This week, by virtue of a corrupt politician from a kids' movie, we're stuffing a turkey with pizza, deep-frying it, and dunking it in chocolate. Can we make something halfway edible out of this heavily-photoshopped thumbnail? Only one way to find out!

How about trying a treat from Arthur for your next video
you gave me a heart attack there
@@Wumbo920 that’s alvin’s job
I was literally in the process of calling the cops
Could you make any of the cheese monstrosities from chefclub, that was all I could think about when you were making the first pizza stuffed turkey.
I love how he didn’t waste time on the origin dish, he just outright said, “This was gross let’s do the better version.”
hopefully it was okay with the chocolate scraped off and eaten separately.
I was gladly reminded of the video about Peters sandwich and how much banish learnt from the experience
I think if he had spent any more time on the original dish he'd be arrested for telling people how to make chemical weapons.
Nah he should have done the original first.
same lol
I’m Mexican and as he kept adding in more ingredients I was thinking “This looks mexican… is that mole?”.
It was actually an amazing idea, mole pairs very well with turkey and does include chocolate.
Actually "Pavo con mole" is a mexican clasic
Yum :)
Yeah when I saw the chillies and thinking about how he'd add chocolate, mole came to mind, delish
yo pensé lo mismo, dije "a cabrón, parece mole" y si era xd.
mole de guajolote diría mi abuela
He's done Mole before for the Car Panini from Family Guy, featured in the Giant Omelet video from Regular Show
I love the "Mozarella will do in a pinch", in case this dish is something I would happen to spontaneously make on a sunday night
This genuinely feels like something you'd try to make when ridiculously high.
idk, you're all saying this like it's ridiculous, but the pizza stuffing by itself is pretty reasonable and looks delish
It's more that it you live in like fucksville, Nebraska, they may just not have it in any nearby stores
Honestly, I do occasionally spontaneously make some Babish recipes.... OCCASIONALLY.
@@OatmealTheCrazy Jeez, as a Nebraskan, I feel attacked.

5:28 "Now for the deep-fried turkey element of the turkey we're gonna deep fry a turkey."
well thank you for elaborating so generously on that, Babish. was wondering what that element was gonna be about.
I would have had no idea what he was talking about if he didn't say that
Had me stumped what he was gonna do for the whole video.

I'm Mexican and it admittedly took me a while to realize Andrew was making mole. It's so ubiquitous over here than people who are not abuelitas rarely make their mole from scratch, you can just buy it in tetrapak cartons.
Me perdi por un minuto en lo que estaba diciendo y pense que estaba haciendo quinoa XD
Not surprising, most cooking is lost to time and conveniences of a pre-package.
the idea of him making a mole hit me right when he started using dried up chiles because they’re somenthing quite unique of the mexican cuisine, but once he started roasting spices, nuts and used crackers, i literally said to myself, if that ain’t a mole you can’t no longer call yourself mexican. But i definitely agree, it’s one of the single most scarce things seeing other people but abuelitas and pro chefs make their own mole, so much so that even to us is quite an impact seeing the complex process, of such a beautiful and unique yet taken-for-granted sauce in our culture.
Yo juré que haría picadillo o algo por las pasas jajajajajjaja
best joestar as your profile picture i see
I audibly said "¡¿va a hacer mole?!"/ "¡¿Is he making mole?!" when you wiped out the chiles.
I'm from Puebla, the city where that dish originated and I tell you that is the most delicious thing, great seeing you use inspirations from that many different cultures, ¡it's just awesome!

More Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs please! The food in both movies were INSANE and I’d love to see and Andrew could do with them.

I want that injected directly into my veins.
Even babish knows he can’t waste a turkey on this nuclear waste of a meal
It's always fun to see the different directions people's thought processes take when it comes to the better versions of these weird foods, while Babish made mole for the chocolate my immediate thought was a sweet chocolate curry, just with turkey instead of the beef or tofu I usually use
That sounds awesome as well! Maybe make a turkey katsu, and treat it kind of like chicken parmigiana, to emulate the pizza aspect. With the right seasoning, that could work pretty well.

