2024 Nissan Frontier NOT SELLING - You Should Buy One

- The Nissan Frontier is a great truck but people just aren't buying it. I have some ideas as to why, mostly to do within the company itself. They don't advertise it like they should. They rarely offer financing incentives with it. Trucks for Nissan are not a cash cow, the Rogue takes that slot for them. Their still selling a ton of sedans as well. The mid-size segment is jam packed once again and this truck is near the top for me.

I’m not buying a vehicle in this market. Period. I’m not paying this much money for plastic and unreliability. All the warranties are complete shit. 36,000 miles. People are not gonna line the pockets of these executives anymore. Make a reliable car with 100,000 mile warranty standard.. give us what we’re paying for or go out of business. I don’t care what happens to the car industry if it completely fails and all of them go out of business.
so you still believe bidens "inflation is transitory" rhetoric? unfortunately inflation is permanent. if you think the manufacturers are making too much profit then you found your niche in the market. maybe you can sell more reliable cars for less money with greater warranties. let me know when you produce your first road worthy vehicle under 30k
I agree 1,000,000%
The Titan does have a 100k bumper to bumper warranty
Absolutely it does, cause it needs it. It's complete shit.😅
@@MW-bz1qe Thats like the opposite of true, any vehicle review yiu watch on it says its the most reliable full size truck made. How about know what you are talking about
Frontier is the best new truck out there. No turbo. No cylinder deactivation. Strong powertrain and a history of well made trucks.
Use to be. The last Gen had stronger engine, easier to get into and load, less expensive.
@@lorimcquinn3966 Almost wish I would have kept my 2016! Seats and room was way better! I ended up getting a 2023 Tacoma instead.
In general, we are entering (or in) a recession. Trucks are not selling because consumers have reached the limits. Car loan defaults are growing. The Biden administration will tell you that inflations is under some ridiculous single digit number. Go to the grocery store or the car lot and do the math…. It is sky high. What is your grocery bill now? Printing money and importing welfare recipients has consequences!
Hard to find a crew cab with the longer box…..
@@lorimcquinn3966 how was 4.0. " stronger " than 3.8? 3.8 has significantly more HP and at least equal torque. Haven't heard bad reports yet, like new Tundra turbo. Nobody's complaining that the 3.8 is not a powerful engine at 310 HP. Heck, that's TRIPLE the HP of my Hardbody. Sure, the crazy turbo 4 bangers get lots of torque somehow, but there's a tradeoff in complexity and stress.
The Nissan Frontier was, literally, the highest selling mid-sized pickup in the USA for the first quarter of 2024.
yup I just bought 1 a few weeks ago Pro 4X love this truck.
Yeah the sales are picking up, hoping to see the trend keep going up. I also really hope Nissan doesn’t update it for a few years but there are already pictures and rumors of a facelift for 2025.
Makes sense 20k cheaper than the toyota and no turbo or cylinder deactivation nonsense. Nissan seems to have hit the mark if only by accident with their lack of R&D funds
@@stvkomerwon't that be a story. And I tend to agree.
@@stvkomer More like "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." It's essentially the same thing as the D40 Frontier (previous gen) with cosmetic changes. People loved those because they were easy on the wallet, reliable and didn't have all the bells and whistles. The current gen just added some more modern tech and comfort.
After taxes, 50k for a nissan pickup truck. F that
All the guys hating on the new Tacoma say they’d rather have a Frontier. lol
@@stevenk5800 Having owned a 3rd gen Tacoma... I'll buy a Frontier before I ever consider a 4th gen Tacoma.
@@hochhaul I have a 3rd gen Tacoma and never even considered the Frontier.
@@stevenk5800 Clearly the Tacoma haters aren't buying Frontiers either lol.
