This should be illegal not to like this more than once!
for the 60 plus white crowd maybe
This man has the style, the class. The band has the flow. The overall is perfection.
This man comes directly after Eric Clapton in the entire performance...sensational...what a musician...completely underrated...for me "Mister Blues Bonnamassa"...!
Yes, but who comes before Clapton? It has been said that Stevie Ray Vaughn may have been better than Hendrix or Clapton!! Maybe? I love me some Stevie, fo' sho', bro'!!!
I thing it's the other way around joe comes first he's been playing since he was 4 years old
😂@@robertgodlessboblee5464
SRV blows Clapton out of the water!!!! Clapton is very overrated.
@@surf101- I have to greatly agree. Clapton just got lucky to be at the right place, at the right time. Loads of better guitarists.
Kirk Fletcher, great player in his own right playing the Solo on the Gibson Les Paul (his style is very much like Albert king often times so probably why Joe let him take the Solo being an Albert King Classic!) What's more Amazing is that Joe's Playing Albert Kings Actual "Flying V"! - Just phenomenal piece of History being made there.. 👌😎🎸🏴🇬🇧
Is he playing it upside down? I’m confused why the “Albert King” typing on the neck is upside down
@@christinathein951wouldn’t surprise me! Good catch😄
The story with Albert's guitar on this tour is definitely worth reading up on
Joe is the classiest gentleman of blues guitarist, of all time and has an incredible orchestra to back him up with his Sofisticación.
That organ player is having the best time of his live ride on brother
Love how Joe acknowledges all his band members, his smile is one of respect as he was playing rhythm for the other guitarist's solo. He seems like he treats everyone as his equal. What a showman!
That’s Kirk Fletcher a great player in his own right.
Thanks I forgot the name and yes he's a great guitarist!!@@JackR617
This performance and this song is the first I had seen /heard of Joe Bonamassa.. I sat there mesmerized by this man and his music.. so moving and I’ve been hooked ever since! Love him ♥️🎶
Joe is one amazing guitarist. He was a child prodigy and his genius shows in all his playing. One of the best to carry on the legacy of the Blues into the future. We need more artists like Joe and this stuff should be mainstream radio displacing most of the garbage cookie cutter pop tunes that are more noise than music. The Blues have soul and purpose and bring people together no matter their background. It's intellectually stimulating too.
He’d been playing since he was a kid. There’s vhs learning tapes now on utube. It took him yrs slow and hard work to become well known. I think touring relentlessly and when he went to the UK something changed. He did the Royal Albert Hall dvd and was on the cover of Guitarist magazine. He put out the Royal Albert Hall dvd and that set things in motion. I have that dvd but tbh I like this one better. FYI that’s Kirk Fletcher playing rhythm. He’s a top notch player himself. That’s Stevie Ray Vaughan’s keyboard player.
you have to see him in concert i just seen him two nights ago it was the best performance i've ever seen and i have seen alot.
Seen him on PBS and heard he was coming to Rochester NY, so I had to go see him, was, great concert!!!!
If he's nearby in concert, go see Joe! Is amazing!
Just watched 1972 Albert King playing the same song on the same guitar! Joe does it proud!
Thanks for directing me there. Actually discorvering Albert threw Joe!
An amazing performance from Joe and his wonderful all stars band and borrowing a phrase from Keith Richards of the Stones "the band isn't too shabby"
Reese Wynams on the organ is just perfect. The whole band is spot on.
Reese Wynans is the number 1
And Chris "Whipper" Layton is now playing for Kenny Wayne Sheperd
Girls?
Mahalia Barnes, Jade McCrae and Juanita Tippins, amazing artists in their own right!
@@tomaszkluska6419
I was fortunate enough to meet Reese at a hotel bar after a JB gig a few years ago. He was a genuinely lovely guy who took the time to have a (borderline) lengthy conversation with me about his career and passion for music. Such a humble superstar of a man and to take the time to do that after hours of slapping the keys was an absolute privilege. What a legend.
I was at this concert. Perfect night, great music, full moon, warm L.A. weather. It was amazing !
You provoke me to envy!🤣🤣
You're a lucky guy!
This is true. The concert was in St. Petersburg.
Albert would have been proud to hear Joe's version.
Albert is smiling in heaven hearing that wonderful playing by Joe and the whole band! What a tour de force performance and ensemble!
I'LL PLAY THE BLUES FOR YOU
If you're down and out and you feel real hurt
Come on over to the place where I work And all your loneliness I'll try to soothe
I'll play the blues for you
Don't be afraid come on in You might run across some of your old friends
All your loneliness I gotta soothe I'll play the blues for you
I got no big name and I ain't no big star I play the blues for you on my guitar
All your loneliness I'll try to soothe I 'll play the blues for you
This boy fell into a giant barrel of blues...he didn't drown...he drank it all...to the last drop...
I think it’s absolutely incredible that Sir Joe Bonamassa allows his rhythm player to take a lead during play the blues for you.
