There entire first album is fire. When I Look Into Your Eyes from the second album is worth a listen. CJ Snare has one of the best vocals of the hair band era.
If you're heading down the hair metal road, you need to check out Cinderella, LA Guns, Stryper, and Great White... But you NEED to listen to Steelheart "Never Let You Go". Holy hell you will be blown away by his voice!!
This is one of my wife’s favorite songs. This hit number 5 in 1991. This was played at So Many Weddings! And, Alex, great songs are great songs regardless of the listener’s generation.
The acoustic guitar was there just for the opening and any other acoustic melodies needed per song. Usually it would be attached to a stand that guitarist could walk away from and come back to when needed. Also, this album as released in 1990, which is why you're getting 80s vibes from it.
Hey Alex! Thank you for bringing Firehouse to the channel! I recommend: All she wrote, Reach for the sky, Hold your fire, Hold the dream, Love is a dangerous thing, When I look into your eyes, I live my life for you, Don´t treat me bad, Here for you... hahaha, the list goes on... is a fantastic band! Underated...
The word UNDERRATED and LEGEND are OVERUSED. STOP SAYING THINGS WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY MEAN. Firehouse was far from Underrated. Educate yourself you dumb ass.
I saw Firehouse about 15 years ago as a part of an 80’s hair band concert package. They were probably the first band out. I’m not a particularly big fan of the band but really appreciated that they were truly happy to be there playing in front of people. Great show!
Love Firehouse. They would have been much bigger, but they came in towards the end of the hair band era. If they had come along several years earlier they would have huge. I have seen them in concert a couple times in the last 5 years and CJ's voice sounds exactly the same. So damn good. I even got CJ to do a Cameo for my wife for our anniversary and he sang this song to her.
Bro, this was one of my favorite songs ever as kid comin from the 80's. My wife and I played this at our wedding. That voice is amazing! I saw them around 2000 or so, when I was in junior high, and his voice sounded exactly the same live years later as it did in the day. Band was KILLER too. U cant get this feeling and vibe anymore brother. This was a 90s song but they started in the 80s. Beautiful song! Now I see a thumbnail to u reacting to Skidrow so that's where I be. 🤘🏻
OMFG i can't believe you reacted to this song, this was one of my wedding songs! One of my all time fav love songs!!!! Firehouse is a great band from the 90s that still captures the sounds of the 80s ballads. You need to react to "Don't Treat Me Bad" now kickass tune if you want something a little faster lol I grew up during the 80s on this music i was a teen when all these awesome tunes came out!!!! Long live the 80s!!!
This is one of my favorite songs off this album. I was in 8th grade when this album came out. This very song was played at my wedding 17 years ago when I married my beautiful wife. This was the song that we had our first dance to. Thank you Hefner for your reaction. Check out the other songs on that album all of them are kickass
I listened to the album this song is on for my commute to work... criminally underrated. "When I Look Into Your Eyes" is another song of theirs in this vein....
This was a great concert to go to when they toured with Kiss & Winger during the KISS Hot in the Shade tour so it went Winger Firehouse and KISS in MN during the 89- 90 tour
Hence. That's why they call it the Hair Band era. All Rock and Roll bands then had long hair. I was in my late teens and early 20's then. Love your channel Alex❤❤🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Yay for the hometown boys!! I remember them from pre-record deal. Have seen them MANY times over the past 30+ years and always a great show!! They are playing here locally (RVA) in 2 days, as they do a few times a year. They still tour, too. All super nice, laid back guys. So glad you stumbled upon them, Alex! Keep up the hard work, honest reactions and making us laugh!
This is my all time favorite band and I’ve seen them in concert once. I still listen to them today and your right they don’t make rock music like this anymore.
Your reaction was fricken entertaining as hell. Needed a good laugh! Thank you! Other good groups like Firehouse; Winger, Warrant, Saigon kick, Tesla and Damn Yankees…enjoy!
I was a child/teen in the 80's and anyone that's a young adult or teen now totally missed out on the best 3 decades of the 20th century- the 70's 80's & 90's, especially the music! Omgosh, I love the music of those 3 decades. I guess I should add the 60's too because a ton of awesome music came in that decade. Oh btw, I was born in Richmond Virginia so I'm proud to know these guys came from in my city and state!!
It was funny finding this video in the middle of all theses other ones 😂!!!! Of course I’m a female who loved this song when it came out!!! It’s good!!!
This song is so sweet, I got a cavity just by clicking on the video. I was a fan back when they hit, as they had a connection here in Charlotte, NC and played a lot llocally under their original band name. Don't really listen to them anymore but yeah this was one we'd make sure to play for the ladies back in the early 90s.
Such an underrated band. One of my all time favourites. Check out Reach for the sky by FireHouse. Please also check out the band Tyketto (Forever Young). You'll be hooked. Please react to Tyketto. You'll definitely love it for sure
