"Don't treat me bad" is one of my driving anthems......their best song.
Absolutely my favorite song by them, I sang it so much that my brother can’t stand it anymore. Now I’ll just butcher the hell out of the last section with the killer high notes just to annoy him.
They don't have a best song.
Reach for the sky is my favorite 🤘🤘
Class song. Would be good to see Alex cover this song.
Overnight Sensation was mine 😂
Love me some Firehouse. Sadly they are too underrated.
That is true!! Firehouse came out right at the end of hair metal!!
*🔝🔝Thanks You've been selected for a m1pro Mac book and ps5 prize!!!💯 To Claim telegram only✅*
I absolutely agree I saw them live two times back in the day
If you're heading down the hair metal road, you need to check out Cinderella, LA Guns, Stryper, and Great White... But you NEED to listen to Steelheart "Never Let You Go". Holy hell you will be blown away by his voice!!
Cinderella and Great White. Both fantastic blues based rock n roll bands from the 80s and early 90s.
Cinderella should be the next hair band that he does
@mykelvan I've seen both bands love a couple times! Michael Sweet is an incredible singer, and a nice guy! His last name is apt haha
Perry Richardson the bassist for Firehouse is now in Stryper…. Yes, they are still around and quite good
@Stefan Tsarev Ah how did I miss it?!!
Big hair rock bands loved the POWER BALLADS! Its just what rock bands do
Lighters up!!!! 🔥
" Don't Treat Me Bad " and " All She Wrote " are definitely musts from Firehouse. They are now touring with Lita Ford and I think some with Loverboy.
@JKShep3 A few more actually, I figured I would give him 2 of the many.
Add Shake & Tumble to that list
There entire first album is fire. When I Look Into Your Eyes from the second album is worth a listen. CJ Snare has one of the best vocals of the hair band era.
Both albums were good...the rockers were better even then the ballads...the guitar sound was awesome...ballsy
Clicked the video since it is Firehouse. They are underrated. Please react to other of their songs. They have tons of good songs. Cheers 😃
The acoustic guitar was there just for the opening and any other acoustic melodies needed per song. Usually it would be attached to a stand that guitarist could walk away from and come back to when needed. Also, this album as released in 1990, which is why you're getting 80s vibes from it.
*Thanks for you comment text me above ☝️☝️*
Overnight Sensation by FireHouse is one of the most metallic songs from them. Pretty fuckin' great song!
Hey Alex! Thank you for bringing Firehouse to the channel! I recommend: All she wrote, Reach for the sky, Hold your fire, Hold the dream, Love is a dangerous thing, When I look into your eyes, I live my life for you, Don´t treat me bad, Here for you... hahaha, the list goes on... is a fantastic band! Underated...
@Pete Hawkins I love that solo too ! Also the solo from Hold your fire.... amazing!
Niiiiice. Hold the Dream.....that solo ❤️
This is the song my wife and I danced to at our wedding!
Dude PLEASE, if you're gonna check out more 80s hair metal, check out Dokken and Cinderella 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Dokken is seriously my favorite Heavy Metal band of all time
@Krista Gomez I can't even pick a favorite lol but unchain the night and alone again are up there for me. Also the hunter is so bad ass and bluesy, they just fuckin rule
@Reckless_ Ghost Dokken is incredible, I think Breaking the Chains and Dream Warriors are my favorites
@Krista Gomez Dokken is my all time favorite 80s hair metal band, George Lynch and Don Dokken are just a dynamic duo!!! But Cinderella I feel like is kinda underrated
Cinderella is my favorite. Last Mile. Oh yeah.
"Don't walk away" is their best song. Check it out!
yes... love it in The Wrestler
Don’t walk away is great by firehouse and don’t walk away by danger danger are both some of the greatest 80s hair metal songs ever
Now you have to check out their entire discography, that's just one of the best Hard Rock band of the 90's
Love Firehouse. They would have been much bigger, but they came in towards the end of the hair band era. If they had come along several years earlier they would have huge.I have seen them in concert a couple times in the last 5 years and CJ's voice sounds exactly the same. So damn good. I even got CJ to do a Cameo for my wife for our anniversary and he sang this song to her.
