How to Catch Lake Trout and Jigging for Kokanee with Buzz Bombs

In this video we show you some things we do and teach you how to catch lake trout. We used buzz bombs and caught kokanee and lake trout while jigging with the saw lure.

While I don't normally use treble barbs, the kokanee caught in this video was caught on treble barbs. We use what we are allowed to in a lake when we are fishing depending on the target species and intention of the fishery. The kokanee was caught on treble hooks which helped us land it.
For lakers, I like to use barbless treble hooks at this time. We changed lures many time this day depending on our target species. That being said, I've heard a few people say that contrary to popular belief, barbed hooks might actually be better for the fish than barbless because they stay in place while barbless hooks can come out of the mouth and get stuck back in again. There was a study where I read about this, but at this time I can't remember where it was done.