@@westcoastplinkin6559 I’ve always been a Toyota guy, I had a few 87 hilux’s, an 03 Tacoma and a 2010 Tacoma. Now I have a 2019 4runner, I bought 2 Frontiers in between. The Nisan V6 is gutless compared to the Toyotas V6. I thought about giving Nissan another chance, but it was just a thought. lol
Point of reference, I’m at 16k miles on a ‘22 SV 4x4. Just the best truck. Fast, smooth, quiet. Solid as a rock. Traded a pos ‘20 Ranger which I nicknamed Herky Jerky. Buy the Nissan! You will not be disappointed.
Hearing many reports like yours. As I keep milking out my 87 Hardbody with 427,000 miles, I'm glad to hear the new ones are solid still. Sounds like the best in class. If I was going for new, I'd skip the rest and go Nissan. But my one gripe is I like the Nissan manuals that seem to be a lifetime unit. I don't think ANY automatic is forever due to the complex.
But I went to the dealer and looked the new ones over, and they are nice.
50k miles on my 22 and I love it for the same reasons!
I have exactly 16K miles on a 22 SV 4x4 I picked up used few months ago. As you say powerful, fast and solid. Like it a lot.
This engine/trans combo were in the later years of the last gen and they’ve already got examples with 250K miles on them. Just go look in the forums. This gives me hope that the new gen is just as good as the old in reliability.
@@nicksmith8166 Well, they basically just updated the old frame platform, and the powertrain was in the last gen for one year. So basically it's the body that is all new and from what I hear it is tight and solid. Nissan kept the things that worked (except the manual transmission, which is the one thing I would want as an option.)
Also love that this has a V6 and not a wheezy 4 banger with a turbo strapped to it to mask the fact that it’s a slug.
That wheezy 4 banger would dust the V6 in the Frontier!
I had a four cylinder one with no turbo....beat my son in law with his V8 Camaro turd!
@@stevenk5800 Until it blew up because it's a tiny, underpowered engine that has been roid-raged with a turbo to hide its deficiencies and meet the government's ridiculous fuel standards. Have fun replacing the turbos for $4k and having to sit in your driveway to let it cool off lol

I remember back when Nissan sold trucks in the USA under the Datsun nameplate. Way back in 1979 I bought one of these Datsun trucks brand new. It was a King Cab 2-wheel drive. It had air conditioning, 5-speed stick transmission and AM/FM radio. I bought this truck new for $6200.00.
$6200 in ‘79 is roughly inflation adjusted to $26500 in May ‘24 dollars. So we now have something like $5k in ‘24 dollars in safety, emissions, and electronic toys that we are forced to pay for. Would someone in 1979 pay $7500 (‘79 dollars) for a 2024 2wd Frontier King Cab? I’m sure a few would have.
Had the same truck.
I actually like these new Frontiers. I like the looks and the fact that they still come with a V6. I'm not paying $40k+ for a mid-size truck though.
I looked at them last year before I bought my 2022 V6 GMC Canyon. Thing turned me off on the Frontier is that I didn't like the steering on it. At 1st thought is was kind of bad steering on that particular truck. Then learned shortly after I test drove it, then learned many complaints about the bad steering on the Frontiers.
@@airbornesoldieramerica7125steering has been updated now
Toyota thinks the shitty new Tacoma is worth over 55k.
@@PaulFugate-cc7mn I wouldn't pay $40k for a Tacoma let alone $55k. Hell, I refused to pay $40k for a Tundra.

Exactly.
lol. Prices are up due to supply chain issues which was directly caused by shutting down production of pretty much everything at the same time. Now, markups are just dealers and salesmen ripping people off, but msrp is up because of problems with production. I am not saying I agree with any of it but Biden has little to do with this let alone anything. He literally has dementia. You think he is making any decisions. Deflation is caused by debt creation which is what QE is used for, which creates more debt and therefore causes further deflationary pressure in the future… and so the cycle continues but this has nothing to do with who the president is.

I bought my 2024 Pro 4X fully loaded with every option for $44K. original MSRP was $46 but negotiated a $2K discount.
I agree still a little bit pricey but compared to other brands that go for $55K to 66K fully loaded then it is a no brainer to me. The truck is awesome and very happy with it.
