That looks SOOOOO much better than the original bumper. Never understood how GM could’ve gotten the ‘60-‘66 styling so perfect and then used THAT rear bumper. Somebody must’ve been up all night trying to beat a deadline. This might be blasphemous, but back in the 80’s a buddy of mine had a ‘66 C10 with a rear bumper from a ‘66 Phord truck. It fit almost as perfectly as that ‘67-‘72 and had the license plate bracket and lights incorporated into it. It looked more factory than factory...if that makes any sense. Thanks for an excellent upgrade video.
Our pleasure!
Dave, you the man with rear bumper swap. You are right though, as people are going to look at it and say “Wait a minute, what’s different and cool going on back here”.
“Watch out Chip, someone named Dave is nipping at you heels with the bumper swaps!” Dave, you the man!

Thanks Dean!
Sharp truck, you guys did a good job, bumper looks great, I have a 66 step side, bought alot parts from Brothers, thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure!
Got me considering this now. It looks much better.
Right on! Thanks for watching!
Thank you David! this is an awesome and like you said subtle upgrade for my 66 GMC. Now I 've got to jump on this project. It does look great! Thanks again.
Thanks for watching!
I wish I had Dave’s hair….kickin it Dave!
That truck looks gorgeous! And the bumper makes it look even better.
Thanks!
Looks great!! Gonna have to do the same to my 64
Nice job, thanks David
Our pleasure!
Really nice job Dave! That looks so clean!! Thank you Sir!
Thanks!
Slick upgrade to the bumper! Those license plate lights are great! Didn’t see how the exhaust tips turned out.
We used a couple of slip-on chrome turn downs for the exhaust. looks nice because they don't hang out anymore and it's clean!
Nice touch 👌
Hi there. Fun fact. In Argentina the 67-72 C10s have those taillights, tailgate and bumper...The bed goes like the USA until the bed corner... Unlike the cabs, the beds were locally produced...
I mean the bumper you have installed.
That's awesome, would love to see pictures!
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV I'd love to share pictures of Argentina's and Brazilian's c10 trucks too.
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV ua-cam.com/video/8l9R73wLql8/v-deo.html thats a good video about it
I don't know how I missed this one. That's not my build but I learn something from every video. I'm building a 53 Chevy 3100 drag and drive with a 1000 hp 6-71 blown inline 6 292. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Very cool!
Looks great 👍
Nice!
Beautiful
Thanks!
How about a video of replacing stepside wood bed and trim.. p.s sponsor a brother .. love the videos
We have a complete bedwood video already. It's done on a fleetside but all the techniques are exactly the same. Search our How-To video archive and check it out.
62 shut out again!
Works on a '62 also, just not with bolt-on brackets like with the '63+.
what bumper brackets do I need to perform this install with a GMC leaf spring truck? There are 2 different brackets on your site.
My 66 will look better with the bumper than the louvered roll pan. My fleetside bed isn"t a 66 so without the backup lights. Just have to figure out the hitch, hidden LED light bar, backup camera, and third brake light. LOL How did the exhaust get finished?
We used a couple of slip-on chrome turn downs for the exhaust. looks nice because they don't hang out anymore and it's clean!
Will this work for a 1960 chevy fleet side truck
I know this video is a year old. You mentioned this will work for 61/62 but not with bolt on brackets.
Does this mean you need to fab your own or is there a kit?
Would this work on a 64-66 step side or is there another bumper that would swap out the stock one. Thanks
It would absolutely fit, but since we've never attempted it we have no idea what it would look like.
I am planning on doing this to my 72 C10. I found the bumper and brackets where do I find the license plate box?
You can find it on our website, the link to it is in the video description.
What does the old bumper look like mounted upside down?
We'll have to try that...
Hi, Have you tried doing the same thing on the front ?
Im thinking the same I have a 1963 c10 and my bunper is all rusty and pick in pull always has front nice bumpers for cheap I might buy one and try it on my 63 c10
@@ChevroletC10andNova
@@ChevroletC10andNova Hi, hey let everyone know how you go mate, Good luck.
Was gonna ask the same thing will the front bumper fit as well… did you try yet
What about a stepside 67 bumper on a 60-66?
Haven't tried it yet.
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV I just did it but my 62 is on an 86 frame so I had to modify the 67-72 brackets to install
I simply turned the rear bumper on my 64 upside down. Looks similar.
Where can I find the rear brackets for this conversion
