- In today's video I share with you my experience trying the vertical diet for a week. The diet was created by Stan Efferding, an elite powerlifter and IFBB pro bodybuilder.
The diet was created for optimal performance for elite level athletes as well as optimize gut health, correct nutrient deficiencies and balancing your hormones.
Follow along my week as I VLOG my experience and talk about how I feel in day to day life as well as my performance in the gym.

About ten years ago, my friend’s family had a bison farm so our freezer was full of free bison steak, ground bison, and bison roasts. I love bison steaks. They taste like buttery heaven. Oh the memories.

I was hoping that was what it was. I hurt a hip muscle about a year ago and got into the habit of never sitting. The only time I sit now is to drive and of course the rest room.
To be honest, sometimes I eat standing up. Sometimes I walk around too!

I felt the exact same way! When I started the vertical diet a year ago, I didn't have much to change in my nutrition since I already ate white rice pretty much every day along with some kind of red meat source.
@@him050 im south east asian, filipino to be exact and im gonna say majority of people here only eats 2 things, rice and viand (usually meats) and thats it. Few people that I know of that eats vegetables.

I tried this diet and found it impossible to lose weight. If I got to a deficit then I’d be starving. Not satiating at all. Maybe good for hard gainers and pro athletes.
Eliminate the white rice, tubers and other crap. Meat, butter, raw dairy, eggs. And up your test and Gh doses lol.
Maybe you have a chubby bunny mindset and can't manage your meals

In general there's definitely better options out there to lose weight. The diet is literally made to give people the least amount of digestive issues while being palatable so they can eat the most amount of food. On the flipside there's few foods and that may downregulate the urge to eat more. Works for some, but most will probably do better with another diet including legumes and such.
I like how Will explains everything he experiences. He is also very honest even telling his viewers that "this diet isn't scientifically proven, but it does work for him". Also I like how he also tells his viewers (unlike other UA-cam hosts) that "this diet works for him find out what works for you. Not every diet or workout works the same for everyone ". He is knowledgeable for his age and he does do his research. Also he corrects himself when he misspeaks . Good Job Will. 👍

Great video, Will! For you and those watching, there are some simple adjustments that can be made in the diet to add food items with higher satiety to reduce appetite. These include choosing whole cut steaks over ground meat, eating whole oranges instead of orange juice, and replacing some of the white rice with calorically equivalent amounts of potato. Sleep will highly affect appetite as well. It seems like Stan and I talk about sleep more than food because it's so important. Also, the cost associated will vary tremendously depending on the food items chosen and location. Really appreciate the work you put into the video. Great job!

I think your channel has changed my life. It’s showing me how to live. Even though life happens your gotta bop and weave. Life’s all about attitude! Let the bad be the bad, and the good,good. Just let situations run over you. Notice that there will be parts after the stress and anxiety. But that I should appreciate that fact that my life is not the worry. It’s my life. It just is. I live a very easy life in retrospect of others. This is incredible.

There are many others preaching their thoughts but i don't see them vloging their results of trying other things. Or how they look and the transformations. As well as the failures or tough times. You are so humble in the end. There's a great quality to being humble. if you haven't been to the bottom you don't know how good the top feels. I've been on the bottom a few times. In many aspects and appreciate every day even if it's a bad one. Good ones are super high.

Yea the Gut Microbiome changes based on foods you eat. Same thing happens on a Carnivore Diet (low fiber). It improves metabolism which makes you feel more hungry. Don't knock it until you try it!

If you’re trying to eat fast, I suggest the Thai fork + spoon combo. Use the fork as a rake to push food on the spoon, much faster, works especially great with things like rice and ground meats

As someone with IBS and keratosis pilaris + contact dermatitis, I HIGHLY recommend you try this diet. It won't completely get rid of your keratosis, but a slight bumpiness versus raging, stinging sandpaper is much easier to deal with throughout the day. Your intestines and regularity will also thank you. You can have cheat meals, but save them for days you know you don't have anything going on.

I kinda been on this diet/lifestyle without realising (+a little caffeine/odd cheat meal a week).. I’ve also not bust a nut in 3+ months and been finishing every shower cold 😆 😂 the changes you addressed is one reason I have remained on it and focused, it’s fairly easy and enjoyable. The energy I feel I have is crazy, and when I do eat like shit, I feel really bad after like, not a lot of energy, and/or my belly feels super heavy / bloated.

I’m not what the call “someone who works out” but I cook at home for generally every meal and try to make it healthy. This gave me some ideas but the biggest takeaway was that vegans and non vegans can go out to eat together. Thank you