Nice deal! I got mine for $45k fully loaded as well. I do agree that it's a bit pricey, but for the off-roading capabilities, reliability, v6 engine, and having it fully loaded with all bells and whistles it's an awesome deal if you can score it for $46k or less.
A better deal than a Tacoma with a more reliable 6 cylinder engine and a 9 speed transmission. I've learned a better vehicle is much better than a great deal on a not so good vehicle.
It is not priced high compared to Ford and GM. I get A plan on both and the Frontier was way cheaper with incentives and a better truck.
My local dealer is discounting the Pro4x $6-8k off sticker
$44k is a good deal considering the prices of other trucks (Tacoma) that are running that range for the basic entry of an SR5. A comparable Tacoma would be the TRD OFFROAD basic w/o options and yes that includes a downgrade on a "hybrid" that so far has issues after issues cost nearly $50-60k. The Frontier has been one of the top for reliability and that they still have their naturally aspirated V6!
I happy with mine. The 19 year old Frontier Nismo it replaced has continues to be a solid performer.
I will not buy one, and I like them a lot, but the prices and interest rate now is a stupid proposition!
Nice truck, but they are still way overpriced.
I just bought a 2024 S 4x4 crew cab with tech pkg and Util pkg. for 37900 OTD. Dealer has 28 of them and 4 s models exact like mine. I got 9% off msrp, dealer does not charge a dealer fee, 500 military discount, 500 loyalty discount. It’s still over priced but it was 2500 less then the Colorado work truck. I spent weeks researching, internet browsing. My many hours of research, emails and phone calls to dealers paid off.
I’m still driving my 2007 Frontier. It’s served me well.
Dealer/location?
Pretty good 💯
@@kah4325He’s not telling the truth 🤥
Got the same truck except no bullshit tech in 2018 for 28k
Problem is even with the discount they are unaffordable. New car loan rates are almost 7-8% for people with over 800 credit ratings right now. I think most dealers are realizing that what was the last 2-3 years is no more nor is it ever coming back again, not here in America anyways. The Fed has kicked the can up against the wall and admitted no rate drops are coming, only increases, so this problem is only going to compound moving forward.
This is so true. It’s criminal
Nope..nissan offers a 3.9 for 750-800 score if you pass on a 750.00 rebate
Even at 0% the payment on a five yr loan would be $750 or more. Mid 800s, maybe 900 total per month after full coverage insurance. Not a big enough cohort. All new vehicles are going to sit.
@@asajayunknown6290 put money down
Yes I agree , new vehicles are way too expensive.
The Pro-4x Frontier is one of my favorite mid size truck!
Same problem here as at the Toyota dealers. There are no base-trim King Cab work trucks on this lot. Just a bunch of over-spec'd "off-road" Tonkas at $40k and up. No four-cylinder options, no manual transmission options... and no buyers.
The dealers make the most profit on the overpriced 4x4s.
Huh. Tacomas are literally 4 cylinder trucks now
@@danielmclinn5963 Oooops, meant to say 4-cylinder non-turbo options.
Tonkas, ha ha. That's a good way to describe it.
I love that blue on the Pro-X. I would buy this over the 4cyl Toyota.
I owned a 2003 Frontier from 2003-2017. Recently bought a 2024 SV crew cab Frontier. I much preferred the 03, fewer electronic garbage that honestly only allows for distracted driving. The motor is the same as the 03, the transmission seems to hunt for gears though. Especially at lower speeds in town, under cruise control. An issue i don't remember having in my 03. Remove most of the electronic "safety" features and you'd have a solid, reliable truck. But this idle stop feature, forwad brake assist, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, etc, etc, seriously if you need all of that to drive you probably shouldn't be driving until you're old enough to pay attention to the road.
It's an 8 speed transmission that's just the feel out of it
@KT-pu3gn if you'd like I can show you the windows sticker that clearly states "nine speed"
@patricklawrence7483 yeah 9 thanks for the correction yet yeah that's how it feels for a 9 transmission truck. Wow you corrected me to correct you. Look at us learning.
