underrated!
These videos are like the experience of having a friend listen to a song you like and watching for his reaction. I wonder what other addictive social experiences the internet is gonna allow us to simulate. It’s really cool.
FINALLY! My fave Seger tune. I asked for it and you delivered. Thanks guys!
Before making it bigtime, he played this . . . at my wife's high school prom, in '73. Before I met her. If we'd have only known!!! We live literally "standing in the shadows of Motown" Detroit less than a hundred miles from here. Pretty much a local legend. FF to three years go, I got to play on one of the stages he'd play on back then at a modest sized club. Along with a bunch of other acts at the time. Little Detroit guys like MC5 andthe Amboy Dukes, the Detroit Wheels.... What a feeling playing there. Their blood, sweat, spit and spilled drinks were embedded in that stage.
My favorite Seger tune. On my playlist. Glad you finally got to it.
The first song I ever heard by Bob Seger many moons ago ;) Glad you loved it as much as I did when I was about 14, lol!!!
If you guys think this is an "s" song, then the live version with Beautiful Loser is S+++!
Like a Rock just floors me every time I hear it. The older I get the more relevant it gets.
I call this one a STOMPER!
Personal favorite for me too Alex! And that's Glenn Frey singing his ass off in the background.
Main street, Come To Poppa
Kathmandu, Her Strut, Rock n Roll never forgets are three of many rockers that Bob Seger recorded
I've mentioned this song before. Early Seger. East Side Story by Bob Seger and the Last Heard. It was released in 1966.
Seger did an old Koko Taylor song, Come To Mama, changed it to the male POV, and made it a rocker. It's a good take.
You think it’ll make Andy blush?
Oh yeah. That one's dirty 😎
@@itzel1735 😄
@@spidertoes26 It's dirtier when a woman sings it! 😄
@@peterquinones3522 Respectfully disagree.🔥
Bob's first national hit, first one I heard for sure. Loved it then and now. Intro is a little similar to the Zeppelin version of "When the Levee Breaks", but this song was released a couple years earlier (although the release of the original recording was 1929).
My mom and dad and everybody I knew in the 1970s had Bob Seger going all the time**** Greg Allman was considered the poor man's Bob Seger ( where I was from)
Aww, c'mon... They all had their own lane. 😊👍
@@tjtampa214 oh yeah I don't feel that way but it's just funny how people from the South and the north compare Bob Seger and Gregg Allman
@@peck404 I have roots in N and S and can honestly say I never heard that comparison. Maybe more a regional thing from your area.
I heard this song for the first time 3 days ago and then here I see it on here, literally love the song
His first hit and my fave. Now how about a second reaction to Robin Trower. Too Rolling Stoned for banger month. Come on, it's high time!
Yeah, can’t believe how many of us noticed the Bridge of Sighs album during Monday’s song! Gents, you are now obligated to review something, SOMETHING - off of Robin Trower’s BRIDGE OF SIGHS!!!
Awesome reaction!
Thank you for thoughts and feelings. Peace and Love Andy&Alex.
"Fire Down Below" "Her Strut"
SQUEE! Anyone else clicking the refresh button until the gents come on? 😺
LoL, totally. Got a little sad when time hit and no video. Then YEAAAAAA!
I was!

You want to rock thru the whole song? "Katmandu", from Live Bullet is a must.
I have three words for you: Nutbush City Limits (Live Bullet version, of course). Now, THAT'S a banger.
"Still like that old time rock and roll " another great song. Used in the iconic seen of "Risky Business " a tom cruise movie, in which made Tom cruise famous and the star that he is today. It is one of the most iconic scenes of all time
Keyboards, bass, drums, and Seger! Enough said!!!
You can have your funky world, see ya round....
Next reaction should be "Rock and Roll never forgets".
They did record it in one take. the first time the back up vocals came in you can hear one voice over modulate but it was the best of all the takes so they kept it. BTW the voice that over modulated was a 15 year old Glen Frey (from the Eagles). This is my favorite Seger song because of the live feel. Good job!!
One of the finest two minute songs EVER!
I learned from the Eagles documentary that that's a very young Glenn Frey belting it out on the first chorus.
Kathmandu or Get OuT of Denver next.
"Schoolteacher" would be a wild ride for them!
His first hit. For a few years after he was dubbed a "one hit wonder",,,,, then the Night Moves
NIGHT MOVES was a Billboard #1 Album
Love how you were so into it right from the gate!!!
How about Come to Poppa or Horizontal Bop! I PROMISE you that you will groove right out of your chairs when you hear Come To Poppa.....its funkadelic and the guitar whines and drives the soul right to yours!
Early Seeger was quite rockin'.
For more raunchy Seeger I suggest the breathless "Get out of Denver".
The live version of this song on the "Live Bullet", album was the best version of this song.
BTW, he was offered a recording contract by Motown...the first White male...
So, I’m 63, born, raised, lived in Michigan my whole life, (Bob is also from Michigan) and heard this song for the first time on AM radio (CKLW) when I was very young. The “hometown rockstar” effect is what motivated us all to be musicians at that time.