This is one of my wife’s favorite songs. This hit number 5 in 1991. This was played at So Many Weddings! And, Alex, great songs are great songs regardless of the listener’s generation.
Discovered Firehouse back in the 90's and I still listen to them now. Glad you are spreading the word
Check out the first single Escape of the new project "K-usura" !!It slaps AF.
Thanks Great fansHit me up, you have been shortlisted ☝️☝️☝️
Checkout Tesla "Love Song" full version not the shortened video. There is an awesome acoustic intro!
I saw Firehouse live in 2008 and I was awestruck! Their drummer is insane live and his solos were great stuff.
🔝🔝🔝🔝CONGRATS YOU HAVE BEEN PICKED AMONGST MY WINNER'S DM ME TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR PRIZE 👆🎉🎉🎁🎁
Check out Home is Where the Heart is from this band. Great song. Never did a video for this song. Quite possibly the best one on their first album.
*🔝🔝Thanks You've been selected for a m1pro Mac book and ps5 prize!!!💯 To Claim telegram only"✅*
If you want more songs to hit you in the feels I want to suggest "I'll Follow You" by Shinedown. It's a damn good song, and it's been waaay too long since you've reacted to Shinedown
Such an underrated band. One of my all time favourites. Check out Reach for the sky by FireHouse. Please also check out the band Tyketto (Forever Young). You'll be hooked. Please react to Tyketto. You'll definitely love it for sure
Great band! Saw them live a few years ago in Minnesota. One of my wife's favorite bands.Don't treat me bad is one of their best songs!
Great fan!! Hit me up on Telegram you have been shortlisted on my draw.☝️☝️☝️
This song was played in a lot of weddings back them. This album is great.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
🔝🔝🔝🔝CONGRATS_ YOU HAVE BEEN PICKED AMONGST MY WINNER'S DM ME TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR PRIZE 👆🎉🎉🎁🎁
SO underrated, this was the first band to get me into rock whrn I was only four years old! Woah, 13 years ago... Crazy
Always arranged my music library and set "Old School" as genre for songs like this.In case i want to hear great classics🤘🤘
I love this song! So good... brings me back to the couples skating at the roller rink. I think the 80s and part of the 90s was such a huge time for long hair and also men wearing make up. You talk about the flowing hair, but also the bands like Poison and CInderella... yeah... that is bound to make you question some things. I remember a friend buying a poison album thinking they were a hot chick band. lmao
My high school freshman year boyfriend dedicated this song to me for (ready for a throwback) request and dedication hour on the radio. I was convinced I was in love... we "dated" for two months 🤣 This song always brings me back to that utter hope and innocence of those first relationships in love.
They came out in early 90's but were definitely a part of the 80's hair band sound. They still tour but with shorter hair obviously which is sad. And yes, this made life okay. That's why the 80's were so great and why I love this tune...can you say wedding song for many during that era for sure!
*🔝🔝Thanks You've been selected for a m1pro Mac book and ps5 prize!!!💯 To Claim telegram only... ✅*
Alex: "OMG, look at their hair!"Like duh, that's why it's called *hair metal*.If you want to hear more power ballads, I'd suggest two by W.A.S.P. -"The Idol" and "The Great Misconceptions Of Me".
@Maera Mazarakoy You know it ^^
Such a great throwback song. Still sounds good 30 years later...
My band mates and me have the same feeling Alex. That's exactly why we're trying to start writing songs like that 🎸 (glamrock/metal 80s style)
Kickass! Our generation needs more bands playing that type of Rock and Roll 🤘
Saw Firehouse in concert a few years ago, then Cinderella a week later...what an amazing 80s-90s hair band week it was. Love this song.
Thanks for you comment text me above ☝️☝️*
This song is so sweet, I got a cavity just by clicking on the video. I was a fan back when they hit, as they had a connection here in Charlotte, NC and played a lot llocally under their original band name. Don't really listen to them anymore but yeah this was one we'd make sure to play for the ladies back in the early 90s.