@KT-pu3gn just my opinion, as I am by my own admission not a mechanic, but a transmission hunting gears can't be good on said transmission.
Right on! I agree with your assessment. I picked up a Pro4X for 41,500 11% off sticker. I think people really under rate the Frontier. I love mine! It's peppy. 310HP is good. Yea, not as torquey as the turbos but simpler to repair!
This guys is beyond nuts to insinuate a dealer would take $5000 off MSRP… Go ahead dude, make the offer.

It would hold up alot better.
I do like that long bed SV
It's not a long bed. It"s just longer then the little tiny bed on the crew cabs. It's a short bed. 6 feet. The crew cab beds are not even beds. Its like an open trunk.
I don't know where you were at, but in South Jersey they are selling at a high rate. Many Tacoma owners are looking at the V6 in the Frontier.
Yep!
Loving my Pro4x purchased 5 weeks ago. So smooth and comfortable and decent mpg too.
I love my 2024 Frontier crew and it’s great. V6 power, not some whinney 4cylinder. It came with the SV and technology package. Plus, there’s no cheap looking plastic cladding around the wheel wells. Reasonably priced w all the factory incentives.

The frontier still is the best bang for the buck out of all the Midsize Trucks. They are dealing thousands off sticker on them. Normally aspirated V6, no turbo BS. You can get a Fully Loaded PRO 4X for $40k whereas a Tacoma TRD PRO is $65k with a 4cyl.
The Tacoma is much bigger than the Frontier. The Frontier is small. The back seat will not fit an adult.
Good truck parts haven't changed that much in 10 years. The big question is will prices come down?
Economy is crap all around. Every car manufacturer is hurting right now.
Yeah but the truth is more than what you’re saying. Car companies have been selling vehicles to the public for years now with market adjustments for higher than msrp. When the economy tanks every one is affected adversely however auto manufacturers have been price gouging the American people for years now and now you’re seeing it all coming back to the auto companies. Ironic isn’t it?
@@gearmonkey5904 dealers are doing the market adjustments, not manufacturers. Manufacturers are in fact angry at dealers for doing it because of the consumer anger it creates, as well as the negative impact on sales volume.
Dude, all car dealers did was front load deals from today. In other words, people who would be buying today instead bought over the last few years and dealers happily ripped them off.
Everything comes to balance. You party hard and do 14 shots of jack Daniels tonight, tomorrow you will be 50 percent.
The dealers simply ran out of guys willing to sign up for 80k trucks. Now they are stuck with all this jacked up priced inventory that they ordered when the good times were rolling.
Supply is no longer the issue. This is just greed with manufacturers raising prices and dealer behavior at an all time low. Make less cars for more profit is the current model and it will not stop until people stop buying. Look at websites, how many are on the lot vs in route? They keep them off the lot to promote scarcity and try to pressure people into buying. Tides are turning though and I think we are getting closer to where you can finally get vehicles under MSRP again. I believe this is one of the reasons for the high prices, get some of the fools to buy high, give others the sense they are getting a better deal when we finally turn the corner.
@@b.g.4277 That's correct. Supply is no longer an issue. Supply chain issues are no longer an excuse even though you'll still see people throwing that lie out there. Dealerships still want pandemic period prices when the fools got even more foolish (unbelievable). But now they have a glut of vehicles. Good, they can suck on 'em. They are now knocking off as much as 11 grand on full size trucks by me. Good start, now do more.
