Many yrs ago my husband had put his clothes in the dryer, turned the lights off, and came to bed. I went into the kitchen about 15 minutes later and with the room being dark, I saw flames 🔥 in the bottom of the machine under the drum. The flames never would have been seen during the day. We were renting and the washer/dryer belonged to the landlord. There was a family renting the basement apt below us.

My husband has a furnace and duct cleaning company and has been in business for 22 years. It's amazing what comes out of a heat duct, and a cold air return. I have been on the job with him at times so I have seen some of the nastiest pipes around. Its especially important to get your furnace and duct cleaning done if you have pets that shed. Also its important to change your filters regularly and to use the correct size and type. If you buy the filters that you can SEE through dust and everything else will go through it as well. Using a pleated paper furnace filter is the best type. 😁

BPA plastic isn't organic and won't be recycled. Its going to contaminate god knows what and where. The next thing you know you and 100 neighbours are doing this thing and it somehow contamintes the water source your favourite brand of water bottles is using. So now you or your kids 50 years down the line end up drinking extra plastic because you are smart "my friend". Think deeper, all this IKEA like and plastics technology is not innovation, just financially smart businesses living in the moment.

only problem with hiring pros is ever since Covid hit and poste covid times, services are 3 to 4x the normal cost pre 2019. We cleaned our metal roof ourselves and used the same pressure washer for the house exterior walls. The chemicals are not difficult to work with, the percentages are known, the methods are common knowledge. We saved easily 4000 dollars or more. You are trading time for the financial savings. It won't get done as fast but who cares, the savings is worth it. Most home owners can do their own cleaning and home repairs just by watching youtube and doing some research.

    8:30
My mother called a company to clean her gutters. And just like this video, they dumped all on her brand new lawn and garden.
ruining her garden and lawn. When she said that she didn't want them doing that, because she just spent a lot of money to do her brand new garden and lawn,
they acted snotty towards her and kept dumping on her garden and lawn. She then called my siblings who are police officers as she was crying on the phone telling them
what was happening. My siblings all came and told the gutter company to stop work and to leave.
The gutter company then put a lean on my moms house,
and tried to take away her house. My mom could not believe what was happening, and that a company that was only there to clean gutters came and ruined her garden & lawn,
now have a lean on her house. Even though they damaged the property and were already paid 50% of the amount for the work, but told to leave because they were damaging the property.
Thank goodness the judge was not taking any nonsense from the cleaning company and the lean was severed after 10 months in court.
Since then, my mom cleans her own gutters or she has one of her children do it when she can't. Never again will she ever call a gutter company.
My mom since no longer trust any company around her house she worked all her life to obtain. My mom & dad also self installed gutter shield, so nothing gets inside.
she went to home depot and purchase a lot of it with my dad, and they installed it. Gutters no longer gets leaves.
Moral of the story is, be careful who you hire to do work at your house. Don't just trust people. and most people will NOT take care of your house.
Because its NOT their house, so they don't care about your house or property. And don't just hire anyone. And ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS make sure you get a permit.
If any contractor or company says you don't need a permit, DO NOT use them. and run away from them.

I say stuff on most sections in case one of these workers actually sees this
(dust section) why dont they use gloves and suits 😫😭 and PLEASE tell me they give a warning to all houses within a mile area at least. It can really disrupt our lives if our allergies are bad for days (mine were debillitating without medication and can be even with it in bad environments)
(gutter section) GLOVES PEOPLE ALWAYS USE GLOVES
(pool section) You've got to wear shoes that won't be damaged by acid, right?
(powerwash section) Why don't you cover up when using anything other than water? Is it not unsafe for the body?
(roofing section) Do you warn the homeowners of they have any doorways or children (or rain) to be careful about anything coming off the roof due to the biocide being left on? Does it need to be redone if it rains very soon after being done?
(machine section) PLEASE COME CLEAN OURS Holy thwip DOES OURS NEED HELP (😒 only cuz my family wont replace it even though it has to be costing us more to keep a broken one)

I own a short haired jack russell. My Roomba sucks up 90% dog hair and then human skin. Roomba is my Friend.

Touching some of these things with your bare hands seem like a great way of getting some kind of cancer. That dark grey and black dust especially.

The look on my face when they reveal the vent build-up and the washing machine nasties... blech.

11:30 😂 "severely electrocuted"? If you're electrocuted, you're already dead... I don't think it gets much more severe than that? 😝

The dust is over a 100 years old.
Yeah, it's been in those vents before they've been built in the 70s.
