With a zero carb diet like this you're gonna be excreting a ton of sodium. Might have been why you felt awful around 9:30 - you gotta add a surprising amount of salt to get your sodium levels back up.
Carnivore adaptation period is definitely rough though - you'll want to get a 32 inch monitor as well as a wall mount and hook that up to a PS4 in your bathroom right in front of your toilet

About two weeks in, i felt amazing. About a month in and my bp was at normal level, usually elevated. You find many ways to snack and many foods you can eat and enjoy. Im just over 186cm tall. I was 87kg at the time and after 2 months was down to 79kg. Lean and very strong. My gut has never felt so good. I would go bathroom once a day, effortlessly, no gas. I dont do caffeine but fuck was it hard having no carbs. I didnt get headaches at all. I had a shit ton of salt. I had a shit ton of heavy cream. The worst i ever felt was the month after ending carnivore. I vowed never to eat bread or pasta again. Now i do essentially what saladino does. Never felt better. Meat and fruit.

I allow cocoa powder and mct oil in my decaf coffee, eat 95% dark chocolate after dinner. keep my electrolytes up pink salt, potassium, magnesium, calcium. mostly eating beef, ground and ribeye's and eggs with butter added =) I use apple cider vinegar twice a day with meal and drink bone broth. I use freeze dried beef liver, heart, kidney caps for the extra nutrition. I make my own lemon water with salt potassium and a little bit of monk fruit powder about three quarts a day. Only cook with butter, lard, or coconut oil. High fat moderate protein very low sugar does work for me. Gone from 393lbs to 300lbs so far lol now I just need to get more active at least for what my back will allow. My weight and work kicked my back's ass. Today I passed the 7 day mark on the Carnivore diet. What drove me to it was I had reached a resting blood pressure of 191/110. Early this morning - right when I actually passed the seven day mark, my blood pressure came in at 122/80. The bulk of the excess blood pressure came off in the first 3 days. In fact in the very first day, my blood pressure dropped from 191/110 to 160/100. The very first day.
But if you look up blood pressure and the carnivore diet, all the medical professionals are saying “If you have high blood pressure, do not do the carnivore diet.” Modern medicine has life threateningly (to patient lives) bad biases.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the day 2 clarity.
Back in 2018 I started intermittent fasting (16 hours no food - 8 hour eating window), Sunday full day fast with only water, ginger tea and kombucha. Followed up by meatless mondays.
I also implemented completely cutting out bread, dairy, fast food, fruit juices (from concentrate) and sodas cold turkey from my diet.
I have been eating like this since- it just feels right for my body. Some times I’ll have cheat days or I won’t be as strict if we go out to eat - but I am still like 90% consistent with my meals.
Candy and sweets added sugars - all those things naturally fell away during the first 30 days.
I do eat fruit as kind of like an end of the meal desert but nothing more, no cake no ice cream.
On days when I “cheat” I feel sluggish and over full - but not in a satisfying way, like a guilty pleasure - why am I doing this to myself kind of way.
But I am so much clearer in my thinking, my workouts, and in my meal prepping. Plus there is a lot of money SAVED grocery shopping by just buying meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts and seeds - and not buying bread products or sweet treats.
Amin December of 2024 I got really into Apple cider vinegar in the morning, adding chia seeds to water, and adding ground flax seeds to Greek yogurt.
I don’t make enough to do a carnivore diet though! Plus I’m very regular, I love my fiber, and I only have red meat once a week, the other 4 days are chicken or fish.

Just recently started going to the gym. Lost most of that weight just with the diet. It is like keto but hard core. I love the results I am getting. You don’t need to eat if you’re not hungry in carnivore. You only eat when you are hungry and eat until you are comfortably stuffed. Pork rinds are a good snack to chill with.

You can transform your health and revolutionize your way of living with this diet. It is worth pushing through the keto flu and the carnivore poops to have the overwhelmingly better results later. I challenge someone reading this to try it for 30-90 days. You will more than likely drop 30 lbs in 30 days easily if you do exactly what Dr. Berry says on his channel.

