    Just wanna thank you for sharing your experience with us
    We are truly on a path most people nowaday wouldn't even think about because this digital world really createt weak-minded people.
    And it's truly an honor to understand that you can have control over your mind throug understanding these instant gratification activities are actually harming ones ability to live a truly happy live
    Thank you and stay strong❤️

      @Hamza97  4 роки тому +23

      You’re welcome. It’s a hard path, you fall off and you’re back into the normal world where it feels so hard to come back here. The digital world has been carefully designed to be as addictive as possible simply because of profits. But that comes at the cost of our individual mental health.
      This lifestyle is the cure to many of the symptoms the majority of people are feeling today but it is a difficult process to abandon ones addictions, especially when they revolve around the ‘social’ life someone has and the fact that we’re addicted to something we keep on us/next to us literally 24/7.

      Major W, what we miss out on 'normal' aspects of a social life in modern times, we gain in long term progress and success, therefore creating happiness and true fulfilment which are the two major goals anyway. I hope you find great benefits from your hard work in the detox. Welcome to the club 🤝 I'm grateful you commented.

    hey hamza, great video. One question, when you say you are doing a sustainable dopamine detox, are you still checking like social media or some messages but only for a very limited time?

    • @Hamza97
      @Hamza97  4 роки тому +16

      Yes I’m checking messages and comments. I wanted to reduce my pointless scrolling which was wasting time but definitely want to keep the conversations I have with friends and comments on my videos for channel growth and sharing/learning knowledge.
      I also use Reddit to share these videos and that means I have to be a little bit active on there too. I try to keep them at a minimum but honestly sometimes I find it difficult. As soon as I go on Instagram to message (1 friend who we speak in Instagram DMs) it’s like my eyes and my attention gets spiked and I actually find it hard to remain concentrated. Same with Reddit. I go on to share my videos and end up quickly reading whatever posts are right in front of me. I actually have to put some effort in to take my eyes off the screen and focus on why I’m on that platform.
      Scary stuff when that’s happening to me and I’m putting in so much effort for it to not happen. I can truly understand how people feel addicted to these sites.

    Great video, and BTW, I love the " Special Content " after the ~15 min where the "elite gang" stays to watch the video. That in itself can become one of your unique things for the culture of this channel.
    I also HIGHLY suggest you watch some of Alex Becker's video ( Great Entrepreneur), and his strategy to retain people's attention, pretty original, good to implement it here perhaps.
    I also predict that if you keep the consistency, your channel will become big by a year's time dude, KEEP IT UP Brother!

    • @Hamza97
      @Hamza97  4 роки тому +2

      I'm really glad I thought of that, once only the people really interested in this topic are viewing, I may as well talk with 100% honesty and be unfiltered in what I say. I will continue doing so for all of my long videos so watch out for that :)
      I have watched a few of Alex's videos previously, I'll take your advice and make some notes of his tactics.
      I believe so too, I set a performance (not results) focused goal on sticking to a schedule of 3 videos a week for the rest of 2020, uploading on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So far I've been crushing it and seeing some major growth with so many new people to discuss these interesting concepts with in the comments, like you 🤝 I'm grateful for all of your recent comments. Cheers

      Completely agreed, I somewhat neglected traps (3 sets a week) and started neck training just one year ago but I have been infrequent with that also. In the last two months I've added a much bigger focus onto these areas so we'll look out for the progress. I'll be sure to include a little clip of that in upcoming fitness related videos.

    If attention spans were that short these days podcasts wouldn’t be so popular I think🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, thats really cool you’ve been self-improving for 6 years, what are the main things you did?

    • @Hamza97
      @Hamza97  4 роки тому +3

      That’s a good point I didn’t consider. I’m 23, I started weightlifting and focusing on positive progress when I turned 17. I spent a whole lot of time researching and implementing methods to improve my confidence, self-esteem, happiness and physical attractiveness for a few years.
      In the last year or so I started levelling this up massively. I spent a great deal of time learning to create online businesses. One is profitable to this day. I worked on improving my mental health and found out that the major thing I needed was to become more mindful. So I started meditating around 1 year ago but didn’t become consistent until this detox on May 12th.
      I take online courses in courseara which I did not mention on the video but highly recommend because that’s where I learnt a lot of knowledge on the real scientific research on what makes people happier. Turns out none of the conventional things actually do and the biggest factors are internal, mainly mindfulness and gratitude. So I doubled down on those.
      The main thing has been solidifying a progressive mindset. That all originated from lifting weights.