I have had 2 sv model frontiers, I bought a 2012 and then sold it and bought a 2018 ,I had a toyota tacoma 4x4 before I bought the 2012 and price was why I bought the Nissan compared to the Toyota, I drove the 2012 about 220 000. Miles and never had a issue other then oil changes, I drove my 2018 about 150 k without any issue ever and was completly happy with them, In 2020 I had a chance to get a new tacoma from a friend with under 10,000 miles ,so I sold my Nissan and bought his Toyota 4x4 sport for basicly a even trade since I got top dollar out of my Nissan, After owning 3 Tacomas over the years and 2 Nissans, I would not have a problem purchasing a new Nissan especially since the savings on the comparable model is probably 8000 dollars, I have to say I have never had any toyota in the shop for anything but a oil change either so in my hundreds of thousands of miles driving both vehicles, I may go back to a Nissan frontier next time because it has proven to be just as good a vehicle as any toyota I have owned,
My 2016 Tacoma was a total pile and in the shop multiple times. My 21 and 22 were perfect. My Frontier and Xterra were both rock solid, zero problems ever and I beat the snot out of them on the trails. I don’t think my Tacoma would have stood up to what I put on my Nissans. I would destroy Jeep Rubicans and TRD Pros all day in my Xterra Pro-4x.
If you look today, Tacos are ~$15k more than a Nissan when you factor in the distributor add-on and Toyota dealerships are the worst at screwing over people.
I bought a 2022 Frontier SV crew cab 4x4 new for $37k in July 2022. It's a great truck. Very solid, plenty of power, good looks, decent amenities.
I've been a Toyota truck guy most of my life, but I'm really unhappy with the new 2024 Tacoma. I just bought a 2024 Frontier ProX4 in baja storm, and am extremely happy with my decision. On top of that they gave me a killer deal. Couldn't be happier with a new truck 🤑👍

Gun metal gray is the color I got on my Fontier. Love it! Just needs ventilated cooled seats, power rear window and locking gas lid/cap. I will buy another one if Nissan comes out with cool ventilated seats. Probably same color I got now.
People complaining about price, go get a JOB! Or buy something that’s been underwater literally. 35-40k is nothing these days. Don’t even consider buying a house.
Got 15% off a loaded Titan Pro 4X in September. And they gave me 33.5k for my '18 F-150. Luckily my dealership has a competent service department because it needed the electronic locking tailgate wired (the wire connector was hanging as they never connected it at the factory). It also needed alignment and a transfer case switch replacement on recall. And recently, had a radio head/display screen replacement because of permanent imprints on the glass after only 6 months. So I put one of those glass screen protectors on. Heck of a lot cheaper than a new F-150 and so far I like it. It's amazing how much of a difference a good dealership makes. 18.5 mpg on the last tank. I'd probably be driving a Frontier if I didn't tow a TT. Would fit in the garage more easily.

When you consider vehicle prices and interest rates, it just doesn't seem smart to buy anything!
The only functional difference between the pro4x and an sv is the rear locker. If you don't offroad you're better off either saving the couple grand or spending it on a higher packaged sv
In my opinion one of the few improvements Nissan could make (other than offering their great manual transmission again) would be offering the locker as an option on all models, even as a plug-in dealer add-on.
Save a lot on maintenance cost too. Proper 4x4 maintenance can add up.
I have an older Frontier with 310k miles. Still runs strong. I always wanted a new Tacoma, but could not afford it in the past. I do not trust that 4 cylinder turbo. Turbo chargers put stress on the engine and are not very reliable. Also, the Tacoma is assembled in Mexico and the Frontier is assembled in the US. I'm now considering another Frontier if the price is right.
I love my 2024 Frontier SL. I paid 44k, leather seats, sunroof, tow package, fender sound system, v6. The list goes on, definitely a better truck and a better deal than the 2024 Tacoma.

Did you wanted those add-ons, or was it part of the deal to lower the price? Those are all fully refundable FYI or at least prorated FYI
If you were 6k under MSRP why buy gap? Extended warranty is cheaper anywhere but the dealer, and so is routine maintenance. I’m glad you like your truck but I would do everything possible to cancel those add-ons.