*🔝🔝Thanks You've been selected for a m1pro Mac book and ps5 prize!!!💯 To Claim telegram only.... ✅*
Back from the days when music was real and played with real instruments and raw/real vocals. This is better than 98% of todays music.
Watched them live back in 2019 near Fredericksburg, Va and cj snare lead singer still hits the notes. They still sound great.
I listened to the album this song is on for my commute to work... criminally underrated. "When I Look Into Your Eyes" is another song of theirs in this vein....
Firehouse was popular in the late 80s early 90s. Love OfA Lifetime was their first radio hit. Great band overall.
This is one of my favorite songs off this album. I was in 8th grade when this album came out. This very song was played at my wedding 17 years ago when I married my beautiful wife. This was the song that we had our first dance to. Thank you Hefner for your reaction. Check out the other songs on that album all of them are kickass
This has been in my top 10 of rock ballads since I bought the album in 1994. The second best is “When I look into your eyes”, which is even better than this. “I live my life for you” from 95 is also superb, it has to be the none acoustic version though. Then one of their last songs they did “Don’t fade on me” was fantastic from 2002.
Man, right in the throwback feels with this one! Loved me some Firehouse back in the day.
This song was a popular wedding song. One of my favs. "Don't treat me bad" is another fav of mine. Great reaction!!
I still listen to Firehouse first album at least once per year. Really good album.
I listen to it regularly at school lol
Yay for the hometown boys!! I remember them from pre-record deal. Have seen them MANY times over the past 30+ years and always a great show!! They are playing here locally (RVA) in 2 days, as they do a few times a year. They still tour, too. All super nice, laid back guys. So glad you stumbled upon them, Alex! Keep up the hard work, honest reactions and making us laugh!
BTW, gonna share this on FB and tag the guys in the band so they'll see it.
When I Look Into Your Eyes is another Top 10 smash hit power ballad by Firehouse! 😎🔥🤘🎸
Awesome power ballad. Another is "When I look into your eyes"! Even if you don't post a video reaction you should check out Firehouse on your own. Very underrated group.
This is a different one to see you react to. You chose a great song. Play this for your wife. If want love definitely play it for her.
No joke, 1992 my cousin walks out to this in place of the wedding March at her wedding. Little sis carrying a boom box in front of her cuz the church had no system. Big hair, chopped rest. Glorious (I'm not judging... my wife walked out to Tesla's "Love Song")
I love that song. Been listening to it since it came out. Yes I'm old.
By the way, Firehouse’s “Reach for the Sky” is pretty damn good…give it a shot some time…
This guy has an awesome voice too. If you want the hair you have to grow it. And this is a ballad. That's generally what ballads are. Love songs.
Dude has a killer voice. And yes, in the '80s it was a goal to have hair like soft airy ramen noodles
OMFG i can't believe you reacted to this song, this was one of my wedding songs! One of my all time fav love songs!!!! Firehouse is a great band from the 90s that still captures the sounds of the 80s ballads. You need to react to "Don't Treat Me Bad" now kickass tune if you want something a little faster lol I grew up during the 80s on this music i was a teen when all these awesome tunes came out!!!! Long live the 80s!!!
One my favorites is "Overnight Sensation" it rocks from beginning to end. If you like the double base drums then you will love this. As everyone else has said too this whole album is FIRE!!!!
now you just need some good old Steelheart - Ill Never Let You Go. Either the official video or a live recent version of it. Miljenko still has it to this day and even sounds better. Back in the day, in Allegan, Michigan, there was a free rock festival called Fox Fest and I got to see Firehouse perform twice there. So much fun and a ton of great bands and even til today, Firehouse are still touring in 2022
deffinately need to do more reactions from the 80s so much good music
*Thanks for you comment text me above 👍👍*
Brother! You gotta hear FireHouse songs like..."When I look into you eyes" and " I live my life for you"...other great ballads from them.👍
My high school years were 87 - 91 so when I seen you dropped this I clicked SO FAST!!!!
One of the best love songs I've ever heard is BY BLUE OCTOBER 💙 HEART GO BANG. You'd like it.
Of the top 5 most requested songs for weddings Firehouse has 3...
