RIP Mr. Jeff Beck! I cannot believe his sudden passing. Was so fortunate to see some of his recent live appearances in Phoenix, Arizona and see the magic we all have come to hear and love all these years!
Beck is probably one of the few guitarists that were contemporaries of Hendrix that didn't get completely blown away when Jimi came on the scene. Mainly, because Jeff had a different style than most of the others and that his stuff is really complex on a compositional level. He is more than just an axe man. He's a great composer / arranger. Lots of guys can play the crap out of an axe, and noodle away on solosf. But few can truly create something unique and good at the same time.
Jeff set the bar so high! Only those who loved his joy of playing such beautiful tunes know he played from his heart. Thanks to those that keep him alive through his music.
