Actually ... we've had some pretty bad ones.
We got cut off from the rest of Aus for a while there. Plus, as well as dealing with our fires, some of our volunteers have gone over to help the eastern state fire services.
It's gonna be a long fire season.
My town got hit pretty hard in Western Australia, petrol station blew up and our national park is gone

Growing up in Massachusetts, there was/still is this dessert called a “Cool Dog” which is a cake batter bun, vanilla ice cream in the shape of a hot dog, topped with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and rainbow sprinkles. It was like a sundae you could eat with one hand

I miss when you used to make the screen-accurate version, then make it again your own way. I loved getting to see how your mind worked and how your ingenuity in the kitchen could elevate joke food items into actual cuisine. It's cool seeing you bring something to life, but it's truly awesome when you make it YOURS.

For fluffier “buns” you could’ve piped the meringue onto the mold with a wide round tip.
OR piped it freehand starting with the bottom of the bun and adding walls in a sorta U shape.

Same here honestly it was really heartwarming, i've had some fires burning about 20km from my land and it's pretty scary. I can't imagine how broken some people in nsw and more damaged areas are and i can't believe how negligent scott morrison has been about it.

I actually love how you mythbusters-esque do the actual recipe and then the best way without deviating away from the original. I especially love how you take all these serious. Makin pancakes makin bacon pancakes.