I bought a used '22 Frontier a week or so ago, got a terrific deal, long bed SV, Gunmetal dark grey, like new save for a scratch, and the V6 and 9 speed automatic have impressed me; it has more power than anything else I've owned. I had a hardbody V6 4x4 back in the and loved it, and I think this new style is a total winner; that said, they are a pretty 'spendy' purchase, if you can't swing a deal for a gently used one, like mine.
Just bought mine last week! Gun Metal gray!😜🤘
Bought a lightly used 2017 Frontier Pro-4X at 17k miles and it has 55k miles today. I've lightly used it too and done some offroading. Not a single repair so far. Has been flawless. It will last longer than I will, and I'm more than happy with that prospect. Who needs a new vehicle with all the new features and technology (crap).
My local dealer is chock-full of frontiers. Woodman in Colorado Springs.
Pro-X. No four wheel for me.
Great truck. In my opinion best bang for the $ is the Frontier SV King cab. Full size bed, same engine, no overpriced 4X4s
Right, best work truck configuration.
For those who don't know Frontier has incorporated the start/stop technology in their trucks. That is why the window sticker mpg is slightly higher than a 22 model. So beware if you're looking for a straight up truck, there is a button on the center of the dash to cut it out but every time you crank you have to push it to deactivate it. Sad but true. Buy used from an individual, that's the best but those interest rates.....
I have an '04 King cab (297k mileage) and owned an. '18 crewcab 6 spd manual 4x4. My last 4x4 was an '81 Toyota Hi Lux. The '18 had a rear differential seal leak. ABS system failure and ate 3 batteries. The right front brakes ( original pads) dropped a shoe requiring rotor replacement. Compared to my old trucks, both the Toyota and Frontier the '18 was a money pit and couldn't wait to gid rid of it after barely 3 years. Not buying a new Nissan truck ever again.
Yesterday, I talked to a man whose company bought eighty 2023 Frontiers. Previously, had a 2016. He and his co-workers really like the updated model.
Must be under-advertised. I own a 2023 Frontier SV and it's the best truck ever made.
Just dumped $45k CAD on a ‘23 SV Midnight Edition. Won’t go as far as to say “best ever” but it’s easily the best out of the 2018 Tacoma, 2021 F-150, and 2022 Tundra I looked at.
@@olgravey1364 The Frontier doesn't have the marketing budget of the Tacoma. Yet it has a better drivetrain, better prices, and far better financing rates.
If I did buy a new truck to replace my 2003 Ranger FX4 this would probably be it. I like white the best, super easy to keep clean. Also like the weird off colors like the grey and sandstone. If the army green was more of an olive drab i think it'd be killer but thats a little to bright of a green for my taste. Awesome truck, good video.
Sorry...ill keep my pile of cash, thank you. Ill wait for the bankruptcy sale
I have my 99 Frontier with 65,000 miles that I paid 17,000 for brand new. I wanted a Toyota but the 4x4 v6 extra cab only came loaded and cost 24,000 so I bought the Nissan. I quickly found out the off road aftermarket was practically non existent which was terribly disappointing. But I customized it and it's pretty awesome because I literally torched the ifs off and did a solid axle swap using a Dana 44. 😊
I have a 2023 frontier pro 4 x. I love it. Better than the rest of the turbo junk out there.
The Frontier is outselling everything in it's class by a wide margin in 2024. The Toyota Tacoma is lagging way behind most of the competition.
I just bought the same blue pro 4X and I paid 40,500 with 4.9% financing. I did look at the Tacoma, and I was looking at 48,800 with no negotiating. Plus, there are no special interest rates. So far, no problems with my Frontier.
That’s a good deal my friend!
The White is best in the San Quine Valley , where the summer heat is a problem. 105 to 112/degrees in the summer.
Other videos: Tacomas not selling, people buying Frontiers.
Other videos: Frontiers not selling.
In conclusion: No one can afford anything.
Here in Canada a nicely equipped frontier will cost over 50k. Or spend 10k more and get a 5.0 xlt sport F150. That’s what I did. More payload more towing more space more power same efficiency. Plus ford is offering way better interest rates.
The 5.0 sport is a good combination of features and price.
