My son is a guitar player and when he was young he would go to meet and greets to have the band members sign his guitar case. We went to meet Firehouse and he told them it was his birthday. They stopped what they were doing and sang happy birthday to him. I was standing back and the lead singer saw me and said you must be mom and they all stood and shook my hand, real gentleman. They came back thru a couple of years later and my son wanted to go just to meet them again. When they saw him they said aren't you the one we sang happy birthday to? He was surprised and impressed. I was as well. Very nice men.

30 some years ago, I met my now wife. We heard this song on the radio. Bought the cd, and it became our song. This December 23rd, we will renew our vows for our 30th anniversary. Our kids think it's a little sappy, when it's played in the house, and I dance with their Mom, lol.
Firehouse was a big part of my childhood growing up in the 90's. Every song brings back wonderful memories of my younger days! Great pick, thank you.

I wouldn't consider this a guilty pleasure. This is a nice Rock ballad. Is it super complex? No. Is it bad? Absolutely not.

Most of this first album Rock. Don't walk away. Don't treat me bad. Until you said love song before you started playing this, I thought your dad was goofing on you, because this song is not metal. It's a ballad. Most every band had at least one back in these days.