This is my all time favorite band and I’ve seen them in concert once. I still listen to them today and your right they don’t make rock music like this anymore.
Alex, you love life and great music, that's why this song speaks to you.
You need to react to New Year's Day. They did a song Angel Eyes with Chris Motionless from Motionless In White. Ash Costello is a great female vocalist
that is nice turn ! They released an all acoustic album, really good to learn how to play guitar with
Firehouse was a 90's success story, their first album becoming a hit in 1990, selling 2x platinum... this single hit #3 on the US charts, and is still a huge wedding song today. 2nd album 'Hold your fire' (1992) went gold... but the 90's grunge rock scene was taking it's toll on their popularity... Firehouse's 3rd album '3' in 1995 was a success overseas, but sold poorly in the US... it was followed by the 'Good acoustics' acoustic record in 1996.Firehouse persisted w/ the 'Category 5' album in 1998... followed by 'O2' in 2000... and 'Primed time' in 2003. But their commercial appeal had been lost. The band still tours consistently, but hasn't released any new music since. The original Firehouse was: C.J. Snare (vocals), Bill Leverty (guitar), Michael Foster (drums), and Perry Richardson (bass)... Richardson was replaced by Bruce Waibel (bass) for the 'O2' album, but Waibel tragically, passed away in 2003... Allen McKenzie is their current bassist.
Your reaction was fricken entertaining as hell. Needed a good laugh! Thank you! Other good groups like Firehouse; Winger, Warrant, Saigon kick, Tesla and Damn Yankees…enjoy!
I’d go with “ All She Wrote” from firehouse
I saw Firehouse about 15 years ago as a part of an 80’s hair band concert package. They were probably the first band out. I’m not a particularly big fan of the band but really appreciated that they were truly happy to be there playing in front of people. Great show!
The '80s and '90s had a lot of crossover, in my opinion. There was the late '70s to the mid-80s, which was heavy on synth-pop... then the mid-80s to mid-90s, which was the guitar power ballads like this.
Hey Alex! This was one of my favorites. I do know that some 80s bands extended into the first part of the 90s until those freaking grunge bands took over. Try listening to a song called Wsit for You by a band called Bonham. The drummer is the late great John Bonham. This is a great band. Check them out
Love that song!
Some of us 80 chicks loved that Heavy Metal hair, tight spandex pants ❤ and all the metal ballads!!!! It was so much fun , I’m 57 single and still looking for that metal guy!!!! LOL 😝 😮😅🎉 !!!!!!
Love you reactions to music!! You should check out the band (The Warning) These three young Sisters (Dani lead guitar, piano and lead locals) (Pau drummer, piano lead vocals) and (Ali Bass guitar, piano backing vocals). from Monterrey Mexico who are highly skilled with there instruments and vocal abilities shared between guitarist and drummer. Thay got recognized on UA-cam doing a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman when thay were very young the youngest sister was 9yrs on bass guitar. About a year ago thay were invited by Metallica to do a new cover of the song on there 30th anniversary of the black album, (What A Accomplishment). Thay have put out a few albums since then are blowing are up the Rock seen!! Thay have open for huge bands like Def Leppard, the killers and were the last opening act for the Foo Fighters before the tragic loss of there drummer 😢. Thay are currently touring with Hale Storm and pretty Reckless and just announced thay will be opening for Guns and Roses in South America. A good song for introduction is (Dust to Dust) ua-cam.com/video/Jb7Hi0X16DU/v-deo.html The Drummer (Pau takes lead vocals With her powerful and almost hunting voice. (choke) ua-cam.com/video/dxyRnm-G2PQ/v-deo.html The vocal proformance is so good and powerful! Has so much addictive energy!!! I know you will give your honest opinion on these three talented young Sisters that are keeping Rock alive!!
