- Hands on the Meta Quest 3! I got to try the Quest 3 few weeks early. Here’s my first impressions and an overview of the VR headset, controllers and accessories. Meta Quest 3 is packed with new features including:
- 4K+ Infinite Display technology (2 LCD displays at 2064×2208 pixels per eye enhances resolution by nearly 30% compared to Meta Quest 2
- Full color mixed reality
- 25 PPD and 1218 PPI
- 90Hz, 120Hz (experimental)
- 110 degrees horizontal and 96 degrees vertical FOV
- Pancake lens optical
- 40% slimmer optic profile
- Lens Distance Adjustment Wheel with (IPD) range from 53mm-75mm
- 40% improvement in Audio on Quest 3 from Quest 2

@VRwithJasmine based on the time you had with the quest 3 how would you compare it to the visuals on the PSVR2? I had PSVR2 at launch but chose to return it due to the blur. I am considering ordering quest 3 however wonder if this suffers the same issue?
What about the other impressions that have stated that anything within arms length like a phone gets warped and distorted?
What do you think the Pimax crystal so much clearer the difference is huge or not? And what do you think i have G2 and the center is very clear so the entire FOV is the same sharp as the G2 center? Perhabs so it is worth to upgrade to G2? Or it is worth to by Crystal ? But i am a room scale VR user mostly and i am interested in only PC VR and i will be plan to use Q3 with wireless wifi 6E Thanks this answer in advance
Great Video! I've been wondering about the capabilities of the Quest 3 and if it's upgrading from the 2. Is there a mind-blowing feature that would make it worth it or is it just incremental upgrades besides the weight and wearability factors? BTW< the quality of your videos have been getting so good. Great work!!!!
Idk. I got 1 accessory for quest 2 $30 elite strap style. That’s all you need.
Me and my wife (albeit with our non-average sized heads) didn't even need that
Hopefully you can answer a question nobody seems to have answered because it’s a primarily standalone headset, but is there any word how it performs through link cable and PCVR
Probably similar to Quest 2 and Quest Pro. Works well unless Meta pushes a software update that breaks something 🫣 (happens every now and then)
Should perform like the Quest 2, which was excellent for me. That’s how I played through Half Life Alyx, Lone Echo, BoneWorks, etc.
At least the same. Maybe faster decoding or better AV1 quality but not necessarily.
