Our parents said rock music came from the devil but they never listened to the lyrics. Pure poetry. These young men had great thoughts about life and how they thought it should be. The music was so much better and meaningful. How anyone could not like this. Wow!0

I cam home from school one day and found all my rock albums broken and in the trash. Mom said it was “devil music”. She even broke my Van Halen because Running with the devil was one of the songs. I replaced everything with cassettes. They were easier to hide

This Firehouse ballad became a wedding song for millions of couples on their special day... It was unfortunate that in the 90's, Firehouse got unfairly pegged as an 80's 'hair band' and their popularity declined subsequently (Firehouse debuted in 1990, and found success w/ other bands like Trixter, Slaughter, Saigon Kick, Enuff Z'nuff, Bang Tango... etc. but were pushed out by the music industry in favor of 90's alternative rock bands)
I totally agree with you, it's a shame that this band has been wronged over time.
If they hit the scene even 2 or 3 years earlier I know for sure they'd be orders iof magnitude more popular.
My Dad hated our music. I sat him down, and played this song for him. He was shocked! He became a fan of modern rock after that. He had me make a series of tapes for his car.

These songs hold meaning for those who actually know love, they grew through pain and loss to be stronger. These two absolutely have that and truly love each other.

I vividly remember driving with my girlfriend in my '82 Monte Carlo, t-tops off, enjoying the summer breeze and this song. I'm so glad I grew up with the best music, no cell phones, and cool cars.

Y'all made me cry! So happy to see two people so happy and who love one another so much.
Released in 1990. I met my now wife in August of that year. It has been our song since then. December 2023, we'll renew our vows and celebrate 30yrs of marriage. My son as my best man, and my daughters as her bridesmaids. What better way to celebrate our commitment to each other and what we've achieved together.
And you can guarantee we'll dance to this song.