That's Kirk Fletcher, Top Blues player in his own right and his style is very much Albert king often times so probably why as it's in his lane... Amazing also is that Joe's Playing Albert Kings Actual Flying V! Just phenomenal piece of History. 👌😎🎸🏴🇬🇧
Love the dude on the keyboards
Looks like he is playing Albert Kings guitar King of the blues 💙
Yes
Whenever I'm completely down...I listen to JB's music...and hey presto...I feel better...it's like medicine...only better...!
and one faso
That must be an amazing feeling for joe to play Albert's song with Albert's flying V guitar
❤ ❤ ❤
We are living in a movie.
Whenever I listen to this song it blows my mind...I think I'm addicted to it....and Joe's music. Thanks for sharing...
If you notice this, Joe gives the opportunity to express himself to absolutely everyone in this friendly community of musicians and at the same time you can always feel his elusive sense of guiding the movement of musical sounds in this kaleidoscope of everyone's talents.Bravo, dear Joe!!!
I'm a Blues Lover, decades of listening to the best.. THIS IS THE BEST Joe is the best there is today
any others that come to mind?
Yes he is
I got to play this song last night at an open mic with Robin Beach on vocals !!! The daughter of Jerry Beach ,the man who wrote this song. It was a BLAST !!
🤠🎸🎶🎶🎶🤙
Wow
I think it was 1997 or 1998, I got to see Jerry Beach in person. I have the CD I'll Play The Blues For You signed by him and his band.
@@ronniesmith8941 that’s really cool. Jerry never got the credit he deserved.
Oh yeah , that's a lotta Bonamassa ... Clapton on the 1st Wave , Joe on the 2nd Wave !
Joe will keep the Blues a rollin' along ...
Love Joe! And that guitar tho… 🎸 RIP Albert King 👑
Albert first recorded it. But it was actually written by Jerry Beach. I got to play it with his daughter last night. I also thought it was Alberts song. I was quickly informed otherwise. Lol.
🤠🎸🎶🎶
Albert's daughter, or Jerry's?@@theofficialdiamondlou2418
Hi Joe I needed this today it is a bluesy kind of sunday
Happy Sunday
Daniel Castro version was #1. Superb but, I love Bonamassa style and delivery - Nothing like THE BLUES in any version especially this song. Lyrics. Arrangement. Horns. MY GOD IT DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THIS!!! Bless you all
Ad me to that list too!!!
A 'jazzed' & 'funked' rendition of this song! Great stuff!
I actually like Joe's version best. Great song
@jamesshall8455 Yes Castro's version is my favorite!!
Обожаю эту музыку. Привет из Москвы! I love this music. hello from Moscow

Сделали потрясающе красиво, не просто песня, а коктейль из звука👍🤩
WOW 💜🎸🔥🔥🔥
Spare a thought for that absolute masterpiece of a keys arrangement. God tier
Rest In Peace Michael Rhoads, arguably the best bass player Memphis ever produced.
I do believe he is playing Albert Kings guitar as well.
I can't get enough of this guy. Reminds me of Jeff Healey..
The Greek Theater is an awesome venue.
Joe bringing that old guitar back to life doesn't get any better!
Doing that Albert King Flying V justice.
Super guitariste et superbe interprétation vocale 👋🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵👍👍🥰🥰
Great track. Great live. I enjoy the instrumental, personally....true test of great music. When it can stand alone without lyrics. So impressive.
Oh...I forgot...his band is absolutely perfect...also sensational...every single one...!

I will never leave u no matter what
Magnificent !!! Brother Soldiers who died somehow come alive ???
American blues player, one of the very best !!!
this is classsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Joe you have matured into a wonderful bluesman. You have slowed it down to where it's supposed to be and you are in the groove. You might not be white anymore.
Love this one,i found Joe a few years ago always wanted to see him live which I got to do this year for my 71st birthday thats i off the bucket list😊
Fantastic!
wow just discovering him (im out of the loop big time) this is AWESOME
I like the professionalism. Bravo!
Группа музыкальных гениев. Очень мощно и великолепно. Бонамаса как всегда на высоте!!!
Well said! This is a great song
@@ptjzmemory 😊
Play the blues for me Joe💞
Oh man... That first bend Mr. Fletcher does... It cuts deep...
OOOOHH...some great guitar sounds there...lovely Flying Vee...BUT...that Les Paul just blew me away...!!!
I absolutely love him and the talent!!!!🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Well you know Reese was a Oregon player for Stevie Ray Vaughan many many years ago which is awesome and a lot of the horn players are old jazz and late night with Leatherman so that's awesome
Right... It's a pleasure having people around knowing Rock & Roll history on site
These performers are all pros in their own right. How can you go wrong with that lineup of talent up there? Love the beautiful lady singers Mahalia, Jade and Juanita, they bring the best to this @@kalinnikolov3876
What can I say.. Just AMAZING
