Never trade the 2001. Just buy a camry and have 3 cars. If you don't need the money just keep it forever. That's the plan with mine. Pass it on to your kids Grand kids it will definitely last that long I have the 2000 Taco(My Baby) a Nissan Titan (Work Truck) and Nissan Versa(Commuter). 3 cars is the way.
I've owned 3 Toyotas for the last years.
20 crewmax I bought new.A 2019 Camry XLE.
And my everyday beater a corolla...Al have been awesome vehicle's.

You should change the oil by looking at the mileage and also the date . You don’t want one year old oil in your car . Oils cheap engines aren’t.

I owned 2 vehicles for over 7 years until the frame on my 18 year old GM car rusted out.
You need to change that oil at least once a year maybe every 6 months you would probably be ok with once since you don’t drive it much !

Nice 2001 Tacoma, but it is not worth 12k, no 2001 Tacoma is worth past 3k