The Hardbody is an expensive gimmick
I bet the body isn’t a bit harder than a regular frontier.
@@Commentleaver-c6x you know it
Hardbody, since 1986.
It's a play on nostalgia. The original 80's Nissan Hardbody was just as good as the Toyota pickup of that Era. The Nissan rusted far less and the engines were very reliable.
@@hochhaulI'm still driving a 1987 Hardbody. People actually think it's cool again . Had it 29 years now. Took it on a trip last fall, 5 hours each way. It doesn't seem close to 40 years old. I sat in the new Frontier, and with the Acura seats I put in, the ergonomics feel not too different for some reason. Those heated seats were nice though.
White SV Crew Cab 4x4 but the price would have to come way down. Feel like all vehicles are at least 10k overpriced these days.
I had a 21 tacoma and decided to go with the frontier. I made a great decision.
drive one working for Autozone.. love the truck,! I want one with the long bed and no extra doors but the price has to come way down to urge me. maybe China will bring back the basic trucks again soon
Man in the late 90s too middle 2000s Nissan hardbodies were everywhere. Along with the Toyota pick up. The Ford Ranger. The Chevy S-10. With the GMC Sonoma. Mitsubishi and Isuzu pick ups in the mix of these fully loaded was around $14,000. . Today we’re talking $45-$55,000. . These companies aren’t selling with the general public wants. Let them sit. In someway if they go bankrupt it’s on them. What I need is a work truck that I could throw things in the back if I get it dirty I get it dirty. If I get grease on it I get grease on it if I get paint on it, I get paint on it . Reliable and inexpensive is what sells in hard times. The less it cost the better it is.
I bought my first truck, was looking for a basic mid sized that had 4x4. I found 2 new frontiers that were basically the same price, one was an S and the other was a bare bone SV. Surprisingly, the S ended up having more feautures so I went with the S. So i ended up getting the 2024 Nissan Frontier S crew cab 4x4 that had the technology package and utility package for 38k OTD. They wanted 40k and i got them to go down to 38k and i also got a deal that Nissan is currently offering 2.9% APR on frontiers.
Before bought my 2022 V6 Canyon last year in 2023, I drove them all, Nissan Frontier, Chevy Colorado, Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger all of them except for the Honda Ridgeline. Only thing turned me off on the Frontier is that I didn't like the steering on it. Hope they improved on that problem. Then soon after I seen lots of complaints about the steering on that Frontier.
I can understand that Nissan's not selling that have the CVT transmission, but the Frontier is a nice-looking truck with a V6 and 9-speed automatic. I like the looks of the new Rogue, but the CVT ruins the entire car.
Tried to buy a PRO-4X this week, got it down to 43,500 OTD, but I'm not buying until they will sell it for 40k OTD. They aren't hungry enough yet.
I'd get a 2wd S king cab/ 6.5 bed with just the towing package. I wish they still offered the rear seat delete that saved you $1700- !
I just got a 2wd king cab SV for 29,500 in late March. You can't get a better tow vehicle under $30k in the US, probably anywhere. Very pleased so far.
I thought about buying a new generation frontier a year ago. So I went out and looked at used ones. Every single one of them had issues with less than 15k miles. Panels both inside and out coming apart.
Every single one had a leaking rear differential. Some were even leaking at the pinion seal. At least half had rear doors than didn’t close properly.
These things are not built well in my opinion.
And I’m not a fan of full GDI engines. And Nissans designs appears to be begging for valve-train issues.
And lastly, they suck off road. The traction controls are so intrusive you have to have a pro 4x with a locker just to do simple tasks.
Watch Sarah in tuned climb a simple hill.
She had put it in 4-low and lock the rear differential just to climb it. When most other vehicles we’re doing it in 2 wheel or open 4 wheel.
It’s a shame because it really is a nice looking truck overall.
Where I live there’s no selection of Frontiers. Looking for a Pro 4x ? Forget it, especially if you want a specific color.
