Thanks for bringing awareness to folks about cleaning your vents and traps. It can be dangerous. Many people don't become aware of these situations until it's too late. In Australia we have the filters usually on the door which you clean after every use. In Queensland I have seen an outlet for a dryer but it was only a few feet to go outside. To have these kind of outlets is so very dangerous 😮

Mine is easier to clean then some of those. Mine vents directly outside. I clean out the outside trap then go inside and clean out the lint trap in front. And pull out and clean behind the panel. But, boy some of those would be a doozie to clean.
Depending on what kind of businesses are around (if any), the clothes may not smell nice if hung outside. I did try it once when I first married, but while the clothes didn't stink, they certainly didn't have a fresh smell.

Nous aimons nos vêtements super secs en Amérique, pas vos vêtements séchés par condensation. D'accord, certains camping-cars ou autres applications pourraient avoir ce genre de chose. J'espère que Google a traduit cela correctement... car je me souviens très peu des 3 années de français que j'ai suivies au lycée 😅
Why are homes designed to have such long vents for it all to build up? Seems so dangerous. Our current house vents directly outside behind the dryer. I can see the flaps moving so I know it's not clogged. Our last house went up and through to the roof and that dryer never worked well. I'm sure it was clogged but our manager didn't seem to care. It was dangerous. Never left that on while gone.
LOL! Why is this fascinating? It is gross but I am giggling watching this. Wonder if you have come across anything alive in there? Anything valuable? Weirdest thing encased in the lint? How often should this be done? Is it expensive?

I’m in Queensland, don’t even own a dryer, sea breeze and sunshine out on the line.. Have an undercover portable line for wet days..

So if the dryer has too much lint built up inside it won't dry? I always thought that my heating element was bad or I needed a new dryer 🤔
A clogged dryer vent can easily burn out the eating element. Airflow restrictions cause most of the issues with a dryer.