Pro Tip: Before you go out to the store for some of these not-so commonly used spices [depending on your usual cuisine] check the very back of your pantry/spice rack. Chances are, you still have some leftover from the last time you made one of Babish's dishes.
Wish someone reminded me of this before I bought anise seed.. for the third time. You're welcome.
I would call you clumsy for buying spices a third time, but I own 2 sets of allen keys.

Babish can make even the most bizzare and childish dishes seem very professional, culinary
friendly and sometimes even healthier depending how he uses the ingredients.
When combining chocolate and meat the translation key is spicy peppers, brine, and/or flaky salt. See chocolate dipped red pepper bacon for reference.
That sounds oddly delightful
When combining chocolate and meat the longer word for sin
Pizza stuffing seems a bit rare, but it stuffed in turkey seems insane.
I love how Babish is just like: "I made it, it's bad; here's how to do it better."
Can't wait for Babish's next recipe: *Making a sentient Gummy Bear from Cloudy With a Chance of Meatball*

Omfg Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs is one of my all time favorite movies. This is perfect!
That movie makes me sad. Idk all the gluttony is upsetting.
@@AudreyII- I feel like that's part of the intended message, on top of being a silly kids movie.
I read the book as a kid - it's best to keep them separate in your head. I love both, but they are very very different animals.
For one: none of the characters have names. There is definitely not this crispy golden moment where you realize that the mayor has gone off the deep end of the fry vat. I am pretty sure the cause of the weather phenomena is never explained, but there is more variety to it: one of my favourites is the fog as thick as split pea soup (which is based on an English saying).
That said, I love the movie as much as I love the book, and really felt like Flint was supposed to be someone like me - just, he actually made his wacky inventions, rather than just hoarding random junk for "science".
@@flabort that's a neat experience to hear about. I totally forgot the film was based based a book!
@@Jormyyy My parents didn't even realize that it was, which is why they were confused why I wanted to see a little kids movie in my late teens. I read the book in elementary school though, and it stuck with me.
This is possibly the most anticipated Babish recipe of the year, but Babish pratcically skips the actual recipe and goes straight to the "I think we can do better." I'm really glad you milk steaked this one; definitely the right call.
This feels like an old school babish episode and it’s very comfy, keep it up!
This reminds of of the movie Chocolat. I rewatched it the other day. There's a scene where they have a luscious meal and every course included chocolate, but I'm not sure what they were eating 🤔 Will you make the luscious, chocolate mystery meal?
You turned a disaster into something that looked delicious. Bravo.
Oh my gosh... He actually did it. And that revised recipe looks delicious.
I feel like the grocery bill would be like $300 for this recipe alone 😅
That pizza stuffing looks amazing.
Binging with Babish idea that might be fun to play around with: the fox millet ramen from Dr. Stone. To be accurate to the show, all of the ingredients have to be made as close as possible to wild ingredients that Senku used in the show to make his stone-world ramen.
didn't they say in the show that when they used fox millet, the noodles came out very gritty?
@@ichigopockychan they did. But to someone that never even heard of ramen it’d be quite delicious still
I love how you have expanded my recipe knowledge like the Timpano. There is one I really wish you would tackle though. That is the Galapagos Island Dish from Master and Commander.
This is the kinds of stuff I wouldn’t dare trying to make but is still really fun to watch for a reason there is no explanation for
You know, after all these movie foods, I’ve got to wonder how you make chocolate work with meat and other savory foods.
Like chocolate that hasn’t been completely watered down with several spices and other flavors.
use high % chocolate so the fruity and bitter is more prominent than the sweet. or, you know, mole!
@@JeremyForTheWin hmm, interesting…
I was also wondering if you could use that charred cocoa flavor when it’s slightly burnt 🤔
Im not a big cooking person so I'd love to see babish experiment
@@Aisha_Luv as someone said, spiciness is a very easy way to make it mix with meat.
