    Thankyou for taking the time to film and upload this. I’ve been doing my own servicing for 35 years and came here to see what other items you checked (other than the obvious) and the link to the check sheet is very much appreciated. Never thought of using my vernier for chain adjustment - always something to learn - thanks. On that note, you should really fill the filter with oil prior to fitting and it doesn’t need to be very tight = only 20nm. Both are confirmed in the owners manual and pre filling oil filters where possible is always good practice to avoid momentary oil starvation on first start. 👍🏻

      I’m glad you had some information that you could use from my videos. I’ve got another one coming soon so stay tuned to the channel. Thanks for watching.

    Same bike and color, just did my first change and chain adjustment watching. I ended up using just over 3.5 quarts, you have to remember to have the bike right side up when you check, and of course turn it on first. Thank you and looking forward to more! Happy riding, from NorCal!

    It's a good idea to put oil in the filter before putting it on .

    Great video and very informative. I just rolled 600 miles on my Ton Up Edition so will be doing the first service very soon.

      Be sure to check out my video of how to reset your service light. Once you know how to do it, it’s easy to set up service intervals to your liking and also conforming to the warranty specifications.

    Hi Barry, I love your videos, nice job. I’m curious, how you reset the bike’s Service Oil Soon warning light on the dash? I assume this model has one since the Triumph Bonneville T120 has one? Thanks for sharing.

      I did not mention how to reset it in the video because there are several videos available that show you how to do the reset yourself. I have not received my OBD 2 connector yet so here is the link to a video that will walk you through it. It does require a small investment, but it will be a onetime expense. Thanks for the comment and I hope this is helpful.

    Thanks for the video. Question, I have a 2024 Triumph Scrambler 900. What brand is your stand so I can check if it also works with my bike? Thank you.

      @@giulianoMX You made a nice choice with the 900 Triumph Scrambler. I like that model more than the 1200cc. Here is the link to the stand that I use on my Thruxton. It is a good quality and is adjustable for the width of the swing arm.

      You will need some spool bobbins for the paddock stand to attach to, unless the bike came with them. You can purchase them on Amazon also.
      It is handy to have the stand for doing work on your rear wheel, chain tightening, changing oil and it is a must have if you do your own maintenance. Thanks for contacting me and for watching the video. My next video will be released this weekend of a ride on my 2016 R1200RS BMW to test ride the new 2024 R1300GS at MAX BMW in South Windsor, CT. Happy riding adventures on your Triumph scrambler.

    I have the same bike and color as well… question is, what fairing color, gray or green??

    • @lifetimeadventures9107
      @lifetimeadventures9107  Рік тому

      I purchased the dolphin faring when I bought the bike and choose the competition green. I also got some heated grips to install. I will be installing the faring sometime this year along with the heated grips. Check out the install videos when they are released. Thanks for watching and for your support.

    Who stamps your service book for proof it has been serviced?

    • @lifetimeadventures9107
      @lifetimeadventures9107  6 місяців тому +1

      @@marbal74 I keep receipts and record all service done either by myself or a shop. I’ve done it this way for all the bikes I’ve owned and so for haven’t had any challenges. I asked the dealers for approval and so far none have objected. Some of the motorcycles I purchase do not have any warranty left on them so that would make it a non issue. I like to know exactly how my bike is maintained so I choose to do the maintenance myself. For a person who is not mechanically inclined, I would recommend using a dealer for the service to ensure that the motorcycle is in a safe riding condition.