We went to shows at county fairs and the old Olympia Stadium when I was a teenager, and I have friends who were at Cobo Hall the night he recorded “Live Bullet”... I highly recommend doing that album IN ITS ENTIRETY to hear him at his best.
Come to poppa, sunspot baby are two deep cuts you may like. Side note, Glenn Frye of eagles fame started out with Seger, you can tell his influences.
You want to hear Bob Seger just rip, listen to the tracks of Nine Tonight. "Her Strut", "Rock N Roll Never Forgets" and "Let it Rock" all live and just astounding.
Fun tune! But, like most Seger, it’s better on Live Bullet...
Come to Papa is one of my favorites.
“Sunburst” off of Night Moves is his Stairway to Heaven, sort of (starts moody, picks up, is longish)
Used put my transistor radio under my pillow and wait for this to come on at night. Round about 1968 😎🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Best Seger song! So good! Love that drum intro.
Recorded as a single before the rest of the album and only exists in mono, which explains mix issues to our modern ears that are now totally used to stereo. Bob had help on guitar from Glenn Frey later of the Eagles, but Bob played almost all the guitar parts in this band. Known as the Bob Seger System, not the later group The Siver Bullet Band.
Burton Cummings solo, formerly of The Guess Who, is a fantastic Blues-Rocker, banging on his piano. "My Own Way to Rock", the title song. "Charlemagne" and "Framed" from the same album.
Live Bullet album is a MUST. It has amazing production and sound quality for all these MoTown Funk Brother Bob Seger Slide Mother rockers ! AMEN
Need to do live versions off the "Live Bullet" album when ever possible....the energy is off the charts
Trying to live my life without you ( live )
I haven't seen much Foreigner. They were super talented with great vocals and about a dozen hits. Feels Like The First Time, Cold As Ice, Double Vision, Hot Blooded, Blue Morning Blue Day, Dirty White Boy, Urgent, Juke Box Hero, etc. That's a start.
Turn it UP! This song NEEDS to be played blasting loud. JMO
Just for the record when he finally signed on a solid record label (Capitol) and changed to Bob Seger System his first hit single was the anti-war message song "2 + 2 = ? followed by Ramblin Gamblin Man and back in those days most songs were 2.5 minute - 3 minutes
Thank you, youths, for the respect of real.
Bob Seger was a local band for me back in the day in Detroit City. His early group The Last Heard was him at his vocal best. All you people do yourself a favor and listen to Heavy Music Part 1 that song is full out Banger Bob in his early years!
Just think - this song is 53 years old. Still rocks….
Definitely check out his live version of this song from "Live Bullet"!
I think you guys would LOVE “Nutbush City Limits”. I think it’s definitely a banger.
Oh! I'd forgotten this song. Enjoy your reactions. Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard just dropped " Undivided" . It is a time sensitive video message song for our nation, the USA. We need this, please do as soon as possible.
Still my favorite. Bought the album when it was first released unheard based on the cover.😎✌🏽☮️🎸
Hey Andy and Alex. I have been watching you guys for about 6 months and it has been pretty cool watching both you guys and your set develop and mature. It is great to watch a reaction video made by actual musicians and not just someone starting a reaction channel. My son Zach is a gifted guitarists like yourself Andy. You have a rare talent like my son where you can actually recreate the fingerprint of a guitarist like my son can. I picked that up immediately when I heard you covering Pink Floyd and Queen...Two guitarists with very heavy fingerprints that most players can not recreate...Shout out to Alex on the Freddy vocals...huge shoes to fill. My son just started his channel back in November. It is a teaching channel for guitarists of any and all styles with some videos of some of his original pieces that will be coming in the weeks ahead. Zach is 24 and you guys watching the dynamic between you guys is much like watching Zach with his musician friends. Zach will be posting some of the home video footage I began recording back when he was 12 years old. You guys will be blown away to see what he was doing after only playing for 18 months...yes...he was a prodigy...but he practiced 6-8 hours a day for the first 10 years he played and still is a avid student and learner of the instrument. you can check him out if you type in Zach Rollins. If you guys like him please give him a SHOUT OUT two musicians to another. I am soon to be 54 in Feb. and grew up on all the music you two are reacting to. In response to this particular video, many musicians and fans feel Live Bullet is one of the top three live albums ever recorded and I agree. next time I leave a comment i will leave a list of songs that you and your viewers will be mighty glad you checked out. God bless both of you and as Lynyrd Skynyrd famously sang..."and don't forget son there is someone up above." (His name is Jesus :) Papa Bear aka ChefZeppelin.
Best Bob Seger song ever.
Without a doubt his pinnacle.
Seger sort of lost his edge slowly but surely after this tune. Such promise.
HEAVY MUSIC part 1, 1967, same era as Lucifer and Ramblin' Gamblin' Man. Definite banger!!!!!!
Saw Seger open for BTO n '74 at the New Fillmore East in Manhattan. That year he was opening shows for Blue Oyster Cult when he told BOC's Eric Bloom he might retire if he didn't have any further success.