There's a reason you've never seen it sold in stores
Don't use pre-made chocolate, or if you do, use unsweetened Baker's chocolate.
I use dark cocoa in a lot of savory dishes to get a deep, smoky flavor that's very rich and savory.
It brings a lot of depth to a dish.
Broke with Babish is one of the most requested things on this channel.
Thus, I propose a collaboration with Life of Boris, who can teach you about the food of the poor.
Boris+Babish..I never thought of that but now I want it
Amen, comrade.
The amount of Boris comments on Babish's Chicken Kiev makes me think they could collab for a Botched episode
Was aiming for Dunking with Babish where this week, he goes to the Streets of Harlem to play one on one with a Globetrotter legend.
@@Hesstig I was going to say a collab might be hard because of the distance
But then Boris went to Dubai so idk
Fun fact about Mole: the legend of its origins is that, in Puebla, Mexico, a Bishop was going to visit a local convent, but the Sisters had little to no time to prepare for his arrival, so one of the nuns had the idea to make chicken, which was quick and always on hand, and just make a sauce out of odds and ends that they had in the convent kitchen. The Bishop loved it and now Mole is a staple food in Mexico, with many varieties popping up as more and more people experimented with what could go into the sauce.
Try some Mole on white rice and chicken/turkey, you won't regret it. They even sell it prepackaged in some stores so all you really need to do is heat it up.
Always love the ones where you take a gross dish and make a better version of it
I got inordinately excited at the mere concept of mole. Like, as soon as the chilis came out, I was shouting “He’s making mole isn’t he!?”
I don’t know why I got so hyped. I’ve never had or made mole in my life.
It's like watching a strongman lift 500 pounds. I could never do that; look at how talented he is!
Mayor: I declare this dish to be delicious!
No
i love the fact that you not only do the original like thing from the show, but also try to make it better!! i love your videos please keep making them lol
I love how No matter what babish is doing he's always throwing it back to hungry kids. Everyone involved should be proud
Now the question is…can you make Mrs. Morales’ soup from Spider verse? Or Lynn’s Katie Cupcakes from Mitchels vs The Machines? You’ve conquered one Lord and Miller property, onto the next.
He hasn't done anything from the Lego Movie so technically he needs to conquer their food.
If you want the meatiness of the turkey to cut through the mole a little, you should make the mole a little sweeter. Thanks to the chocolate mole does tend to be a little sweet, but you can definitely make it sweeter and that lets the meat contrast with it. Just don't make it overly sweet, because that can happen and it's no fun to try to correct
As soon as I seen mayor's request cloudy with a Chance of meatballs I knew that you're going to do a Mexican sauce I just need to find some way to do it without onion, allergic and I got BEATEN by a Mexican granny, she called em the anti Christ hahaha
I love all of these videos. They’re sooooo relaxing to watch. Plus the food always looks amazing!!
I never knew how happy i'd be to hear Bruce Campbell's voice appearing in a Babish episode.
I'm scared, but I'm so curious to see how this one ends up.
I’ve been waiting for this episode forEVER!!!
'Pizza stuffing' might be the best phrase this show has blessed us with.
I knew it had to be mole as soon as I saw the chilis !!! It's one of my favorites 💕 I still probably wouldn't do your version because here in Mexico you can get the base for the mole in glasses or packs, so it's way more convenient than doing everything from scratch
Problem with buying pre-made is that it normally varies in flavor. My grandma makes it from scratch and I don't like mole if its not made by my grandma
On any day in December, make Who-Pudding/Fruitcake Fa-la-la/fudge from the live-action How The Grinch Stole Christmas movie

I think there's another option for the mayor's request. Do as you did before, but use a slice of cheese pizza instead of pepperoni. Deep fry it, but don't douse the entire thing in chocolate sauce. Put some warm chocolate sauce in a cup on the side, for dipping into.
I was literally thinking about you doing this the other day, you have no idea how hyped I was when I saw this in my suggested videos
I’d prefer to order it separate as a Pizza inside a Turkey, deep-fried, and chocolate coated all at once is complete overkill.