Please also check out the other 3 songs you've mentioned in the beginning (All she wrote, Don't treat me bad and Reach for the sky) and also Overnight Sensation. Firehouse deserve much more credit they are amazing
Two more by them. "Shake & Tumble" and "Overnight Sensation." Now, Overnight Sensation is one you definitely have to listen too. It ROCKS and it never got airplay which sucks because it is a great ans underrated song. 🍻😎
And that scream at the beginning is outta this world
This brings back so many good memories. My cousin played this a reception when she got married. Really it was probably the wedding song for a lot of people. I however love don't treat me bad. What can I say never found the love of a lifetime.
20 years ago I made this the song for my first relationship. 19 years ago it ended. SO MUCH FOR LOVE OF A LIFETIME lol. God...I was stupid kid.
I have a real soft spot for 80's and early 90's power ballads like this. As much I love way heavier metal of the Era like Celtic Frost or S.O.D., these are a huge guilty pleasure, and really just a lot of the cheesy, formulaic hair metal of the time. Recommendation for more power ballads would be "When The Children Cry" by White Lion, " by "When I See You Smile" by Bad English, "Home Sweet Home" by Motley Crüe, and "Love Song" by Tesla.
Since you are so in love with that beautiful power ballad, I want you to listen to ten more of those same sounding songs with the same looking band and then get back to me if you still feel the love within your heart and soul for that song And I do have to admit, though I have not heard that song in probably 25 to 30 years, but I kind of knew it word for word. Welcome to what MTV and the power of hair metal did to us all back in the day. And I am one of the biggest Metallica fans so I guess we all fell victim to what was being fed to us. Now I'm going to be singing that song all day thanks to you. 🤘😀
Firehouse definitely an underrated band! More please! Dont treat me bad and shake and tumble down are classics but so many more great ones!
Brings a smile to my face thinking about the memories from back then. I was 20 in 1990😁
They still put on a great show til this day!
😁😁😁😁😁Alex.. You could totally have hair just like them. All you have to is devote 5 or 6 years to grow it out just right 😆.. But like any era in time, hair bands had their moment in time to carve out their look and sound 😍🤘🤘
Alex this should be your wedding song to the beautiful Sarah! 😎🔥🤘🎸
ALICE GLASS - "FAIR GAME"...the lyrics are every word verbatabn she was told by "Ethan Kath" of Crystal Castles while she started and ended her involvement in the band. It's amazing and powerful to be a victim and a survivor of abuse. Especially when no one had any idea it was even happening. It's one of the most honest songs I have heard in years. ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=alice+glass+fair+game
Firehouse was one of if not the last “hair bands” to have success just as grunge was taking off
The hair was a big part of the image of rock bands in the 80's...& Firehouse was dressed for success. If you compare their band photo from 1990 w/ latter 90's bands like Semisonic, Matchbox 20, and Third Eye Blind, the 90's bands look like a bunch of dorks, whom u wouldn't pay to see perform live - nothing about them screams "Rock star" the way it did for bands like Firehouse and Slaughter and Motley Crue and Poison... etc.
I remember dancing with my boyfriend at high school dances to this one. They still tour and are still good when I seen them last year
The essence of what it is to be in love. Exactly that! I'm a hopless romantic and this song is one of my favorites. I hope it gets played at my future wedding
Used to play "Reach For The Sky" in a cover band. Pretty sweet goddamn tune! Give it a shot, dude!
Hey Alex, if you're up for reacting to maybe never heard before bands, you should react to Blind Guardian. For example the Song "Bright eyes" from their Album "Imaginations from the other side". That's what I would call guitar work.🤘😉
Imagine dancing to this at homecoming as a freshman in 1990! Great times!
Great fan!! Hit me up on Telegram you have been shortlisted on my draw
Still waiting on the STEOTW album review. It's so damn good.
Welcome to the Firehouse rabbit hole my good man! 😎🔥🤘🎸
My husband and I did our first dance to this song at our wedding. These guys are definitely worth checking out more from.
When me and my best friend bought Poison's first album, we legit thought they were girls, until we read the band names in the liner notes when we got home.
Awww I have seen them 3 times. First time was when they first got started and the last time was a concert with Warrant, Trixter and Firehouse
One of my favorite bands please do more firehouse
Firehouse’s “I Live My Life For You” was my wedding song.
Firehouse is a badass band great vocals
These are songs you need to react to with your wife man!