No joke, 1992 my cousin walks out to this in place of the wedding March at her wedding. Little sis carrying a boom box in front of her cuz the church had no system. Big hair, chopped rest. Glorious (I'm not judging... my wife walked out to Tesla's "Love Song")
Firehouse was a 90's success story, their first album becoming a hit in 1990, selling 2x platinum... this single hit #3 on the US charts, and is still a huge wedding song today. 2nd album 'Hold your fire' (1992) went gold... but the 90's grunge rock scene was taking it's toll on their popularity... Firehouse's 3rd album '3' in 1995 was a success overseas, but sold poorly in the US... it was followed by the 'Good acoustics' acoustic record in 1996. Firehouse persisted w/ the 'Category 5' album in 1998... followed by 'O2' in 2000... and 'Primed time' in 2003. But their commercial appeal had been lost. The band still tours consistently, but hasn't released any new music since. The original Firehouse was: C.J. Snare (vocals), Bill Leverty (guitar), Michael Foster (drums), and Perry Richardson (bass)... Richardson was replaced by Bruce Waibel (bass) for the 'O2' album, but Waibel tragically, passed away in 2003... Allen McKenzie is their current bassist.
The essence of what it is to be in love. Exactly that! I'm a hopless romantic and this song is one of my favorites. I hope it gets played at my future wedding
They came out in early 90's but were definitely a part of the 80's hair band sound. They still tour but with shorter hair obviously which is sad. And yes, this made life okay. That's why the 80's were so great and why I love this tune...can you say wedding song for many during that era for sure!
The '80s and '90s had a lot of crossover, in my opinion. There was the late '70s to the mid-80s, which was heavy on synth-pop... then the mid-80s to mid-90s, which was the guitar power ballads like this.
Alex: "OMG, look at their hair!" Like duh, that's why it's called *hair metal*. If you want to hear more power ballads, I'd suggest two by W.A.S.P. - "The Idol" and "The Great Misconceptions Of Me".
"Don't treat me bad" is one of my driving anthems......their best song.
Best song of theirs!!
@@andyjaniszewski2130 I love the harmony when they all sing "Ohhhooohhhhhh" during the "this could be the best thing that youll ever have" verse lol.
Yeah! Listen to that one next, Alex!!
True
Overnight Sensation was mine 😂
RIP Mr. CJ Snare. You were a wonderful person and an awesome singer :)
" Don't Treat Me Bad " and " All She Wrote " are definitely musts from Firehouse. They are now touring with Lita Ford and I think some with Loverboy.
Add Shake & Tumble to that list
@@JKShep3 A few more actually, I figured I would give him 2 of the many.
There entire first album is fire. When I Look Into Your Eyes from the second album is worth a listen. CJ Snare has one of the best vocals of the hair band era.
Both albums were good...the rockers were better even then the ballads...the guitar sound was awesome...ballsy
Wicked album
If you're heading down the hair metal road, you need to check out Cinderella, LA Guns, Stryper, and Great White... But you NEED to listen to Steelheart "Never Let You Go". Holy hell you will be blown away by his voice!!
He did react to it, and he was blown away by his voice!
I would suggest "I Can't Stop Me Loving You" instead.
@@stefantsarev4442 Ah how did I miss it?!!
Perry Richardson the bassist for Firehouse is now in Stryper…. Yes, they are still around and quite good
@@mykelvan I've seen both bands love a couple times! Michael Sweet is an incredible singer, and a nice guy! His last name is apt haha
Cinderella and Great White. Both fantastic blues based rock n roll bands from the 80s and early 90s.
Such a great song. Such emotion and power in the singer's voice and great guitar
“Magical song” you got that right!!! best reaction good job bro. This band is so under rated… they are awesome one of my favorite!!!
Big hair rock bands loved the POWER BALLADS! Its just what rock bands do
Lighters up!!!! 🔥
Sadly this has become a thing of the past
This is one of my wife’s favorite songs. This hit number 5 in 1991. This was played at So Many Weddings! And, Alex, great songs are great songs regardless of the listener’s generation.
Clicked the video since it is Firehouse. They are underrated.
Please react to other of their songs. They have tons of good songs. Cheers 😃
Absolutely

My high school years were 87 - 91 so when I seen you dropped this I clicked SO FAST!!!!
One of the best love songs I've ever heard is BY BLUE OCTOBER 💙 HEART GO BANG. You'd like it.

Love me some Firehouse. Sadly they are too underrated.
I absolutely agree I saw them live two times back in the day
That is true!! Firehouse came out right at the end of hair metal!!
The word UNDERRATED and LEGEND are OVERUSED.

Gotta do more; his vocals are insane and they shread in other songs. One of the best, yet underrated 80s bands

Overnight Sensation by FireHouse is one of the most metallic songs from them. Pretty fuckin' great song!
That song is awesome I remember I first heard it in the game brutal legend I'm like damn this is awesome
The arrangement and production on this is PERFECT.
Discovered Firehouse back in the 90's and I still listen to them now.

Firehouse is a badass band great vocals
Firehouse’s “I Live My Life For You” was my wedding song.

When my best friend from college got married, they used this song as their "first dance" music. That was a good night for my then single self :)
This guy has an awesome voice too. If you want the hair you have to grow it. And this is a ballad. That's generally what ballads are. Love songs.
