From his mannerisms to his words, whether yelling or stone silent, he really captures the essence of an artistic personality that had a tortured soul through his own reckless behavior with drugs. But in the end he comes full circle to realize the power of forgiveness and family and that even through their crazy lives the bond of family is what keeps them going. One of the greatest movies I've ever seen with the greatest ending. This last scene pretty much sums up the entire movie, so much emotion. A movie made way beyond its time. "Eh life's a risk carnal." VATOS LOCOS FORVER HOLMES!"
That’s the heart of the movie, destiny. As hard as you may try to change the course of your life, you can’t change what is destined for you. The decisions every character made in the past was bound to happen at some point in their lives which led to this scene. Remember, whatever is meant to happen, will happen.
I watched this movie like 15 years ago and thought it was great, but watching it again you realise what a fantastic and complete movie it is. They really knocked it out of the park ❤
After all these years this scene still hits hard. I'm the oldest sibling/cousin in the family. I was burdened with being an example. I rebelled against that responsibility. I wasn't a very good one. At first. I've carried the guilt of that failing around far too long. It was MY little brother who taught me to let it go.
And it's crazy how often this happens. Just a couple of homies trying to be down for each other not knowing what the real world is about. All they know is to fight. To survive. Almost brings me to tears seeing it. They don't make films like this anymore.
@@misterabel_9017 I'd say it's pretty interesting, I was born and raised in NY and growing up in schools or outside my house, I was surrounded by a bunch of people from different backgrounds, mostly black and brown folk. Sad that our brotherhood was lost as adulthood kicked in. All that remains is my other OG homie and our bond will never be broken. We are fighters like these guys sparring at the end too. I take it as...it was a pact from the beginning of the movie and as kids growing up in the gang lifestyle. Paco hated Miklo because he wanted everyone to get out (all three of them) after Paco had his wake up call...However Cruz makes Paco realize that it was actually a chain of events that led to Miklo becoming who he became. Yes it's Paco's "fault", but in turn it is actually the fault of gang life. You end up hating each other, especially after one sees a better route (Paco) and one continues down the same path (Miklo). This is also brotherhood. I grew up with older brothers and one who went down the drug and addiction route. I blamed him for it, however not knowing that it was our suffering and how we were raised that led him to that route. I thought I was better than him, but in fact just like Paco, I didn't see the more pain I was causing by not speaking with him. This scene is powerful. I'm a Mexican American who grew up in low-income poverty in NYC, and this (although different Mexican upbringing in states) still hits home because the mindset and cultural mentality of Mexican Americans is somewhat the same (when growing up in low-income neighborhoods).

Phenomenal film! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Paco went from being Mr. Machismo to being the law. Miklo went from finding a way to fit in to being a charismatic leader. Cruz went from being an acclaimed and successful artist to being addicted to drugs. Goes to show that the choices you make not only affect you, but your family and those around you.
Holden Caulfield His baby brother died. It changed him. Then the marines disciplined him. Law enforcement and undercover vice was a natural progression for him. He wanted to fight drugdealers because drugs destroyed his brothers.
this is the best scene. Everything he says is so very true. Sometimes we get lost in the twilight zone and have to go back home to start over. Dont ever forget where you come from.
It’s crazy coming back 25 years later and watching this movie. This really was a classic. For hispanic community in the 80’s-90’s, this movie spoke to the culture so much. It was mom and dad, with traditional hispanic hardworking mentality. Working and saving, working and saving ( pulga on the weekends). Mom usually spoke no English, dads had broken English, but did alright. Kids with too much freedom running the streets reppin that gang life

As someone who is Black & White, extremely fair skin & raised around mainly Black folks & still live around mainly Black folks I know what Miklo felt. Miklo always felt that he wasn't Brown/Mexican enough because his folks were always using Miklo's skin color & his daddy's White blood in his veins to tease Miklo but his neighborhood had much love for him but Miklo took the teasing to heart & looked over the love. Miklo went to hard to prove to his folks & folks in prison how Brown/Mexican he was, so now Miklo being the head over 1000's Brown/Mexicans that make the body Miklo finally felt "truly 100%" Brown/Mexican and that no one would ever question it or tease him.

