The problem with Stan's advice is that he's 100% right. Many of the things he recommends require someone to actually put in effort (such as going on a 10 minute walk after each meal.) The unfortunate truth is that almost nobody is willing to do these things unless they're an athlete--the regular person doesn't have the motivation or discipline to do these things on a day-to-day.

People love to make excuses oh my legs hurt oh im tired oh im having a bad day etc. As someone who got up to 16 and a half stone (due to drinking lots of alcohol)and only started training 1 and a half months back im now 15 and a half stone so I've lost a stone. In this last month and a half i've learned some things. Theres no such thing as motivation its just disipline i was just being lazy and making excuses to feel good not willing to sacrifice to get better.. But now when i hear people in better shape than me make those excuses it kind of irritates me. So what your having a bad day? you're not motivated? you hurt? So what. If you only work on yourself when you feel like it you get no where. If you only train on good days then what the fuck are you doing on bad days sitting in bed like a pussy?
At this point for last nearly 2 months i've got up and jumped rope. Went for a 2 mile run. Go boxing for an hour, spar with some friends then skip to cool down and do a second two mile run at night as well when its dark and cold and relaxing. There is no excuse just laziness. Soon enough i will be 11.5 stone but for now im still considered moderately obese but its going down every day. so if i can do it anyone can do it, i know im still fat but i have lost a stone so im feeling pretty good these days and now that i know motivation isnt real it feels much more like a part of my normal routine to just train eat and sleep. I have bi polar and since i started training this hard i barely feel mentally ill, which i did for the last 15 years. I Only wish i started training before i turned obese at my young age of 24 haha. but 1 year from now I'll be proud that i started today

Cake eater. if your a person who sleeps 8 hours. Takes one hour in the morning to get ready. works 8 hours a day, eat 3 meals a day lets say an hour for each meal. That leaves you 4 hours right? So how can people have no time when you can clearly fit in 4 hours of training and you dont even need 4 hours to train only an hour or maybe 2 if you're more of an athlete. then you have 2 hours for pleasure like movies or xbox or youtube etc

thanks for the solid advices ! sleep ,no doubt is NUMBER ONE ! one question i have is about the study he is talking at @10:45 concludes that "results suggest that morbidly obese women with insulin resistance can achieve better control of insulin resistance and glycemic variability on a high HP diet compared to an M diet." the study ( Francesca Tettamanzi et al. Nutrients. 2021.) was intersting but the sample for the trial was small and not that long duration (21 days) and personally i'm not sure it has carryover while another study ( by L Schwingshackl · 2018) a meta-analysis concludes that "according to the network meta-analysis the Mediterranean diet is the most effective and efficacious dietary approach to improve glycaemic control in type 2 diabetes patients"...as for myself the best way was to start with a keto diet and work my way twords a better metabolical flexibility.

The only issue I had with Mareck health is trying to get the physical done they send you through email. They make you get that done before they will prescribe anything and tell you to just go to an apple care or minute clinic to get that done. Sounds easy right, at least not in the region I am from, no one wanted to touch that physical Mareck wanted me to get done. Especially if you tell them its from a health clinic. Keep that in mind if you go with them, you will have to get that physical done before they will prescribe you anything.

I'm in my late 40s, started competing in power lifting at 14, broke a bunch of records, still train like a savage... I've had two tests at two different labs:
    - 13, with the normal level listed as 0 to 3
    - 8, with a normal level listed as 0 to 10
Based on some other data that I've heard, athlete's should have low CRP levels, excepted for within the 96 hours after a workout. 😆😆😆 Doesnt that mean we'd have "chronicly" high CRP levels - we never have 96 hours between workouts...unless there is an injury.

What bothers me is every heavy lifter and big eater looks far older than their chronological age. I train and eat but by adding 4 to 7 day water fasts every 6 weeks I’ve been able to avoid this issue.

Not steroids…they don’t wrap around your neck and choke you to death. It’s what can come with using them. It’s the high blood pressure/ hematocrit that gets you. You don’t need steroids for those levels to get out of whack, a bad diet and sedentary lifestyle will do it just as easily. people need to take blood work seriously, steroids or not. shitty diets kill more people in a day than steroids ever will.
