  • When it comes to raising hatchling lizards, reptile racks have their perks. Most reptile rack designs I’ve seen online are only suited for snakes and geckos, as they often can’t accommodate heat and uv lamps.
This video shows how I designed and made a reptile rack that have heat and UV lamps for growing out my young monitor lizards.

Can I just say how wonderful of a job you did with this rack!?! I've been trying to figure out the best way to house my geckos without paying an arm and a leg, plus giving them the UVB they need and this seems like such a fantastic idea to use.

Very cool build. This shows that if you Realy put in the effort you can give your reptiles everything it needs even in a rack system... This would work very well for snakes as well that likes to bask.
    Nice work brother 🤘

@@Varanibae Thank you! I can definitely see myself doing something like this for my more mid sized lizards like my bearded dragon, skinks, uromastyx and amieva!

one thing missing..... ROOM monitors needs alot of room to roam. imho, this is not cool

I’ve tried raising hatchling monitors in larger enclosures but there’s always one or two that never do well because they hide far from the hot spot and never come out to eat. More room can be given when they are older and more established.