@@cecilansonbecause miklo was running a muck, and he forgave Cruz bc Cruz was falling apart and he didn’t want to see him throw his life away.. miklo already was in some deep deep shit so in a way he couldn’t forgive a criminal because miklo was just fucken crazy lol
i always love a movie with a tuff ending I'm not chicano imma Puerto Rican from NYC & this movie was dope bailamos hasta la muerte primo word up
Maurice Angel Rosado Same here.
"We got something better than a rabbits foot homes, We got Familia" that line gets me every time💯
Phenomenal film! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Paco went from being Mr.
Uhuru Sasa, Black Panther he ended up destroying his family, it all started because of Paco
Butterfly effect
Daisy Montague .
Nah, you missed the point
When you come from this life this scene will make you cry 😢
this is the best scene.
Kids with too much freedom running the streets reppin that gang life
I remember I would watch this movie really late at night before school and it would be light outside by the time this part was on lol
Same bro, same
The nostalgia 😴😴😴
Me too!!! I loved it!
One of the most underrated films ever.
This movie hits hard cuz you never know on what day your life can take a turn. For better or worse
" We come out chased by hounds! Wearing a pinche rabbits foot for luck!" Cruzito said this to me to in person this weekend. It was a badass experience. Best film ever.

I'm from Brazil and this is the BEST movie ever!
I also have my **twenty year old Paasche airbrush** like Cruz.
+Eddie Kasady I don't like brazilian movies!
viva Brazil
+Marcos David Cuz it's super melodramatic like south american culture?
+shiz777 Maybe... but i don't see from this point of view
+Eddie LM oh man City of God and City of Men are AMAZING movies!!
This movie hits far differently as an adult with kids of my own than it did when I was a kid watching it. Glad I revisited this masterpiece of a film.
Jesse is the most down to earth humble guy...just went through an actors workshop with him...such a great actor and awsome person. Was cool learning from him for almost 4 hours...love this movie!!!
They all should of got Oscars..Powerful words and a powerful scene
The end of this film always make me cry like some pendejo. I am reminded of the shadows of my own youth.
one of the most beautifully written tragedy’s of all time.
Forgive your self , guilt is poison 💯 ive learned a lot from this movie my favorite movie 💕👏
Krisna Drew. What else did you learn?
give me some chon chon
Krisna Drew. Very true I've learned to forgive but never forget
Guilt is poison?
You been brainwish to this movie.
This movie is whack, bullshit, mess up, bad examples, demonizing, crap, misunderstanding and rubbish. The worst movie ever.
Also Get Out, Lowriders 2017, My Family, Dolly Dearest, Get Hard, Hall Past, and Pumpkinhead are worst movies too.
Dwayne Cedillos -- Guilt IS poison. Its the cause of so many hardships that people go through. Its step one in people turning to drugs and doing other things that terribly affect their lives in the future.
This scene has a lot of power in it! Swear to god it gives me goosebumps. The spirit homeboy has in this scene makes me proud to be a Chicano.
We come out chased by hounds ! Man this scene has stuck with me since my younger days, every now and then I come for inspiration. 2022 Aqui andamos! Bailamos hasta que nos morimos!

One of my favorite ending scenes in movie history. It sums up the whole movie. Very well acted!
I NEVER get tired of this scene! This is so underrated!
Damn after watching this years after without the glamorization. It’s like one of the greatest endings and conclusions to a story or film.
You ever wish sometimes you could forget a movie? Just so you could rewatch it and feel what you felt the first time you saw it.
This is one of my all time favorite movies. All the acting by all characters was purely beyond awesome. And the ending scene gets me every time
powerful scene, forgiving ourselves is sometimes the hardest thing. #classic
This was the most powerful scene in the whole movie. Everything Cruiz said was real
The ending had me cry like a little bitch.
A very powerful classic
Why can't crying just be crying?
@@dm6652 what do u mean
@@Ricky83838 The op said “crying like a little bitch” but it should be okay to cry. No has to be a bitch haha

Out of the entire movie, this is the best part for me. Such a powerful scene.

Miklo just put out a HIT for the 52 putos that gave this video a thumbs down
One of the greatest scenes. I come back and watch it about every 3 months.
every morning 💁
love the end. they dont make movies like this anymore
One of the best scenes ever… the entire lines said in this scene are simply amazing.
THIS.
This scene goes so hard. My sister passed but she love this movie.
R.I.P. to your sis, she shall be blessed in heaven 🙏🏽.