Became a trainer/health coach in the process of it all because of the dramatic change in my health and fitness. It was all so worth it but I wouldn't want to do it for the rest of my life. Reasons you would want to do this: Food elimination for finding allergies, alzheimer's (that's why I'm doing it - my 46 year old sister was just diagnosed with early onset alzheimer's and my dad passed from it - ketosis can help rescue a brain from early stages of alzheimer's to a certain point), cut your inflamation, cure "diseases", skin issues, toenail fungus, better mood (after you ar fat adapted), general brain fog (helped me tremendously after 5 months), better sleep. Lots of things. Just watch Dave Mac and the hundreds of interviews that he has had with people who went carnivore and all of the uncurable diseases that have been cured. There are a lot of reason to do carnivore. Granted, this video was made 4 years ago and a lot of information is available now compared to 4 years ago.

I kind of accidentally fell into this diet. I do drink black coffee still and o take my vitamins everyday.
I got sick so i guess you could say i went on a fast. When i felt better all i wanted was meat. So ive basically existed off of deer roast so far. I do season it with salt,.pepper and sometimes garlic.
So far what ive noticed is mostly good. I no longer have to take stomach meds, bathroom issues are better, no bloating. The only downside was being extremely tired. That is starting to get better now though.
I dont plan on keeping this diet. O need to gain, not lose weight. I love how this seems to have helped reset my gut though. Im going to start adding some veggies in and then go from there. Figure out what my stomach likes and what it doesnt.

Evelyn Babcock He’s done keto before and wasn’t a giant fan of it. Most of the benefits of keto are greatly exaggerated or just not actually factual. If you enjoy it and it works for you, that’s great, but the actual scientific backing for it is very weak while having a majority of the information coming from only 3 independent studies that get greatly misrepresented when presenting keto. As someone who is an actual practicing dietitian, too many people get their information from UA-cam or blogs and think that these people know what they’re talking about just because it worked for them.

Zane Baker I get my information for medical professionals. Check out the podcast low carb MD, Dr. Jason Fung, the book Genius foods, and the concept of gluconeogenisous. There’s a whole section of those books and podcast talking about how studies involving high carb low fat diet were being funded my Kellogg’s and other commercialized products in order to promote the concept of “healthy grains and healthy sugar” so that they could sell more cereals and sugar filled and highly processed foods. I’m not trying to start anything, but anybody that enters a state of ketosis will not feel the best for the first few weeks due to curbing their addiction to that glucose and sucrose, the fluid shifts, and the “keto flu”... which is why when he tried keto, he was not a fan. Strict keto is not for everyone. Those who workout heavily should introduce maybe a sweet potato once a week, maybe twice. Overall, low carb would still be the goal. Carbohydrates break down and metabolize as sugar, which spike blood glucose levels and insulin. This can cause weight gain, diabetes, heart disease, trouble sleeping, and moody behaviors. I’m not trying to switch anyone to keto or tell them to do something that they don’t want, but I’m simply stating science. The data stated is factual, evident by the literal altering of neurotransmitters, the switching of energy storages, and studies done by those with a PhD, and the human body itself. I’m sorry if I offended you but what you’re saying is simply incorrect.

You can eat anything an animal contributes. You can have yogurt, milk, eggs, fish, etc. but you want fatty proteins. Also I do bone broth with heavy whipping cream. Cook all your meats in butter. You can use spices that are natural like crushed red peppers, but just enough to seasoning. I also add heavy whipping cream to the steak broth to make a gravy to dip it in. You can add a little bacon, and ham to the eggs for breakfast or a little beef. You can have a small volume of processed meat. Also this diet is really meant for obese people trying to lose weight and help their health issues. You sir are already fit enough. All you’re doing is maintaining or bulking from all the protein.

Traditional diets tend to boil their meats instead of frying or grilling... I'm curious if that might help with the stomach issues. I knew a Lakota elder and she told me that growing up they boiled everything. She told me that once her kids started taking care of her and cooking all her food they were frying and grilling and that it didn't feel good in her stomach. I imagine that when changing a diet so drastically it may take time to adjust the stomach flora to handle the dense food. Our stomachs aren't just blenders that grind up the food. It's a chemical process between the food and our stomach enzymes and bacteria. This takes time.
